BASELINE MID-RANGE PULL UP

In my opinion, a baseline pull up is one of the most aesthetically pleasing plays in basketball. While it’s certainly not the most efficient shot, I still believe it has a time & place in todays game:
- For star players/go-to scorers
- Late clock situations (7 seconds or under on the shot clock, end of quarter situations, 2 for 1’s, & clutch time)
- When it’s what your defender gives you
Remember, shooting 50% from 2 is the same thing as 33% from 3. You shouldn’t be relying on this midrange shot several times throughout a game

This is part of the reason that I think 3 pointers should be 4 points and that the midrange should be 3 points.
