This matchup actually makes a lot of sense the more I think about it. Something Cuphead is known for is being able to retry a fight as many times as he wants. He can always come back after being killed. This is something that Death would despise for sure, since he already thinks cats having nine lives is absurd enough.

Considering he beat The Devil, Cuphead actually has a good shot here. Not that he can kill Death, he didn’t kill the Devil, just beat him into submission. The idea he can beat DEATH into submission to give up his chase of him will be very satisfying who those who thought Puss should’ve done so in the film. I would like to stress, not escape death, just get him to leave him alone until his time actually comes.
I for one think you did an most excellent job with this, because you make Death look even more terrifying and with the cuphead flare added to it, absolutely amazing.
As several people have pointed out already, Death isn't too keen on beings with multiple lives, however he does seem to tolerate them if they value those lives... Cuphead, however, bet his soul in a game of dice without a second thought, showing such a disregard for his lives that Death would absolutely hate him (this might also be the reason why this crossover was made too, as the line at the end seems to be Death calling the cup out on his recklessness).
It’s amazing you made the final scene actually feel like a proper duel despite Death’s overwhelming size and movement. Most bosses in Cuphead feel like stationary targets, impenetrable walls, but here Death moves like an actual participant in an even battle!
1:34 Love the detail of Cuphead's own ghosts being used as parryable objects, both a nod to being able to do that in co-op, but also how Death can show people their past lives (like he did with Puss).

I think the best part about this animation is the fact that Cuphead, despite having an incrdible arsenal is only using his first weapon. No roundabout, no lobber or even the crackshot. And he got death to his final phase. Amazing Edit: I also forgot to add this but Cuphead was 1- not using his EX moves as much as he should. He is still understimating death and his power still techinically backs this up. And 2- No super arts either ! Cuphead is using none that ! My guy straight up is playing with Death until he gets bored and just floor it ! Edit 2: Ok so someone corrected me and they were right. Cuphead did use his First Super Art. But only once and in the final phase. PLUS: His first super art still is the weakest of the 3 which not only says a lot once again about how much Cuphead is playing around with death even now but also not even using it as frequently as he should considering how many parries he got in the video
This was amazing. I wasn't expecting it to be like a battle from Cuphead, but I can see it in the game. Plus the last battle was perfect. I always saw the final battle in the film as, as overstated as it is, to be similar to a Dark Souls boss battle. This in no way lessened it despite the style of the fight. Well done.
The fact Death has a reason to go after Cuphead makes this work amazingly, especially since the reason is that Cuphead generally doesn’t stay dead as he can basically retry fights until he wins. That would make Death pretty mad.
Imagine how many times Cuphead went through that if he was almost at the end the last time, either the time he left off on or the next would have him win the fight.
What I feel like this animation does right in comparison to others is that it’s a believable level of difficulty that you’d find in an actual cuphead boss. All the insane shit going on is what makes it better, and this has mastered it
however, of course, I haven't played cuphead for a long time, but it seems to me that for 2 of the 3 stages a certain improvement is required - dodging through the enemy, if my memory does not fail me

I just realized something. Cuphead, as a cartoon character, technically is immortal. No matter how much damage they take, they can’t be killed or age. That’s probably what sets Death after him and why Cuphead will be able to defeat him, unlike just accepting him like Puss did. It would be good to apply context to how characters view certain concepts like Death.
Everything about this is perfect! And it still looks and feels like watching a skilled player's playthrough. This is just... 100% a smooth animation, and still would work as a real challenge in the game!
It's very interesting because it makes a time loop because, at the start of the animation, Cuphead sees his previous life and when he dies and starts again he sees his previous life.

Those projectiles are more of a fuchsia color rather than pink so technically they wouldn't be parryable unless they were the same shade of pink if they were pink
I do like the contrast between Cuphead and Puss in the opening scene because where Puss was too scared to pick up his sword and duel Death in a fight, Cuphead doesn't hesitate and grabs his arm before placing it back onto his body and facing Death without fear knowing that he can defeat him.

Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet. - Death Amazing animation, interestingly conceptualized attacks that represent Death very well and follow the flow of the Cuphead gameplay style nicely; the final portion of the fight was an interesting deviation from said standard that looked awesome in it's own way. Very well done!
"Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet." _Do the slapstick cartoon characters count?_ They shrug off lethal scenarios like it's nothing. *Examples:* Screwy Squirrel, Tom and Jerry, Droopy, etc.
Honestly, Death would probably be after a lot of video game characters due to them having "extra lives" something Death hates. Really cool animation and extremely faithful to all the things Death does in the movie. Especially faithful in that Cuphead can't beat him. Having cuphead needing to jump on his ghost representing his 'lives' to platform is very creative. Amazing job!!!
@@kataveonevans6224 That is pretty funny how in most games if you beat Kirby he just goes for a nap. And choosing to continue or not is basically choosing if Kirby is willing to wake up or not.
This should be called the Cuphead fights series. Where it started with Cuphead losing his brother Mugman in an accident that HE caused. It's all because a blue-haired boy pissed him off in the middle of the forest. It started with him fighting The Devil while aquiring Nightmare powers which led to Cuphead killing him in the process, soon he meet that kid again but he lost, so he had to open another portal to another world which is Madness combat, where he had to fight off the Auditor, and then Tricky. That led to him losing his nightmare form, which means he had to fight tricky all by himself but Hank came and helped him, after defeating tricky, cuphead jumped to another portal which led him to fighting Choo Choo Charles. Cuphead prevailed against Choo Choo Charles, so he had to keep looking for a portal back home, but that led him to DEATH Edit: apparently cuphead lost this battle, in which in fact it did lead him to DEATH so many times
This was actually so cool, the moveset for the boss was amazing and smooth, not to mention you even animated the delay the animations get when cuphead ults on him
OMG THAT WAS SO EPIC!!! The end had me on my seat and the music was outstanding. This boss fight looks so fun and it has all the elements to a good fight I love so much. Beautiful art, fantastic sound from the attacks, an amazing fighting style from the boss, and the music setting the tone to move and think fast or die. Love it
It seems like Deaths' goal here isnt to kill Cuphead directly ( given how thats impossible given Cupheads nature ), but to rather break his spirit. It's nice to see the inverse of the formula on Cuphead, given how Cuphead beats his bosses into submission so its nice to see Cuphead on the other end of that gun. edit: mfw cuphead could have parried the last attack ffs
Man, this was actually a cool crossover/battle for Cuphead against Death, since Cuphead will be in a endless loop of retrying to defeat Death, which is a crazy idea lol and great animation as always Morø!
Oh god my heart skipped a beat as I see Death appearing in MORØ's channel, definitely unexpected. I love this so much, the intensity, the Cuphead swing and the Puss in Boots kinda spain vibe all mixed together sounds so good, great job.
pretty awesome to see this, although letting you know you got that one miniscule of animation error in 1:47 with a floating shard. But overall this is one great video. Each phases really fit and animated so well.
The animation, the music fitting not only Death himself but in line with the game, it all came together in a beautiful cycle that I cannot get enough of!! Cuphead can face The Devil with his confident smirk, and a little terror, but facing off against a giant cloaked wolf who makes you see all your dead and shattered heads again and again definitely only drives him further to break. this. cycle. If not beat Death at least get back his life before his sand fully runs out.
the most interesting thing is that all the battles of cuphead, in the style of the game, not depending on how non-standard the enemy is for the game cuphead, but in the battle of the "nightmare cuphead vs devil" (just in the world of cuphead) was not in the style of a boss fight, but in the style of animation)
I like how relentless Death is. I expected a Grim Reaper sort of boss (because I have not watched Puss in Boots, which I think is the title if not sorry lol) but I guess not. I mean it’s Death so it’s quite fitting. And as a bonus his game over screen matches with the rhythmic taunting all Cuphead bosses seem to give. Excellent work again MORO!
This is how I wish the Cuphead TV Show looked. I love how you captured the art style that is from the games. This looks like an actual Cuphead boss battle.
I know Cuphead lost. But as shown in the video, he's kinda immortal. So, if he learns Death's pattern, he'll whoop his ass for sure! Edit: Y'all brought up some good arguments; keep it up! Edit 2:At this rate, I'm gonna have to turn off notifications :0

I know I'm way too fucking late for anyone to read this but I like how Death actually gets smaller with every phase Cuphead bosses sizes are not meant to be literal or canon. It's for game play purposes so that you have an easy to hit target. Death shrinking and growing harder and harder to hit while still never letting up on the pressure is genius to the idea of being an unstoppable force
Something I noticed in the battle is that cuphead actually takes damage enough for him to get killed. Each phase he is hit once. The first is at 1:19 where he gets hit by the skull now he would have 2 HP. The second is at 1:44 when he gets hit By a shard piece in the bottom left. 1 HP remains. The last one is at 2:45 when lubo (that is wolf in Spanish and multiple times in the last wish is what he is referred to as By puss in boots so imma use it) does an undodgeable attack. Meaning this fight can be done, you just have to have 2 HP when the fight reaches the fire ring state, or alternatively, have the invincibility special active at that time

