The three Hipper class have 8 inch guns that would make little impression on a battleship's armour. That leaves the eighteen 11 inch guns on the three remaining ships, none of which was ever designed to stand up to a full size battleship's guns. In reality they would have needed something bigger over the horizon to back them up. Or a couple of submarines as an unpleasant surprise.
Sorry, but i can´t believe this situation. Certainly, both british battleships got guns of greater caliber, but are only eighteen pieces against forty two germans (24 in the three Hipper and 18 in the three Deutschland). The number of rounds that the german ships can shoot is very superior and the probability of hits as well. Even more, all german ships mounted torpedoes. In a realisitic situation, is mor probably both battleships sunk and one or several german cruisers damaged (maybe some of them sunk). Any Admiral would accept a combat in that conditions (except, maybe, Beatty)

For a better challenge, take on the same 6 cruisers with a single KGV class battleship.

Highly unrealistic
It's a game mate it ain't ment to be realistic
@@Fighter-jc5kq True. I thought that the game was supposedly based on real-life dynamics though? It went very well for the British on this occasion.
@@doodleesq The Germans would have wisely come about and ran away.
Supposed to incorp ww2 gunnery practices and the limitations of plotting a target solution with the analogue equipment of the day.
