This guy just resonates as the Brian Wilson of this generation, musically and personality-wise. He exhumes such purity, wonder and devotion to music, it's quite something. All this without pretentiousness.
Kyle McKean waited outside Chicago theater after a show a few years ago and Robin talked to me one on one for like an hour. One of the most gracious people ever.
i was at the red rocks show, it was the best thing my ears and eyes have seen in all my days of concert going. i was so glad to be apart of that show, the people, and the venue, and beach house was a bonus since i didn't know much about them but wow. THE BEST SHOW I"VE SEEN. CHECK OUT WHATS HAPPENING AT RED ROCKS AND SEE A SHOW THERE!
Ammon Atine I’m so jealous, those are two of my favorite bands and red rocks looks like the coolest venue. I saw FF in Maine and it was one of my favorite shows ever but seeing beach house too would’ve been incredible
it was the BEST SHOW EVER, cross one off the bucket list but i would see them again anytime, and i wanna get a beach house album now after seeing them live
thanks man, i picked up Teen Dream and Bloom, as well as depression cherry. At Red Rocks the show started with "Levitation" so i had to get the song and just decided to go for the whole album, it was so epic I'm still so stoked on beach house and fleet foxes. i just wish i could find a way to pick up fleet foxes first EP before they signed with Sub Pop Records....if you haven't heard their early early stuff you should check it out here on the RUclips. Textbook Love, In the Hot Hot Rays, So Long the Headstrong, and the Icicle Tusk. i heard this before any other album or even Sun Giant
Those are my top 3 Beach House albums so nice choices haha. I have that first EP on my phone, never really listened to it though. I'll listen to it sometime.
The Minnesotan accent, as heard in interview, is the next new love language! Now living out of state, Im proud of my accent and miss hearing folks speak there. Its been awhile! Thanks for the great interview Current and Fleet Foxes!
RoseQuartz I like to hear them say Tapioca. This Tennessee gal lived in Canada the first five years of her life. I do believe Southern accents have their own special charm. I love how Americans have different accents! It is really funny and amazing. Definite regional differences with inflection.
I was at the Omaha show. Fleet Foxes were so great, but the crowd was a bit of a buzzkill. Such an odd mix of people, many of whom were some of the sloppiest drunks I've ever observed. It was just...weird.

He comes across as a pretty nervous guy to me, which is very engaging in someone so talented. I hope interviews get easier for him over time!
I've always admired how down to earth Robin is. such a cool dude.

Robin has such a beautiful soul. What a sweetheart.
0:45 I don't know what to do with my hands
Fleet Foxes first album is in my top ten greatest. I'm 50 so I've been through a lot of different eras. Up there with Stevie's Talking Book.
all of their albums are fckin fantastic
harvey2609 agreed
totally agree. I’ll be listening for years and years
He is so adorable. I need an age regression machine. If only.
He's so wonderful.

Definitely check out either Teen Dream or Bloom, both are amazing.

Now this is an interview!

When I went to the show in Dublin a few months back the crowd there was also an odd mix of people...fortunately this crowd was a lot better
Lindsey Pindsey Shit I was there too; I felt the same vibe. Still a wondrous night, but the guys deserved a better crowd.
really great interviewee and interviewer :)))
not Mac calling Slowdive a "really uptempo band" 1:18
Scrolled to find this comment.