If this where an actual Cuphead boss, this would be the hardest one!
*Maybe a Cuphead 2?*
@@krisdreemurr3533 Maybe.
The fact that this not only looks wonderful visually but that it also looks immensely fun to play is fantastic!
0:50 noooooo the little hourglass guy
WHY DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A REAL CUPHEAD BOSS THATS INSANE 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Dude my mind BLOWN (no diddy)
I realized that, as a cartoon, that was probably the first time Cuphead saw blood, and I don't think seeing it coming from his severed limb made it any better for him.
Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet.
- Death
Amazing animation, interestingly conceptualized attacks that represent Death very well and follow the flow of the Cuphead gameplay style nicely; the final portion of the fight was an interesting deviation from said standard that looked awesome in it's own way. Very well done!
"Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet."
_Do the slapstick cartoon characters count?_ They shrug off lethal scenarios like it's nothing.
*Examples:* Screwy Squirrel, Tom and Jerry, Droopy, etc.
One of his defeat quotes.
"Think you can defeat me? Place your bet. But no one has escaped me yet."
@@alexfischer7876If they're forgotten or if the plot tells them to die,yes
YOU ARE BIG THIS IS THE BEST ANIMATION OF CHUPEAD OF EVER TIME!!! VERY COMPLIMENT👍👍👍
2:19 i like the detail of him getting scared haha
Honestly, Death would probably be after a lot of video game characters due to them having "extra lives" something Death hates.
Really cool animation and extremely faithful to all the things Death does in the movie. Especially faithful in that Cuphead can't beat him.
Having cuphead needing to jump on his ghost representing his 'lives' to platform is very creative.
Amazing job!!!
I wonder how he would do against kirby?
@@supermatthewbrosI don't think Kirby dies actually he just sleeps as a game over unlike cuphead when he dies he would turn to a ghost
Death when he sees mario using a giant luigi hammer against him:
@@dylanzlol7293 that wouldn't work because they need to be in Luigi's dream for that to happen.
@@kataveonevans6224 That is pretty funny how in most games if you beat Kirby he just goes for a nap. And choosing to continue or not is basically choosing if Kirby is willing to wake up or not.
Its amazing how moro can do this incredible animations there so good I love them!!
Cuphead prevailed against Choo Choo Charles, so he had to keep looking for a portal back home, but that led him to DEATH
Edit: apparently cuphead lost this battle, in which in fact it did lead him to DEATH so many times
Wow nice story bro that was amazing XD
My guy you wrote an entire novel.
Seriously tho good story bro :)
Props 👏
I love how this went, but how about that time where Cuphead tried to intervene with Sans and Bendy? Was that before the Tricky fight?
I don't think so
This was actually so cool, the moveset for the boss was amazing and smooth, not to mention you even animated the delay the animations get when cuphead ults on him
Why isn’t this a real battle it looks so good
OMG THAT WAS SO EPIC!!!
I was thinking that too
He could have parried the whole stage
Or he could have save his cards and use his special with invincibility
@@ShorkBoi the attack isnt even up for that long. Also Cuphead did the same shit for King Dice, so I dont see why he didn't
He could also have dashed to the end, seeing how there was a gap there within dashing distance.
The Crossover no one asked for but everyone needed.
Just goes to show how OP the Smoke Bomb charm is.
You guys really nailed the look and feel of the original game!
Man, this was actually a cool crossover/battle for Cuphead against Death, since Cuphead will be in a endless loop of retrying to defeat Death, which is a crazy idea lol and great animation as always Morø!
It's not retrying. It's a time loop. They are different.
0:12 aww look at little bugger OH SHI
that sure is a bugger
Oh god my heart skipped a beat as I see Death appearing in MORØ's channel, definitely unexpected. I love this so much, the intensity, the Cuphead swing and the Puss in Boots kinda spain vibe all mixed together sounds so good, great job.
This boss battle between Cuphead and Death would be more exciting to watch this part of it! So hyped!
Oh my god How incredible, this really beautiful animation ❤❤❤
pretty awesome to see this, although letting you know you got that one miniscule of animation error in 1:47 with a floating shard.
What an amazing video, loved how it turned out to be Cuphead’s purgatory 👍
the most interesting thing is that all the battles of cuphead, in the style of the game, not depending on how non-standard the enemy is for the game cuphead, but in the battle of the "nightmare cuphead vs devil" (just in the world of cuphead) was not in the style of a boss fight, but in the style of animation)
