Maddi I love that your doing this. We’re the same age and I feel like when I was growing up on the internet so many girls who shared their diet were either shoving _that_ specific cult like diet down my throat or they were very clearly not showing what they actually ate. Yeah no one eats 10 blueberries and rice crackers all day. If I was 14 now and watching this, it would validate what I wanted to eat and probably have skipped my disordered eating all through high school.

scrambled egg tip: take it off the heat just before it's done, the heat of the pan will continue to cook it but it will be perfectly silky and smooth :)

I love that you shared about the vitamins you’re taking. I recommend getting a gut bacteria test done and an allergy test it’s so nice to see if you’re allergic to gluten or sensitive to it etc. my girl omgggg highly recommend 💗

not only is it always refreshing to see you eat full, well rounded meals but for the fact that you don't eat plant based/vegan like most LA influencers//celebs! don't get me wrong, i know veganism can be not restrictive and totally delicious but for someone in their 20s to not be afraid to eat what they truly want and not be pushed by their surroundings i truly love that! most LA videos i watch from people in their 20s eat this insanely healthified vegan strict way of eating and i've even seen some people afraid to cook with oil and butter....so thank you maddi for being a normal human! we appreciate this cooking queen.

i try to cook most my meals monday-friday and then let myself eat out on the weekends! but sometimes things change & i have a midweek dinner plan with someone or i'm craving a burger or something like that hahah

I loveeee these videos. Definitely got more ideas thank you sm 💛 I’ve been seen a holistic doctor and nutritionist definitely agree with whole wheat being awful for the body. Anything you can get sourdough or gluten free is the way to go for a healthy gut.
Wheat to your diet like pasta etc also can add symptoms to your physical like oily skin, redness in the skin, inflammation in the body, and water retention in the lymph system. 💛
Whole grains are good for you and your gut. Only stop eating gluten if you are actually intolerant to it or celiac.

@@ashwini2769 wheat/gluten is fine if you don't have an intolerance or celiac disease :) if you are intolerant, you won't have to question it. you will immediately know haha. otherwise you are good to go if your body gets along with it well and you enjoy it. trust me, us gluten free folk dont have more fun

Hi Maddi! I love your cooking videos, especially since I have been getting into cooking recently. I was wondering if you had any tips for cooking only for yourself? I find myself cooking and having a lot of leftovers and.I tend to never finish them all. Also, it would be great to hear your opinion on your favorite kitchen appliances/ appliances that you recommend for beginners!
i still struggle with this sometimes! My best advice would be to buy ingredients you can use with multiple meals & if you eat meat try to find a local butcher that way you can buy in smaller quantities! Also if you're following a recipe be sure to see what the serving size is! A lot of the time it's for 4 people so you can always cut a recipe in half ❤ hope this helps !

how did you cook the steak? what temperature and for how long? and what kind of steak do you normally buy? i need to explore red meats more, this was amazing inspo thank you for the vid!!
season the steak with salt & pepper then let it sit at room temp for at least 15 mins
i always heat up a little oil in a cast iron skillet until it's smoking then add the steak. cook until a nice crust/color forms and then flip
add a nub of butter, some garlic & herb of your choice and baste the steak for a few minutes. once the internal temp reaches 120 fahrenheit remove it from the pan and let rest for 10 mins! ✨

it's the same as the chicken salad i made earlier in the week i just subbed out the chicken for soba noodles!
