I am watching very closely, especially with Simon’s instruction. Because next month I will start to renovate my New France home in Perpignan. I am a young 68 year old woman, with zeal to get my new home (built in 1800) into great shape. Thanks for all this instruction! ☺️

@@KatMer6163I’ve watched several people doing ceiling murals. They usually lay on top of a scaffold to paint , as you also have to be very steady handed with all the tiny details.
Not sure how practical that would be for plaster boarding😅
And when you lay down, your arms get numb from the lack of blood flow to the hands .
So no matter how you do it , working about e your head it hard on your body😔

When we did ceilings in long rooms (like banquet/classrooms) we used 3 sets of scaffolds. All lined up. As we finished the first. That was moved to the other end.
Thankfully they had wheels and locks. But 4 folks could switch off. 2 folks plastering the ceiling, or painting later, and 2 folks movinf the scaffolds, getting paint or plaster, etc.

Would it make sense to cut the plaster board lengthwise for the ceiling instead of widthwise? You'd only need to pieces per section that way instead of 3, which means fewer cuts.
