Where there is a will there's a way. In my neck of the woods an organization called The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council mentors youth and creates opportunity for disabled folks. Safari International also puts on events for disabled folks. Check to see if there is an organization like those near you. I know someone would love to help you get on the water. Good luck Ladon😁
Loved the video! Fishing is one thing, trying to video it successfully take another level of expertise. Thanks for the effort in producing great quality videos
Keep it up! Your content is great! Always switching it up. Never stale. Had a question....Have yall started hurricane prepping in the new house? Possible video idea?
Brant - I'm moving to Panama City Beach this summer from Arizona. The fishing here is hard and the fish are tiny. You're going to have to show me some of that Florida hospitality and show me what Florida fishing is all about.
I love your fishing videos ! While in the Navy , I was stationed there in Pensacola. I loved it there ! I surfed there a lot , mostly at Alabama Point (jetty) . I almost moved there . I got out of the Navy in San Diego and still here. I would love to vacation there and do some fishing. I'm a surf fisherman myself. I even use a cart like yours . The fishing is better where you are for sure !
I'm in the process of moving to Carrabelle, so I'll be just down the road from you. Since I'm largely unfamiliar with the fishery and techniques used in the area, I'm currently using your videos as tutorials, so thanks for the educational and entertaining content.
I was just in carrabelle for a week and learned from this channel. Because of you I caught 2 blue fish a flounder a skate a spotted sea trout and whiting. The bluefish and flounder were on St.george and the trout was off the beach by the pier that used to be the bridge. Thanks for tips!
I dogwt the opportunity to go saltwater fishing. But I do work at a fishing resort that I get to fish at frequently. It's still fun catching bass and catfish. The place is called Bienville Outdoors
You're awesome I love your videos. I also love that you say hi to your subscribers. A lot of you RUclipsrs don't do that and I don't understand why. Because of the subscribers they quit their day job and do what they love to do.
Great video once again what a day to catch to monster like that on light tackle and then the sportsmanship what can I say letting Brad catch a fish on your rod by the way where I come from those are called pity fish lol👍 so glad to see you guys catching more fish now that spring is here keep them coming can't wait to the next one
Oh nice, I just literally watched the old catch n cook black drum from a while back from that same spot. I was wondering why you hadn't gone back there in awhile because that was some nice big nasties.
I use to drive by there for work years ago and always wanted to drop a line but never had the chance.....now I am older and more into fishing than I have ever been I think I will give it a shot here soon and maybe possibly make a video myself......keep up the awesome content always enjoy watching your bideos Brant🤝
What's happening Brant. I met the big SKUNK yesterday. Kayak, Wind, the worst live bait I've ever bought. Lots of cast netters but no bait. But it was no humidity. Low Temps.... 79F. Beautiful day other than Wind and no fish. Still enjoyed getting out.
WHEN I WAS LITTLE AND CAUGHT CRABS 🦀 LIKE THAT IN GALVESTON I'D ALWAYS PUT NET IN WATER FIRST JUST BARELY UNDER WATER. I NEVER HAD ISSUES WITH THROWING CHINCKEN WHERE I THEY BITE AND SLOWLY PULL STRING INTO NET THEN PULL EM OUT.
The strippers and white bass running right now here in GA. It’s been a hit and miss season this year. They are definitely hitting at Lake Lanier. Let me know if you are interested. I’m expecting the crappies bite to be fire after this week. It’s been on and off with the crappies bite. Let me know what’s up if you ever want to come up and need a place to stay.
My biggest on light tackle is 2500 reel is 32lb I tends to avoid the drum. They are not fun to fight with it like fighting a log. But I tends to go for like snook, cobia etc
Brant, could you please review for us the regulations on catching and using crabs for bait in Alabama and Florida. Size? Blue? Is there a difference using a crab for bait vs dinner? The rules in Alabama seem confusing. Do seasons apply when using as bait? Great Black Drum! Thank you!
There no season in Florida. It is blue crab but there a size limit plus no different in using as bait or dinner but only thing is it illegal to keep egg bearing female. But I think there a limit on how many you are allowed to keep