maybe because nightmare cuphead wasn't the underdog and was just straight up more powerful than the devil then compared to normal cuphead
It's Cuphead, not Caphead.
His fight does play a bit similar to Death and Dracula from Castlevania.
A cool little detail ive noticed is that when death looks at cuphead with one eye, the devil does that too in the main game, pretty cool detail
1:32 did it better than Enchanted Portals
Facts
So facts bruh🎉
I didn’t expect this video to be a loop, but otherwise, the boss looked very clean
The animation looks very flawless and clean
Nice fight and nice sealed vessel attack 😂
This is how I wish the Cuphead TV Show looked. I love how you captured the art style that is from the games. This looks like an actual Cuphead boss battle.
0:45
Cuphead : yeah, it’s pretty easy and then it’s back on
I mean he’s a cartoon that’s why❤😅
I used to watch you all the way back when I was two years old and wow, you’ve gotten so good at animating it looks better than the real game
Unless cuphead forgets everything when he dies
I mean he did die like idk 100's of time's maybe in this cycle?
@@Bendy_cutoutit's like in the game you'll die to the Cuphead bosses but you'll eventually overcome them
@@AJotasticGamer but we are the players
In cuphead we need to learn the bosses pattern
But this is animation not a game
cuphead is in this one alone
Does that make sense?
Maybe not
Unless the deaths we have in the game is not canon
Except since he’s still Death there isn’t really a way to defeat him unless you can actually over death as a concept period
@@Bendy_cutoutthey are kinda in the Cuphead game if you go to a water pit creature he'll tell you the amount of times you've perished. Which could range from none to a thousand depending on the player
That was absolutely amazing! BEAUTIFUL animation! You captured the style perfectly!
THAT’S SO COOL! WELL DONE 👏🏼
I am very much looking forward to it.
Your new videos are no longer limited to indie games, but integrate indie games with other famous things and make a very interesting crossover.❤❤❤❤
2:13 Certified Nightmare Cuphead moment
I love how each character that fights another character in another verse fights in the style that their game fights like cuphead for example
0:28 If you didn't notice or figured out cuphead has bin dying or and over again since we can see he's head every here on the ground🍵
When this video was recommended to me and I watched it, I was as fascinated as a little child and was constantly laughing and smiling, your animation brought my childhood back to life and I was able to get excited 😊
I know I'm way too fucking late for anyone to read this but I like how Death actually gets smaller with every phase
Cuphead bosses sizes are not meant to be literal or canon. It's for game play purposes so that you have an easy to hit target. Death shrinking and growing harder and harder to hit while still never letting up on the pressure is genius to the idea of being an unstoppable force
You captured the horrifying and charming nature Death exuded in the film beautifully. Very well done!
Meaning this fight can be done, you just have to have 2 HP when the fight reaches the fire ring state, or alternatively, have the invincibility special active at that time
I believe it's lobo,not lubo
Or use the invincible super as well.
0:24 I like how he tells Cuphead to pick his arm back up and reattach it.
death would be the type of guy to use an undodgeable attack at the end of the fight, wouldn't he?
Not only that, but made Cuphead bleed, so cartoon and game logic gets thrown out the window.
0:12😂😂😂
3:00

This looks like it actually came straight out of Cuphead! Awesome work man!
3:01 fun fact if you rewind it to the beginning, it technically means he came back to life
One must imagine make cuphead happy
One must imagine cuphead happy.

I love moro's cuphead battles. They look so real I swear
Who else regrets that MORO only makes animations and not actual mods ?
2:06 the patterns are very simmilar to pure vessel
2:46 should've parried
Can't be parried
Should've save his health
How?
It’s pink so he can
Bro this is amazing, I hope studio MDLR see this
This was a sick boss battle for Cuphead against Death
I’ve even reacted to this video
The battle actually loops every time Cuphead dies, nice detail right there
This looks like a REAL FIGHT good job
that absolutely gonna be so epic and masterpiece man !
Couldn't wait for another masterpiece 😃
BRO THIS LOOKS SO GOOD IT'S LIKE ITS A REAL VIDEO GAME LEVEL 🤩🤩
0:50 to skip cutscene...even tho idk who would wanna do that because the entire thing is MARVELOUS!
