Hey everyone, please pray for some people that were involved in a boating collision in Savannah, GA on Friday. There were nine people involved, 5 have been found deceased, two are in the hospital, and two are still missing. There was a young girl who lost her mother, father, and two older brothers in the accident. This happened when there were a lot of boats out on the water, so please be safe and keep these people in your prayers. 😣🙏
@Coleman T your comment was unnecessary. These people’s families are going through a really hard time right now, and I’m trying to spread the message to as many people as possible.
Really appreciate how you teach us as you're fishing. Your experience is obvious watching you rock with the rhythm of the waves, knowing 9 out of 10 times exactly what you are hooked into before you can see it. DEFINITELY the BEST ocean fishing channel available! It's too bad that i live in Oklahoma! As a chef, even though you aren't, also really like the cleaning, recipes, and best lessons that you share ( THANK YOU Melanie!!!) about great ways of preparing the fish!!!
It’s been fun watching the fish on the GoPro. I never knew that there were so many fish around the piers. It’s like going to the NYC Aquarium of which I am a member. This year as a member they gave me a tee shirt with a Tiger on it. The last year of membership they gave me a shirt with a shark on it.
One pretty cool thing about saltwater fishing is all the different kinds of fish you can catch on any given day... When you fish freshwater if you go out to catch bass that's probably all you're going to catch. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Was hoping you would land one of the big ones they had to be some real tanks to break you off like that I had to grin about your comment about Melanie but that's the life they have when they're married to a fisherman and a hunter I remember coming home after running lines all weekend and had cleaned my fish but I had also gotten like a 25lb snapping turtle what stores are a little bit to get cleaned so being tired I stuck it in the freezer to be woke up to a blood-curdling scream of my mother he never let me forget thanks for the memory👍👍
Hey Brant, does it make a difference where the boat is registered. As far as I know you are correct. They are holding illegal fish. Hope they posted it on social media as they will be fined.
You are correct your season is open only in the state your licenses is from as well as where the boat is registered and launched. So as far as I understand you would have to hold an out of state reef and saltwater fishing license and launch your boat in Alabama
The 45-day summer season will begin on June 17 and continue through July 31. The 12-day fall season is the longest fall season since the beginning of state management and spans the following dates: October 8-9 October 15-16 October 22-23 November 11-13 (Veteran’s Day Weekend) November 25-27 (Weekend after Thanksgiving)
A lot of people got confused from what I heard from some buddies who live in pace florida, I heard boats were launching in florida and making the run to bama waters, they would catch a limit and run back to florida which is still illegal, the limits and seasons accord to where you launch, so yes anyone who launched from a florida boat launch and brought snapper back into florida is illegal….
Having fished Southern California and Mexican waters I agree pound for pound a Bonita is always an awsome fight.. I always loved using light tackle for them. A tougher fight than Yellow fin or blue fin Tuna. Grandpa Jack
So I work at this marina in Florida , those groups of boats actually left from Florida , had a truck waiting in Alabama for them to get back and unload their catch in alabama , and then drive the vessel back into Florida
The way it was explained to me by the Grouper trooper if you live on the water you can take your boat from your house you must go out of an Alabama pass and you must have an Alabama fishing license if your boat is on a trailer you have to trailer it to Alabama if your boat is in a Marina and can be trailer you have to trailer it to Alabama.
Those folks were posing with illegal ARS and they're lucky the Grouper Troopers didn't catch them. I would have asked them how it was legal to keep those snappers, more to inform them that it was illegal. Cool video, I love the offshore stuff. It might be fun to take your kayaks out there on the big boat and paddle around. Mahi on a kayak? Epic.
@@lynnestamey7272 my sister is very allergic to shellfish but she can eat fish. It can't be cooked in the same oil as shellfish, she has to be careful around shellfish being cooked. But fish is okay. Strange that you can't even eat fish.
We hooked into several 14 inch trigger fish, not one did I feel comfortable keeping. Did get a couple keeper vermillions and several red snappers that would have been legal if IN season.
Juvenile Golden Trevally are bright yellow with straight to broken black banding. They'll change to silvery with some gold. They grow 30-48" and to 25-30lbs. How he got through the Panama Canal from the West Coast Im not sure.
Great content as always Brant! I have a question for ya. Why don't y'all use a 2 speed rig for those big Ambers? I mainly use spinning stuff but I do keep a 2 speed handy for big live baits.
Brant, did the fishrulz app sync with Desantis opening up more days? I know he opened more days to fish this year for them endangered ARS but not sure about the actual dates.
I was wondering if u ever use unconventional bait..just to see if u get a a great catch?..I caught a shark off the beach and if I remember correctly I used a turkey leg as bait( cant honestly remember) .I know turkey legs work great for crabs..so it's worth a try..
Man you killed the first video watch it with you I’ll be watching a lot more but hopefully retiring down there soon and I will pay you for your time to teach me your ways you guys absolutely killed it today so looks like so much fun
Hey I’m from Southeast Florida over here we don’t get too many red snappers but it’s open season in local waters only closed federal waters it’s a shame because they are delicious
Hey brant love the vids ,but Is it safe for African Americans 🤔 to fish in Pensacola florida ? ....I never see 👀 them fishing 🎣 the beach ⛱️ or any other place there
It's only open for charter boats but that starts on the first of June there a bunch I idiots lol I start on my charter part time and there gearing up for the first REEL EAZY check us out sometime Brant we are docked behind peg legs
Season was closed for sure some boats have a special permit and they can keep ‘em the first 10 days of every month. I seen the same thing this weekend people just don’t care.
I believe you can get a special license to catch and keep them, not 100% on that. But what gets me is when I'm surf fishing and see people keep undersized pompano.
Brent get ahold of Aubrey Arrington, Deermeat for Dinner's and Bluegabe's older brother he created fish rules app. He is on Facebook and Instagram. Loved the video brother. Long time follower.
Snapper season should be open for yall its just open here in ms state waters unless they left fl went into al state waters and came back into fl state waters!
Hey Brant, when I saw this, the only thing I can think of is that possibly the fishermen came from S. Florida where I live because local waters you’re allowed 2 and federal is closed. I live on Lake Okeechobee so I fall under the Fl Atlantic State Waters so if the went fishing in Pensacola and didn’t change their location, it would still show Atlantic waters. Keep doing what’s right, that’s why I love watching your channel. Love your videos!!

