For anyone watching, you should know that the v1 version of this motherboard won't update if you have anything conected on the mobo (cpu, ram, etc). Remove everything and only leave the power cables and the HDMI on. Also, the q-flash button on the v1 version is near the second PCIe slot, not on the back mirror.
How do you tell if it’s updating the Bios on the V1? I don’t see a light on it.
@@jomo7804 there's a very small led right next to the qflash button, it's on the Mobo itself
Had no issue at all updating on a rev 1.1 using the q-flash utility by booting into it by pressing End on startup. Went from F14 to F15 then to F16.d back to back without an issue.
Side note this bios update fixed an issue I'd been having with regular blank screen on boot up with a hard power off and on bringing up windows every time. Boots to windows every time now.
And for best practices anyone flashing a bios really should have their PC on a UPS just in case...odds are low but why risk it if it's in your budget to grab a cheap one.

I have a v1 version, but gigabyte brand, so I don't see a light. Thanks for telling me that I gotta unplug stuff, I'm just gonna throw my old CPU back in and update that way.
I really wanted to like AMD GPU, but when I built my first PC with my first AMD GPU my PC didn’t work well. It crashed, froze and so on. I blamed it on other parts like the PSU or the RAM. In the end it was the AMD GPU. For me that's the first and last time I ever buy a AMD GPU ever again.
Bought Nvidia and it instantly worked like charm.
AMD CPU is working though.

The file is renamed to make the motherboard recognize the bios update file

I have a graphics card, and it works well, an rx 570 8gb card, and I tried it on an Intel processor and it worked, but together, this motherboard does not work. The card works for some seconds and stops, and after a few minutes it works and stops, and I am afraid that there is no problem with the processor or the motherboard. Thank you very much
@@Aboahmad592 i got this same problem too, the only solution is to get a new motherboard and it sucks, all i did was enable XMP for a ram that runs 3600 mhz and i think that was the problem, i did the thing where you remove the battery from the motherboard for 5 mins or more and nothing happen, its just a black screen with my fans spinning and gpu spinning at max speed. just see if you can return that motherboard thats what i did and just bought a new one
now im traumatized to even enable xmp for a ram that runs 2666 mhz ( oh yeah i returned the ram too)
The recent bios updates address this issue specifically as far as the release notes suggest.
