Wait, what? Cultured is pasteurized?! No way did a doctor just say that! Pasteurization is the process of killing off all bacteria, beneficial and harmful, while cultured is the addition of beneficial bacteria to the food. While that piece of information was incorrect, I agree with the rest of the information.... Thank you for a great podcast!

Amazing information! I read the book "Metabolical" which describes the issue with food. These bad processed foods should not be called food at all. I am so happy to hear more people speak about the problem. The F is silent in FDA and Dead food - these are key words to memorise! Thank you so much! ❤

    Hi Lisa,
First of all I would like to thank you for your bravery and come out so vocal and strong in every single podcast. I love your content and guests. I have learned so much that I probably wouldn't have done it otherwise.
I was listening to this podcast and while the dietary habits and reading labels are so important, I feel Dr Mindy missed a few things of the mix.
She talks about the importance of nutrition. Absolutely but she missed the point that menopause it is a deficiency of estrogen. We can eat all the right things which will make us feel better and healthier but it doesn't substitute the lack of estrogen and the withdrawal symptoms.
Also, they always are based on the American model. Not all your audience lives in America. Some links or shops do not ship to Europe.
And my last point is to think that all women do work doing zoom calls. There is a large amount of women that do not sit by a computer and yet they will still go through menopause as nature intended. Let's be real. And give some real tips for those women that they stand on their feet all day and that diet alone will not help their symptoms.
Let start by educating ourselves and our children at school.
And also show us healthy alternatives.
I loved the example of Jack's chips but I live in England. I will have to source alternative.
On the positive side let's not fat the pockets of the people are killing as slowly and support the ones that are healthier.
Thank you so much for listening and for the content you create.
I have seen your drawings. You are an amazing talented artist too.

Thank for loads of interesting information. I have to correct you on something though...Pasteurized and Cultured is definitely not the same thing. Pasteurization is the heat treatment where cultured is the process of adding a bacterial culture to make a fermented product such as yogurt.

The Qur’an specifies drinking cows milk (you can get it from a farm and it will only last 6 days max in the fridge), but regular milk lasts three weeks in the fridge and is full of sugar and other ingredients.
    Raw milk ✅

Ok. I don't think "cultured" means pasteurized, I think it means that the yogurt culture (strains of bacteria used to ferment milk into yogurt) was added. But anyway. By calling this dead, so is her stake, so is every cooked meal. I'm tired already, sorry.

a LOT of this was half the truth swerved into crunchy woowoo propaganda. for example, the enzymes in cows milk are not the same enzymes that help your body digest it. they're there to protect this literal body fluid against pathogens, which could also harm the consumer of the milk (calf or human).
no other creature drinks milk into adulthood, nor the milk of a different animal, regularly. you don't need it. if you want it, yogurt is not a bad way to have it because of the probiotics. look for the ones with live culture somewhere in the labeling. if this is a treat with benefits, we might as well get full fat, yogurt with it removed usually has more sugar and flavors added to it to compensate (and once you try full fat you probably won't want 0% ever again tbh). it's a very good source of protein if you need extra too, but not a lot of Americans do.
and I'm not even watching further because that breakdown of misinfo was already exhausting. raw milk might have a better nutrition profile but we started doing this for a reason, kinda like vaccines-- you're underestimating the risk of something you haven't experienced in your lifetime. I just subscribed due to other reputable guests you've had, and this kind of pseudoscience out of the gate isn't tickling my fancy to stay long.

Great video Lisa, just two things though. If you watch it on silent and just observe your expressions seem unnatural and a bit overdone. This makes them feel less authentic and breaks the connection between us and you.
Second is with your advert, the line 'focus on being an amazing mummy'... Tom and you openly talk about not having children and that it is a good thing, we know this about both of you so when you say that its cringe. Because no... your dogs are not your children.

We used to eat meat straight from the cow not from a factory. Living in Alabama, our refugee families went to the farm and bought a cow for 200$ or 300$ back in the 80s and split the cow meat.
