This lens is really earning its time on my camera lol, and to think I used to ignore it for portraits until I gave it a shot!
Fantastic images man!
Do I need a mount for the sigma? Or does it just mount to the Sony a6300
It just mounts to the camera
Erwin Marionneaux I have the canon M5 Rn and wanna make the switch to Sony after I seen your video! Especially with that 16mm for portraits! What you think?
I think it would be an upgrade! The Sony has more features and a better lens selection. You’re really limited on lenses with the m50
Best review format ever. Having the behind the scene guy is perfect so you actually see the subject distance of every shot. Well done.
I agree, I've been trying to find these things out and practically no one covers it
true..i typed and search this : "16mm sigma 1.4 portrait behind scene" ..and found this vid..thank god..
exactly!
This guy has a great eye on shots damn
I appreciate that!
U are the reason, why i got my first camera (Sony a6300) and the sigma 30mm 1.4, Finally i got my second lens which is the sigma 16mm 1.4 and i love it! Thank you very much for your content! Hope to see new sony apsc videos from you!
Wow ! Extra credits to the model for climbing that three. Excelent video
*three*
I will never understand how someone can be this good at photography.
Never knew I could use the 16mm for portraits and not just for vlogging!! thanks for doing this video man!!
No problem!
Yooo they climbed the tree together. This is some next level shootin haha
😂 gotta do what ya gotta do!
@4:26 had me screaming "sign a waiver firsssst". Lordyyyy
I love how you demonstrate and straight up show the lens in action, show the edited version, and how it works with APS-C. Thanks a bunch!
I’ve been thinking of 16 mm on my 6400 because of focal length I don’t want to be far from subject. So thanks for this video as I can see how far you are from model
Great job. You pulled some good looks with that lens!
Thanks man!
You're phenomenal at posing man. The lady is dope too.
You got some great shots without flash man.
Thanks! I pretty much never use flash for outdoor shoots. She did a really great job!
Flash is not used in photography dumbass
LAND MINE e.e
Great video dude! I also have the 16mm lens but for my a6500. You have a great eye for portrait shots. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks man!
The sigma 16mm is tricky for portraits. Great job
Amazing colors and composition...
Thanks man!
I’m purchasing this bad boy now!
Great shots man. I wouldn't have thought of a 16mm as a portrait lens but you definitely made it work. Looking forward to more from you
This was super useful because we can actually see how close you are getting to the subject, thank you!
Those are awesome! my fav was when she was sitting in the trucks driver seat.
Like the climbing of trees? anything for the shot. Great work bro. Yall in Lafayette?
I'm in Baton Rouge
alright im convinced im goin to get this over 30 ahaha thanks man i subscribed!
U a bad boy with that lense. U know how to shoot in the open sun. That's talent😎
Hey man! Loved the photos!
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I think it would be really cool to see a side by side of the photos before and after editing!
Keep it up!
Thank you! I’ve been getting some requests to do that so I’ll see how it goes for the next one!
When you are a professional with a gorgeous model, you will have beautiful shots even with 16mm... Awesome work mate!
Sigma 16mm 1.4 one of the best primes out there
@@itzpookiie you say "even with" as if it's a bad choice for portraits...
I like this photo so great
I love the yellow part 💕 colour and texture and the Bokeh
2:02 my face when the model love my photo works ;D
Great work
Simplicity is key. You did likewise. Great eye on portraits🔥
i do love your photography style. . cant wait to try portrait with WIDE angle lens after this pandemic. .
I was debating getting this lens for portrait shoots, but seeing your results, I'm ordering one right away. Great video.
I’m sold!!! I’m getting that lens.
when I 1st got this lens I tried on a random dog I almost git bitten I didn't know I'm already too close
Yea it’s a wide angle lens with a short minimal focus distance so you’ll be able to get really close to things shooting
Good eye and great effort in making these shots happen. What city are you in? Well done man, keep it up.
Really nice results 👏
you KILLED those TREE photos
Thank you!
Didn’t realize you were in BR until I saw the French Truck store. Pretty cool. Great work!
These are so good! I am now sold on this lens
Wow, you have great eyes and skills man.. I've been ignoring this lens for portraits as well, will give it a try though.
Love your edits, wonder if you could do a tutorial for this. Keep crushing the contents!
Lovely shots and framing. Good artist shooter and nice lens to help.
Your edits are amazing
Model is good, but the photographer is excellent. Congrats!
Very creative , beautiful
amazing, I'm sold I need this lens
Just bought this lens and am very excited to use it
I just now discovered this channel! Great photo shoot!
I just bought this lens along with the 85mm for my A7iii, Can't wait to use it!
Graphite I know , i use it for videos ... it’s actually not that bad.
If only I could get my 16mm to shoot like this! These are amazing!
bro she’s really gorgeous
wow really nice video and photos and edits!!!!
Bro I have the same setup and I never went to shoot outside just for fun (I mainly do videos) thanks for the inspiration
I was hesitant for months now... your review and few of my brothers videos sold me... I bought it. I only have a A6000 so hopefully my resukts will be Great :) Thanks For this Video ! Amazing Job
I have the A6000 as well and I will also be purchasing the lens. He did me.
great color
Wow really great shots. Still a good camera and still a good lens to this day
Great idea to show photo shooting in such format. Inspiring! Thanks!