Literally went camping at a lake and shit was crazy. Was light to schmedium winds and light rain, then got swarmed by these bugs. Had my line out and went to spray some bug spray and my line was literally being pulled, went to grab it and tried to reel it in then lost it. Then things went worse by high winds destroying my tent I had just bought and didn't even get to sleep in one night.
A tip for catching crab on a chicken leg.... put your net in the water and leave it.. when the crab grabs the chicken leg, you slowly pull that crab over the top of your net.. they normally won't let go of that leg once they start to eat it.. you know when they grab the leg by watching the string stretch out... try it.. you will be surprised at how well that works..
Love your videos, me and my husband are coming to Pensacola on Friday and wanted to fish , just looking for some ideas of where to go.maybe surf fishing . Any help would be much appreciated
Love that you should catching bait and the monsters. Unbelievable that they are right by the roadside. I would still be grinning. Which road is that and mile marker? Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously thru you. P.S. Bearded Brad seems like a great fishing buddy. I guess he earned a fish by walking the rocks for your whale.
you guys should do a wacky competition where you if any rod hooks up yall gotta race to it and land it and most points pays for dinner or something lol. Would be cool to see since i never see yall do any competitions with each other.
For those of us not in your region (Florida panhandle, I guess?) it'd be nice if you would name what species you are catching, what other species might be present (esp. those to hit such large bait), describe the water itself (brackish?), etc. I'm guessing this water is pretty so-so quality due to all the boat traffic, so, probably not the place to go for table fare? (Kinda like the lower Ohio River, near me.) I'm curious as to what line rating you were using, too. Thanks!
this is orange beach, Alabama. They are catching black drum(related to red fish), they get massive. There are also Red Fish, Catfish, Pinfish, Speckled Trout, and White Trout(there might be sheepshead, pompano, jack carvel, or mangrove snapper i dont fish that place very frequently) They are fishing in salt water, that man made "river" goes out to the a sort of "bay" area that goes out into the Gulf of Mexico. There are so many people because that "bay" area i was talking about is a very popular destination for tourists. I hope this helps!
Angler up with Brant nice catch. Next time can y’all hold the big fish horizontally, because when they’re held vertically all their organs shift. It’s not like it’s a perch. Thank you if you read this.
I have a problem with skin cancer. I live in Florida and have to avoid the sun. I like to fish and have tried to wear the long sleeve shirts an I am very hot. How do you wear the long sleeves all the tme.?
Just curious, I'm from up here on Long Island NY . I'm.pretty sure that was a small blue claw crab you netted in the very beginning for bait. Am I correct. If I'm wrong than the rest of this comment doesn't matter. But assuming I'm right. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to harvest a small blue claw that size for any reason. Weather it be for eating or using it as bait. The idea being to help keep the blue claw population healthy. Using a crab that size as bait amounts to the same as catching it and keeping it "For the sauce" as most of the people up here put it who disregard the law on it. Am I correct or am I completely wrong? I actually just now looked up the law According to the regulations up here and to my understanding most of the country where they're living. You can use 5% undesized of a total number of legal blue claws caught as bait as long as they're in a seperate container.simply. you 1st need to catch and keep 20 legal sized blue claw to legally catch & possess only 1 undesized blue claw for bait I know it sounds strange but it's true. Im saying this because you appear to want to use it live so it has to be relatively small or you can just catch 1 legal one & cut it up. I know your fishing for monsters but I thought this would be good conversation. Good luck. Keep up the great videos.
Hey, it would be nice to know what you catch, and what you can eat. I do fresh water. I enjoy Jack's, blue, and Spanish mackerel. That's all I know. So let me know.. thank you
If you turn your back on your rod a tall bearded man will grab it.
😂
what state are y'all in ?
@@thehairywoodsman5644 state of confusion! Oh sorry thought you were asking me lol.
Brad you helped save that fish. Brant didn't even see what was going on till you jumped into action. Good job buddy. Lol great video

