    After your done, How do you purge the system??

    • @481cristian
      @481cristian  3 года назад

      Theres a lot of ways to bleed it but if you dont have the tools this is probably the easiest way for you is start the car with the radiator cap off. Leave the vehicle running until it reaches its normal operating temperature. It may take between 15 or 20 minutes before your car generates enough heat to push out the air that has been trapped in your car's cooling system. You may find that you need to add additional coolant, as air pockets can artificially inflate coolant levels way until until stops bubbling and you see a nice flow dripping out and you should be good!!

    You only have to take the top hose ?

    I changed my sending and temp sensor unit to try and fix a no heat no temp gauge issue. On my car the sending unit plunger looking unit was in the front and the conical tip unit toward the rear of the engine. Does this sound correct? I changed and did not fix the problem I’m having.

      @481cristian  Год назад

      If your gauge is not working after you’ve replaced your sending unit most likely you have an issue in the cluster or the wiring to it and for the no heat issue you mean the vehicle doesnt get hot or it doesnt blow hot air ?

      @@481cristian thanks It does not blow hot air, it was before the gauge stopped working. I watched another video of also the 2.5L ranger and the person said the plunger was the one towards the rear of the vehicle, but wasn't in my case. the plunger one was in the front the conical one in the rear. I think next I'm going to try and do some reading of the ohms with a multimeter and see if those wires work. I do see the insultation on the wires with the gray cap are brittle and showing some a bit of the wire.

      @@481cristian The coolant is also not looking its best and needs to be flushed, along with the heater core.

      @@siksclass how does the temp look if you hook up a scanner to the OBD2 plug under the driver side dash if is reading good in the scanner that means the computer sees good temp so that wouldn’t affect the car blowing hot air it can be that maybe the blend door in the ac system is not working and its only blowing cold air

      @@481cristian obd is not reading the engine temp. The coolant looks dirty. Do you thing this would cause not to read? Or perhaps tstat stuck open?
