@@MrBigfoot96 I certainly have thought about making videos for it. But because the game is so free and unrestricted, it's a bit tricky to make a coherent video about it. Just building a kingdom won't make for an interesting video, I think. Needs a bit of a story... but about what? 🤔
@StudframeAnimations that's true haha if I remember there was cutscenes in the game kinda like rock raiders, and I think the main theme is Cedric the bull and his goons always wants to capture the king and take his place. Lol there's an intro on youtube somewhere 😅
@@danielrock04 There was a demo version? Had no idea. That’s awesome! To be honest the full game is still fun to play today. Could give that a chance if you want. 😁
I have a question... Was there a creative decision behind the decorative red bricks in the wall in the tunnel? There is usually only a single one in the 99 & 01 release of LR which is opposite the first rail track which is absent from your recreation but there are 3-5 other decorative bricks in the wall instead. Was this deliberate or was it a result of the import of the map? I appreciate that a lot of this was manual such as the the adding of voice lines when bricks are taken. I did notice catch Red Beard picking up 3 whites, getting shot and not losing any, and then shooting a cannon ball instead of using the lighting wand Lap 3 and Robinhood driving through a couple of bricks without picking them up... But that makes me appreciate the effort that went into this even more knowing it was a deliberate effort!
You have an eye for detail! The red bricks were actually something I've never noticed when playing the game as a child. It was when I checked the textures of the map that there was a hidden 2x2 bricks on it. Because it was so subtle, I decided to add a couple more in there so it's more apparent. But I placed them kind of random so that's why it's in a different spot. The powerups are actually really difficult to keep track of. Because everything is hand animated, I don't really have an effective system to keep track of the bricks a NPC picks up. So I took some liberties here and there to keep the race more interesting, rather than driving away from the opponents within the first lap. Which would happen in the original game. 😋 Thanks for noticing the little details!

@@StudframeAnimations Just like Mama told Poppa and Laura told Nick: "You can move a mountain if you do it Brick by Brick"!
As a child I would always help the regular CPUs get in front of the boss of the stage. Something about making them place 3rd or 4th in the Grand Prix was funny to me.
@@JayS96Bruh Yes very true! Gotta support the others. 😜
Omg wow! Immediately shares with my older brother to reminisce. Thankyou ^-^
@@notgreatatcoding No problem! Thank you for sharing the video! 😁
I love how you make these classics look new and fresh! Bravo! Keep the lego golden years alive and well! 🎉
Thank you so much! I will do my best!
@@StudframeAnimations heck ya man! Have you ever thought about doing the lego knights kingdom game remake?
@@MrBigfoot96 I certainly have thought about making videos for it. But because the game is so free and unrestricted, it's a bit tricky to make a coherent video about it. Just building a kingdom won't make for an interesting video, I think. Needs a bit of a story... but about what? 🤔
@StudframeAnimations that's true haha if I remember there was cutscenes in the game kinda like rock raiders, and I think the main theme is Cedric the bull and his goons always wants to capture the king and take his place. Lol there's an intro on youtube somewhere 😅
@@MrBigfoot96 Could do something with that! 😁
Excellent work! Happy 25th, Lego Racers!!
@@ReubenTurnerMusic42 Thank you! Happy 25th as well! ❤️
lego racers released on august 23, 1999
Superb! Really nostalgic 😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌
@@JordiBudiyono Thank you! Glad it brought fond memories. 😄
I only had the demo version....I played this track so many times and never knew that we could warp like that...
@@danielrock04 There was a demo version? Had no idea. That’s awesome! To be honest the full game is still fun to play today. Could give that a chance if you want. 😁
This is incredible as always!!!

This so cool!!
@@AntBandit Thank you so much! ❤️
Thanks for noticing the little details!
The red bricks should be TNT. Maybe the shortcut breaks apart because it's barrels have powder ready to explode.
@@Adri9570 Would have been really cool!
The only thing missing is the flames under the car when a cannonball hits them
@@GN77340 Yes true! If I were to make a new video like this, then I’ll add that feature. 😁
@@StudframeAnimations oh please do the bat lord
@@GN77340 I’ll keep it in mind. I might just turn it into a series where I cover all the circuits. But not sure yet. 😜
Amazing! I wish I could play this! I’ve played the original racers but the poor steering is a killer😂
The nostalgia is crazy, like everyone said the warp animation was crazy. What was this rendered in?
@@Technostatic Hahha thank you! It was rendered in Octane. 😁
Damn we are old now. Awesome work mate!
