dude, i just realised something so you can't normally kill the king in chess, only check or checkmate the king such as how you can't fight the king in cuphead! also, how the rook moves only straight in chess, the rook death speech is 'beating you was pretty straightforward!' such attention to detail makes me love this game
Just recently finished the game and this music is my favorite by a long shot. Also your drawing is so good that I legitimately thought it was official art.
You know😅, if we were to make these battles even more in line with their chess pieces, for the knight, bishop and rook, we should be fighting two of each. Potential insane difficulty......

actaully.... the king was originally a boss fight, but i think it was scrapped because it breaked the rules of chess. or maybe thats just me

Main version is for the OST playlist while the Pieces version is the In-game version
And the Queen?
The queen has a vastly different theme compared to the other chess pieces
Her theme is completely different, it's called "The Queen's Riguadon".
the bishop one is the best
I think the rook is a bit more fun, but both are pretty enjoyable!
