I remember this route from when I was a child in the 1950s and DMUs were first introduced. We lived in Horsforth any grandparents lived in Harrogate so we used this line to travel back and forth to visit them.

The 4 car class 385/1s have first class but the 3 car class 385/0s do not. Presume this is because eventually the Edinburgh - Glasgow main line will be solely 4 car sets off peak and 8 car sets during the peak with all other routes they will operate (which don’t convey 1st class) being 3 or 6 car operated.
The first class in the 385/1s were originally meant to have leather seats but these apparently do not meet fire regulations so there are some 385/1s going around on test with no first class seats until Hitachi retrofit different seats.
In regards to sandite I saw a network rail dude spraying the rails with something last autumn ( I presume it could only be Sandite) from like a jet pack style container

ooh, nice to see this in TS already! I know that this reskin isn't fully finished and I haven't finished the video yet so this may be brought up later on but the blue at the ends of the train needs to go a little further back past the doors

As a regular commuter on this line, I can confirm they still have not fully replaced the 142s
Knaresborough and the station are amazing places so I recommend checking them out in real life

I like the livery. Wish you could set rw weather in TS/TSW cos I like looking out the window and it looking similar. (Wouldn't even need the accuracy of FS, just vaguely similar would be nice....)
Hey Alan, on the webcam could you maybe try mounting it a bit higher because personally I like to more look down at someone on a webcam then up. Still great video as always

I have played TS 2018 using a bog standard office computer and I was forced to turn the graphic quality right down low to be able to get a reasonable frame rate, to the point where everything looked unrealistic.
I am now looking at buying a gaming PC that I hope will improve the gaming experience. Please could you tell me what computer specifications are required in order to get the quality and frame rate that is shown in this video so I know what computer to go for?

I have installed the class 170 northern but can not find it in train sim, I have copied the Geo folders? Is it only available in editor?
I think so I haven’t checked for quick drives
