It's fairly simple. There was a time in this country where every high school student was required to successfully complete a civics class. What this senator is espousing, was common knowledge a few decades ago. Now he is lauded for stating what used to be fundamental common knowledge. Read a short book by Bastiat named "the law" if you really care to expand your knowledge
Agree. He effectively explained the critical issues with both voting and the filibuster, esp. over time and across party lines. He showed how these issues are supported, exposing the hypocrites in a power grab.

Well said Machelle. For a minor breakage of the law an individual can do 2-5 yrs. in a prison. What Mr. Langford describes has no legal reaction at all and the destruction it creates can/is enormous. I know this is an old speech but it’s the first time I’ve watched and the evidence on Schumer has grown to the level of possibly treason.

If they federalize voting, they will change voting laws every 2 years to meet their political agendas. We have seen the democrat DOJ (political Enforcement Agency) in action last year, attacking any state that presented a challenge when votes were close trying to cling onto a disputed win or when the public wanted to verify to voting process, or when things went sour for the democrat party. Unconstitutional. The Federal Government cannot simply take away constitutional rights from State Governments by passing a law. This would require amending the Constitution, which is also an authority of the States, not of the federal government.
While you're certainly right, the courts do not have a good record of upholding the Constitution in a way that makes any damned sense. There's not even anything in the Constitution that states that courts are the final arbiters of what is Constitutional, yet courts usurped that power and it goes unchallenged. If this bill passes, they'll argue that it's no different in form from the 1965 act, and it'll depend on what justices had for breakfast as to whether or not elections are henceforth federalized.

I hope you looked into all of his claims before assuming he's telling the truth. Politicians are smooth talkers, it's kind of their job... And just bc he has charts behind him, says things that he knows will hit close to home with his voters, gives himself a few good sound clips, and says buzzwords that he knows his voters want to hear- does NOT equal facts.
I don't really give a shit about what side someone is on, I just care about whether or not they're provable liars, if they're willing lie (easily, calmly) to people's faces, and how they actually vote on things that matter to me and impact MY life and family's lives. If they tell me they are helping my state with something and then go and vote against that something- I don't keep going to bat for them like a fool. He is remarkable. Lankford is a real watch dog,. He has his finger on the pulse of Oklahoma and brings honor to his position. I feel lucky to have him as a senator who serves both his state and his country so well.
I hope he keeps your attention. I remember my first time viewing him in a video I wondered if I was watching a fictional movie because his manner just draws you in. And I love how he gets his point across. I immediately looked up another 30-40 of his videos and now follow him regularly. My favorite GOP senators to watch are him (dead serious delivery), John Kennedy (great comic relief which gets his point across) and Ted Cruz (an over-the-top version of Lankford) a tremendously skilled debater.

I also work with other “immigrants” who were implanted in my state who didn’t have to pass anything to gain citizenship. They’re automatically put on state health care, tax free for a few years, drivers licenses are pushed through, housing vouchers, free food vouchers, etc. They’re driving Escalades, Mercedes and other high end cars. To top that off, there’s a “journalist” who complains that they don’t have the same opportunity when it comes to winter sports such as snowmobiling, skiing etc because they can’t afford it (apparently he thinks that the rest of us get this for free). The same guy also bitches about every holiday in the US because he feels that his culture isn’t represented. Wait a minute. Didn’t he move to the US because where he was at sucked?

They did that in Californis, per videos, in 2018 mid terms. Some walked in and gave names of celebrities, were just handed a ballot without ID. Several hours of activity such as this was recorded. In my own state, my selected candidates were ALL, according to a pop-up on the screen, cast entirely as votes to a 3rd party whose name I didn't recognize. It read "your votes will be applied to the ******** party." I protested, was given a paper ballot that I filled out. and told to come back 3 days later to see if local election would accept my ballot. We need REGISTER ONE MONTH BEFORE. VOTING ONLY THE APPOINTED DAY, COUNTING CONTINUES UNTIL COMPLETE.
In one country recently, PAPER ballots were dropped into CLEAR, LOCKED BOXES, Which had to be CUT open in front of elected monitors to observe the count. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME

