Overall I would stay at St. Regis Palm it’s more luxurious. You can always take transit back to downtown. If you can stay at both that would be preferred so you can spend time downtown and at Palm
The W the Palm would be a more personalized experience as there is a lot less rooms than JW. The W is in the Palm so is not downtown like the JW. I would recommend spending a couple nights at each so you can do activities downtown and also later at Palm. I also would prefer St. Regis the Palm over W as it is a lot newer. Also W bathrooms don’t have a lot of privacy if traveling with your family.