Can't go anymore a? God bless ya sir. Sorry to hear that my friend.

Appreciate you watching
I had a slot Snook hightail-it with one of my rods. Had to get into the canal and get it back lol. Was definitely worth it!!!
I always tie my rods off to something solid like a fence or something close with a long stringer. 23lb flathead tried taking my new rod the other day.
Always watch your pole or have pole holder that can hold you caught nice one
Great video once again what a day to catch to monster like that on light tackle and then the sportsmanship what can I say letting Brad catch a fish on your rod by the way where I come from those are called pity fish lol👍 so glad to see you guys catching more fish now that spring is here keep them coming can't wait to the next one
I need to find this spot
Found it !! Portage Creek Alabama!
This is what makes Pensacola so cool!
Brad pulling off the CMR rod grab!
I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area. You do a road trip over there sometime.

Awsome catches!!
Tip... attach a mopstick to the net pole for longer reach.... its what we did when we were kids... we would catch a bucket full of crabs.
Try wrapping your chicken in something like pantyhose or terry cloth. It works for Dungeness. They get snagged up easily.
yes sir those things are soo much fun

My biggest on light tackle is 2500 reel is 32lb I tends to avoid the drum. They are not fun to fight with it like fighting a log. But I tends to go for like snook, cobia etc

You can keep 10 gallons of blue crab in Florida

Great video, Brant! Those were some choice big uglies on light tackle. Tight lines!
Lol....Thats all I can say..
Happy fishing always..
.
What were the fish you caught and released. And why did you release them? Are they not good eating?

That was a monster, Damm
Love your videos, me and my husband are coming to Pensacola on Friday and wanted to fish , just looking for some ideas of where to go.maybe surf fishing . Any help would be much appreciated
What rod/reel combo are you using?
Love that you should catching bait and the monsters. Unbelievable that they are right by the roadside. I would still be grinning. Which road is that and mile marker? Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously thru you.

haha, caught a case of crabs onetime in gulf shores, back in the day!
Ouch
Brad said they ain't no shame in his game

Angler up with Brant nice catch. Next time can y’all hold the big fish horizontally, because when they’re held vertically all their organs shift. It’s not like it’s a perch. Thank you if you read this.

Need to make a trip in the yak and fish the mosquito lagoon with Me
I have a problem with skin cancer. I live in Florida and have to avoid the sun. I like to fish and have tried to wear the long sleeve shirts an I am very hot. How do you wear the long sleeves all the tme.?
I wear Patagonia. It’s relatively cool material
This old man would love to fish with you
Watching these videos makes me wanna sell everything and move to the gulf......
Brad you have to be the fish.
I literally pulled in a garbage bag full of water a couple months ago in Freeport, smh.
put the fish bit on first then the crab!
Talk about a straight up plug... "we are going to put some useless fake bait on the real stuff" 🤣☠️

Are those black drum?
Just out of curiosity do y'all have an agreement before hand that this is a group effort or you fish your poles and I'll fish mine?
Bearded Brad RULES!!!
That has happened to me many times.
YES SIR PEACE FROM DA-NORTHEAST DA-BEARDED FISHERMEN!!
Where is this? I’d love to hook into some good ones as well!
I love it when the fish breed is kept secret.
Hey, it would be nice to know what you catch, and what you can eat. I do fresh water. I enjoy Jack's, blue, and Spanish mackerel. That's all I know. So let me know.. thank you
Isn't that the place that you and Ron went before and got those big black drum
We went there and made a video about a year ago.

Where is this river located?
Bearded Brad=BB and we love BB
Love y'all! Rod stealing and all. Lol
I notice the toadfish reel is no longer being used, i hear they are dog water in terms of bail arm bending.