Man your color gradient skills is top tier just discover your page and I love it.
Really nice shots, some great compositions + EXPOSURE, by far thou my favourite part of video was when you threw model up into tree :)
This model is much better than the one working with you on 56/1.4 episode. Great bro
amazing shot btw!
Great photoshoot! 😍
Amazing final results!
youre insanely talented. all great shots. all amazing looks
Glad to have found your channel. Really loving this lens. Loving the perspective and how flexible the portraits can be done with it. Thanks for sharing this video. All the best and Cheers!
Hey man question! It seems like to shoot nice portraits you just got pretty close to your subject. Would there be any advantage of going with a 35mm lens for a shoot like this? New to all of this so it'd be very appreciated if you could explain a little bit! Thanks!
Hey! I got really close with these shots because the 16mm lens is a pretty wide angled lens. If I were using a 35mm, I would be able to get further back but I'd also loose the distortion that the 16mm has which is what I wanted with these shots
@@erwinmarionneaux Thanks for the reply! So even if you cropped a picture you took with the 16mm to say an 8:10, it would still have distortion?
You sold me again with this 16mm . Sigma needs to sponsor you
Haha I wish!
you sold me the 30mm. and now this, didn't know this could be s great portrait too. you really have a good composition. Keep the episode going! 👏👏👏👏
Wow you is talented. I am trying to decide if I should get the 16mm or 18-105 for my a6300 for mostly video (on gimbal)
I would go for the 18-105mm. It would be much more useful for video
Really good review format, great job man!
I have this lens on a6500 and had no idea it was capable of these shots. Thank you man I will now try to get the best out of this lens. Thumbs up on the video for sure
I didn’t think it was either! I decided to give it a shot in a previous shoot and was amazed!
Awesome photos!!!
Thank you!
What’s the best settings to use if you don’t mind sharing ? Amazing work 👏🏽
Why aren't any of these distorted? They look so good! I thought smaller mm meant weirder images if shot up close.
They are distorted! Pretty heavily in some shots, but the trick is to make it work in your favor. Distortion doesn’t have to mean bad, and since this is a real world shoot instead of a “distortion test” you can see how it can be used to your benefit.
Very nice works bro :)
u deserve more subscribers
Great shots !
I subscribed when you put the model in the tree xD
You pushed me over the edge and I pulled the trigger on this lens. Great video! You're definitely talented! and I agree... People shot without stabilized bodies and lenses for years and did just fine.
Awesome Portraits man. My Sigma 16mm 1.4 arrives in the mail tomorrow. I can't wait to go out there and start shooting with it.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy shooting with it as I do!
So good, really inspirational man keep it up!
LOL her getting in that tree was unexpected & funny ,
Amazing!!!!
good job, dude!
Super dope video! I learned a lot from this!! for the future I would suggest you including the manual settings next to the sample photos. specially iso and shutter speed
Thank you! All the videos posted after this include them. I know for sure the aperture was f1.4 and iso was 100 for each shot, the only thing adjusted during the shoot was the shutter speed.
Wow amazing shots! 😍 I love your work! Just got the Sigma 16mm and I cannot wait to test it out. Looks so good 👌🏼
these shots are really really great! Dope man
Great pictures, great model!
Awesome job!!! My hat off to you and your model!!!
Excellent!!!
Hello my friend, congratulations on your great content. Would you recommend the sigma 16mm for landscape shots? Sharpness is very important to me. Thank you greetings
Bro.. great job !
I'm just getting into photography, getting all my ducks in a row. Honestly I did it all backwards. Bought the gear and put education second, now I'm doing education haha. I have all the A series Sony cameras and by far my favorite lens for portraits is the Sigma 56 1.4 absolutely stunning! Keep up the great work and God bless you!
Haha well hopefully I can help with the education part! The 56mm is an amazing portrait lens! I really appreciate it and God bless you as well!
Bro you have a good eye for nice pictures
Dude what's your settings for photography been waiting for that video long time
What aspect ratio do you shoot with?
I shoot raw so aspect ratio settings don't really change anything. But once I edit the pics, I usually crop them at a 4x5 ratio just for Instagram
Plz help me i use a 16 1.4 sigma with a 6300 but my settings are off ever since i got it back from repair plz help
I love the part where you both climbed the tree 😍 Nice pictures
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great shots...you have a real talent for posing..!!!
You crushed this homie!!! Awesome pics. Model worked perfectly for your shots too. Great team
Much appreciated! And agreed, she did a great job!
4:28 wonderfull scenes ever to got amazing clicks, thanks for sharing really enjoyed your video
ERES UN CRACK IDOLO
Men, really nice! I´m from Honduras and I shoot with the same combo. Everybody says just 50 mm or 85 mm for portraits but I love the 16 mm because I can use more creativity for my composition with this lens not just to blur the background and not to see the place where we've been shooting.
Technically its actually a 24mm due to the crop
