    Hey Penny! Thanks for the video!
    I just purchased this machine, took it apart to clean it before use. Now I'm confused 😕
    I am hoping you can help me identify a little circle piece that looks similar to a y? It has a hole on one side but is much smaller than the other extrusion pieces. I cannot find it in the manual and am a little scared to use it now until I find out what this piece is for.

      That part goes into the lasagna sheet maker

      Sorry to respond you so late. The little 8 circle with the Y look at the back is for you to insert to the large 8 circle mold so that you can make rigatoni. Hope this can help you!

    I might get this one because it is the cheapest but did you ever use a manual one not a electric pasta extruder?

    Very interesting, did you ever use whole wheat, or buckwheat flour?

    • @pennywu2984
      @pennywu2984  3 года назад

      Hi, I just use all purpose flour. I guess you can try to use other types of flour, maybe need to adjust the liquid depending on the flour itself.

    I like your video. Thanks. 😍 May I ask if it is easy to clean and dishwasher safe?

    • @pennywu2984
      @pennywu2984  3 года назад

      Yes it easy to clean, I usually let the remaining dry, pick out and brush it with the tool/brush that come with the machine and wash it manually. On the manual instructions said”Let the parts soak in hot soapy water with dish detergent for a couple of minutes. Wash after each cycle. Hand wash only. DO NOT place in the dishwasher.”

    Is there a certain texture that the flour has to be ? How did you mixed it before putting it into the machine?

    • @pennywu2984
      @pennywu2984  3 года назад +1

      No, the manual will tell you to use all purpose flour 400g, or 2 full cups that it come with the machine. Just add the flour in turn it on and slowly add in the water and egg mixture on the top opening. Let it mix together about 3 minutes then the pasta will be ready to be extracted.

    I have used the noodle machine to make noodle. When cook it, the noodle is too easy to break up into smaller pieces compare with the commercial fresh noodle and is soft and not much chewy. Do you have any tip to make it more tender?

    • @pennywu2984
      @pennywu2984  3 года назад

      I Guess you cook it too long. Depending on the type of noodles I cook it 3-5 minutes. You can taste the texture after 3 minutes, if hard can cook a minute then taste it... continue......Don’t over cook it. For a more chewy texture try to Rinse it in cold water or ice cold water. Hope this is helpful for you!

    I have this machine, I tried making macaroni and i didn't liked the taste. Its too thick, also making dumplings super inefficient, you kind of making lasagna pasta and from this pieces of dough you can cut out dumplings, again it's too thick, also that lasagna sheets too dry, so i prefer to make dough with machine and use manual pasta machine to deal with it. It's good for dough making, but for pasta all purpose flour is not so good, it has to be better floor as I can guess, cause I just don't like the taste of it