While I very highly doubt it, I am willing to entertain the possibility that there is an explanation for every questionable thing I saw and heard about, and even every single entry to the database that contains all the many claims of irregularities from the last election. Want me to accept that there can be an explanation as to why Trump was leading in this or that state all day and nearly all night long, but when the media stopped covering it, all the sudden a few thousand more votes materialized and they were all for Biden? I cannot relate with someone who wants it to be made as easy as possible to vote. On election day, I go, after work, to my polling place. I live in a rural area and it is easy to vote here. The polls are open for hours after everyone gets off work. My identification is checked and I love it. To the best of my knowledge, we don't cajole people for weeks prior to an election to please, pretty please vote in an election in which you may not be informed enough to vote responsibly, and that's wonderful! I once moved and failed to register to vote in my new location by the time the election came around so I didn't get to vote. You know what? I'm fine with that. My failure to be responsible shouldn't earn me a voice in the election. I did not deserve to vote that time around. And when I do vote, there are often items on the ballot with which I'm not familiar, so I leave them blank. I don't vote straight tickets and I don't vote on an issue I'm not familiar with just because people who agree with me voted on it.
So if in the name of election integrity, someone decides to make election fraud more difficult, I'm totally onboard with that. I want to see more of it. Notice that I said all this without being partisan. I didn't pick a political party as worthy of praise or condemnation. This is about principles. This is about the sovereignty of the people over the government. That sovereignty includes one vote counted per voter, and by voter I mean someone who was legally eligible to vote, and who in fact went to the effort to actually vote legally. I know that there has been election fraud in various places around the country. Votes cast and attributed to dead people is a thing. The Gore votes that mysteriously kept materializing after the 2000 election were mostly if not all fraudulent. I saw a lot of questionable things happening after the last election.
The success of this country is not measured in the sheer number of votes cast in an election. It is measured by how many people put in the effort to make themselves informed voters, and who followed the established procedures to legally vote. It requires integrity in the form of no illegal votes counted, no votes counted that came from people who were not eligible to vote (deceased, non citizens, non registered, etc.)
We have politicians and their fellow travelers in this country who import non citizens for the purpose of getting their votes, after pandering to them and offering them things sometimes beyond what born citizens can expect to see. We had shenanigans going on during the last election and many before I'm sure. Some people benefited from it and so of course they're going to make all the claims you just did.
All I'm asking for, all anyone who shares my view is asking for, is that, going forward, we take ballot counting seriously enough that every American citizen can have confidence that every ballot that was counted was cast by a qualified voter, and only one vote by each of those voters. This is not racist. It is not gerrymandering. It is not disenfranchisement. It IS disenfranchising to offset a legal vote in an election with a vote that was cast by someone who already voted, is deceased, is not a US citizen, was too lazy to follow procedures to qualify as an eligible voter and probably didn't have a clue what or who they were voting for beyond instructions received from pop culture and mainstream media. It IS disenfranchising when a legal vote is offset by one that is simply fabricated by someone who is trying to rig an election.
Some will say that this definitely happened in the last election. I know it has certainly happened before and it would stand to reason that the last election was no exception, especially after the suspicious things I've seen. Some will say that Trump won the last election. I am willing to say that nobody knows who won, and that enough people were hasty, lazy, or partisan enough to ram through a "victory" for Biden that we never got sufficient answers and confidence in that election. I am willing to say that nobody knows who actually won, and along with that I am willing to accept that the White House is currently occupied by Joe Biden and the best way to remedy that is with the next election. But with the next election, I want everything above board. I want transparency in the polling places. I don't want the government bending over backward to massage votes out of people who couldn't be bothered enough to educate themselves on the issues, and instead took instruction from friends, celebrities, politicians, or propaganda outlets claiming to be journalists. I want only legally eligible voters casting votes. I and every citizen of this country an entitled to this and nothing short of it.