Awesome
Great day of fishing in the rain.
Hey Brant, does it make a difference where the boat is registered. As far as I know you are correct. They are holding illegal fish. Hope they posted it on social media as they will be fined.
No that doesn’t matter
The only thing that matters is where they get off the water at

I was just curious if someone knew something I didn’t. I wanted to keep snapper as well. Lol
We just got back from our first charter trip out of Orange Beach . We limited out on Amberjack. Those things are like trying to winch up a Volkswagen!
That fish at 4:10 was an ichthymundus feriabundus.
I looked on Google and it appears that was a juvenile bar jack. There are photos of them with and without the bars.
Those folks were posing with illegal ARS and they're lucky the Grouper Troopers didn't catch them. I would have asked them how it was legal to keep those snappers, more to inform them that it was illegal.

@@colemant6845 it doesn't make sense to me either. Red snapper are everywhere right now.
Well, y'all can have my share, I'm deathly allergic to them because they eat shell fish, and that would do me in. Literally. Dang.
@@lynnestamey7272 my sister is very allergic to shellfish but she can eat fish. It can't be cooked in the same oil as shellfish, she has to be careful around shellfish being cooked. But fish is okay. Strange that you can't even eat fish.
In the Bahamas a few months ago and caught a 4’ barracuda. Wasn’t sure if tasty but tried and very good.
Brian is a cool cat.
That fish you caught was a young Golden Trevally. As they get older they lose that yellowish color and deep black stripes.
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Looks like pilot fish that shadows large rays and sharks. We see them on the bulls when in the keys diving and spear fishing.
We hooked into several 14 inch trigger fish, not one did I feel comfortable keeping. Did get a couple keeper vermillions and several red snappers that would have been legal if IN season.
I always learn from your videos 😊,great video breant
How are you
Some days it is just fun to catch bait. Great video.
Those weedline are coming from the Gulf and the keys. I know I seen live one on bottom in Citrus county
It's great to get a boat full of different species when ya go out. Can't wait to get down there are rack um up!!!!!
That weird jack was a juvenile banded rudder fish.
June grass ,can get a foot deep on the beach!!
Thanks for the video it was interesting informative and never stop fishing 💪😎👍😀👍

