Fun Fact: Volcanoes have a major impact on climate. For example, the massive eruption of Mt. Pinatubo (Phillipines) in the 90s was attributed to a GLOBAL temperature drop of about a full degree in the following years. The millions of tons of ash in the atmosphere blocked solar rays.

I'm watching this because where I live that is in Indonesia (Jogja, Java), it is pretty frequent to have vulcano eruption. We live in same region with Mount Merapi, one of to be said most active volcano in our country. Back then in 2010, Mt. Merapi was erupted and made big catasthrope for its surrounding. We might be somewhat far from there but we still get the effect. After years, there was rainbow after that. The land become more soiled and we got abundant of high quality materials. The description of how volcanoes form in this video requires a mantle and possibly outer core heat plume and applies only to a very few specific volcanic sites. One of them is in the Pacific, and is responsible for creating and maintaining the Hawaiian island chain. Another is under the Yellowstone region and is the source of the Yellowstone supervolcano. In nearly all other volcanoes what REALLY happens is that water-saturated crust material from under the ocean gets pushed down into the upper mantle as the tectonic plates shift. The water in this material lowers its melting point below the temperature of the mantle material surrounding it, so it melts as the mantle heats it. This material also expands as it heats and melts, creating pressure that slowly cracks its way through the mantle above it, helping it create, push through and widen fissures and reservoirs in the mantle and crust until it reaches the surface.

We have an almost perfect cone-shaped island near our province where I live in Philippines, it has a resort and few residences and I really really think it's a sleeping Volcano, sleeping volcanoes are one the most dangerous types of Volcano, most of the time, people have no Idea that one is a volcano until suddenly it erupts, just like Mt. Pinatubo.
Edit: Just found out, it really is a Volcano, a potentially active one but since no history record can be found, they classified it as POTENTIALLY ACTIVE since it's not extinc. Wew...
