In this video Alex Rugh, CDT discusses the angled screw channel abutment options that are currently on the market.
Angled screw channel abutments make it possible to fabricate screw retained restorations even when the angle of the implant normally wouldn't allow it.
In the last few years they have become extremely popular and today there are a lot of different options available.
This video covers:
Nobel ASC
Straumann AS Variobase
Zimmer Biomet Flex & Express
Dess Angle Base
Atlantis ASA
Dynamic Abutment

I need your suggestion it is gery urgent . Plz help sir
While using CAD, would you advise using AS variobase/abutment if the case requires just a tad bit of angulation? Let’s say tilting the screw channel direction by just around 1-3 degrees or maybe 5 degrees maximum?
Or are we able to get away with just using a regular straight abutment/variobase and do some work around using these abutments? Any thoughts on this, because we have done it several times and it has worked for us.
When it's such a small amount of angulation required, we have found that it works to just use a straight abutment.
Brilliant video Alex, thanks 👍🏽
Glad you enjoyed it! -Alex
Is it possible to remove the screw through the prosthetic part after cementation??
It depends on which abutment is being used. Most of the abutments allow for the screw to be removed even after cementation of the crown. Others, such as the Atlantis abutment, do not.
are angled abutments ever used for tooth 30?
Yes!
This was so helpful! great video.