Hello sir 🙏 i like your video sharing fishing spot fish very nice strike fish nice👍 god blass you sir🙏
Has to be one of the best fishing channels out there. Love your enthusiasm.
Amber Jack are excellent for smoking. Yum!
Awesome action!
Brant, did the fishrulz app sync with Desantis opening up more days? I know he opened more days to fish this year for them endangered ARS but not sure about the actual dates.
It all depends where you launch from as far as I know for the ARS. So, I would think those are illegal 🤷🏽♂️

Great fishing trip and good good content!
Red snapper season is open in here in FL min 20 inch
Great fishing brother!! 🎣
Cool Trip
What Rod are you using at the 12:00 mark? Looking for a good spinning reel rod that can take some abuse and bring in the bigger fish
The videos are fantastic 👌 keep up the great work 👍
Nice Bonita. Great Video

June 1st is the first day of Red Snapper season in the Gulf.

Watched it again thanks 👍
Doing your thing bro 😎 💯👊🏻💥🎣🐟
Season was closed for sure some boats have a special permit and they can keep ‘em the first 10 days of every month. I seen the same thing this weekend people just don’t care.
I guess I'm one of the weird ones, I actually enjoy my Bonita. The ones we caught while in Guam were almost identical to tuna in taste.
Brant just got his tail whoop by amberjack. 😂
Great video Brant!
If you have never tried lizard fish for cut bait you really need to give it a try. Really strange looking meat in 4 rolls inside.
Hey! I think that vermillian snapper was short?
I fish out of the north east in long island sound to the rip and Montauk down to the Jones inlet
Cuda has to be one of my favorite shark bait
One of my favouire fish to eat!!
Nice job out there
looks like fun
The Red Snappers seem plentiful yet season closed? I guess enforcement works.
I was taught. Sargasso. Or are you correct calling it. Sargassum. Just curious?
great vid,good info..
What size reels do you use and what brand
Went fishing last night at a pier, saw 7 dead red snapper.
Someone must have chucked them overboard when they came in but I’m not sure.
christ sorry you had to see that
Hey buddy are you coming to fish the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo on the 4 of July weekend
When you were using the sabiki your reel was squeaking
I had a king rig out yesterday and a big amberjack ate it on top. Shortly after I hooked it a shark ate it and it broke my custom rod 😢
I believe you can get a special license to catch and keep them, not 100% on that. But what gets me is when I'm surf fishing and see people keep undersized pompano.
I think on the app ita for when red tide hit. You can now keep them
Looks like you found a few sharks. They have been bad lately.
Great content as always bro, Love your channel!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I said the same thing how come red snapper is closed but the commercial guys are catching them by the hundreds?!

Snapper season should be open for yall its just open here in ms state waters unless they left fl went into al state waters and came back into fl state waters!
Great video!
Why do you keep those extra rods in holders when they are in the way ????
Great video. Love the content
Great video as always!
Why don't you stick with the dolphins under the floating mass. You leave one in the water and a hundred will swarm around it !!!!!!!!!!
Are Red Snappers scarce in Florida?
Hey Brant, when I saw this, the only thing I can think of is that possibly the fishermen came from S. Florida where I live because local waters you’re allowed 2 and federal is closed. Yeah Florida is definitely still closed. Even the for hire vessels can't start till the 1st.
Ok fishing rules in Florida it is illegal to keep red snapper as of right now so hopefully the people who keep those fish get punished.
Dosnt start till June 1st in gulf waters through aug 1. Nothing I am seeing would make it good.
The last time you said red snapper was closed, it had just opened according to other channels.
Obviously fish regulations are different in each region. In my region it’s closed. In other regions it’s open.
What are your set ups?
ain't that pilot fish that hang with sharks
