The only way I upgrade from my XPS 13 9300 is if Dell drops a Ryzen processor in it. Otherwise, this thing has been rock solid so far. Love the reviews, Andrew!
Hey, Andrew. I like the upgrade in the graphics performance from the Xe Graphics we see here. That build design is really sleek in the XPS line, and Dell does offer some of the top displays on their premium lineup. Dell does work to tune their units for maximum performance, but I worry a bit about their software implementations and longevity, as I've seen a few people complaining of blue screens after about 6 months of use because of update incompatibilities. The camera is a potato like most other laptops. Long-term, though, I'm curious as to how the Superfin architecture will hold up when ranked against Zen 2 and the upcoming Zen 3. Thanks for another truly well done review.
I have never heard of that. Plus, it doesn't make sense because so far TB3/4 is owned by Intel, that's why so far no laptops with AMD CPUs feature TB3/4 ports. Don't forget XPS has basically ditch out all the ports except USB Type C and TB3/4.

“16:10 aspect ratio, which of course is very welcome.” Frankly, reviewers on CNET and RUclips and elsewhere are saying almost exactly the same thing about the stupidly, corruptly, derangedly.... BELATED shift toward 16:10 and 3:2 after years of almost all laptops (surface and Apple excluded) being 16:9, what I call for obvious reasons: CPR, Couch Potato Ratio. Frankly the fact that all reviewers match exactly in having done nothing or next to nothing to help nudge manufacturers toward this absolutely necessary and absolutely belated change, and in celebrating the change that’s occurring, what can I/we conclude? Either a) humans evolved since last year (and 16:10, 3:2 wouldn’t have been an improvement last year because we humans were only evolved up to benefiting from 16:9, or b) most reviewers share either the same IQ or integrity issues or some combination thereof, for not making aspect ratio more of an issue in previous years? Which could it be? I’ll say this; because I don’t believe humans evolved since last year, I believe all those non-reviewers, regular users like myself who’ve been frustrated and complaining about 16:9 for years, their voices ignored or suppressed by reviewers all this time, were right all along, and (b) must be correct, somehow (inexplicably to myself). So if this has been some kind of IQ and/or integrity issue somehow affecting most or all of the laptop reviews, they can partially REDEEM themselves by explaining what happened. Again: why 3:2 and 16:10 have been so long in coming, and why reviewers, by never saying in their reviews (“nice laptop, but what’s with the 16:9 CPR aspect ratio they refuse to branch out from or improve upon?), encouraged this -by reviewers’ own admission- inferior aspect ratio. By the way, the words “of course welcome” in this review video amount to an admission that 16:10’s superiority to 16:9 is **OBVIOUS**. That means not drawing attention to this in previous years (every year since about 2012) must be either OBVIOUSLY stupid, or OBVIOUSLY corrupt or dishonest. Which is the explanation?????

It's really not impressive. It's expensive, doesn't offer a pen and there's practically no ports. There are much better options out there.
What are some better options?
@@johnestafanos3007 HP ENVY x360 (or Convertible) Laptop - 13z-ay000 touch if you don't need Thunderbolt (for which many of us don't) - OR - look to the HP Spectre x360 if you happen to need Thunderbolt... for YES, the AMD Ryzen 7 4700U is still better overall, especially when you factor in both Cost & HEAT, which destroys these very thin laptops before their time when run hard (Gaming and/or Graphics Editing).
@@tony24-u9x laptops can also use pens. Not just tablets.
See for example the great Lenovo Flex 5.
what bout. thunderbolt 4

@@andrewmarcdavid sir, I did but it seems there is a lot new functionality wrt TB4 especially expansion of ports for thin and light, that was not covered. TB4 i think makes it standout and gives us an early glimpse of this tech in this laptop. I was hoping you would cover it in detail and how it performs with current available expansions be it storage/egpu/display/N x TB3 etc
LEET VIDEO. THANKS.
Slim 7 AMD, MUCH BETTER. Don't see why anyone would get this over that.
