He is perfect!
Classic icons never forgotten but truly missed in television and comedy
A blast from the past !! So sad all our great entertainers are gone now. But it sure was a privilege to have them in our time. No one now a days can come close to them. Thank you for the memories ❤
Rich Little's still here.
Hello

These are my kind of shows I'm 17 now they are the best springboks of many memories when I was in a small child
I mean 70
Foster Brooks stole the show. Such brilliant comedy! When he called her Luce (loose) and that's what the football team used to call her, I just about died laughing!
And Lassie! 😂
And she really laughed her heart out at his jokes, Foster Brooks RIP
Yes that was my favorite line from foster Brooks "how bout u luce" that's what the football team use to call her"!! That was so funny! I still got the hots for u cherry head. 😂😂😂

He always does
They don't have great stars like this any longer, and Lucy was definitely the queen of comedy. I enjoyed this very much!
I did too. I like these oldies much better than the ones of today.
Totally agree
Should put these reruns on TV teach our kids today what funny really is
So many gone icons in one place. I’m so glad she got all the recognition & accolades when she was alive. All well deserved. She’ll always be loved. ❤️
She made a lot of people very rich.
👋👋👋👋
Lucille Ball was always my favorite comedienne from the time I was a little girl till now. My grandmother was also a big fan and every night we bothwould sit on the couch and watch all the episodes together. I was blown away when she passed away during heart surgery in the late 1980s I loved her very much and there is no one that could ever take this funny lady's place ,she will always be sadly missed.

Just beautiful.
The absolute loving look Lucy gives Bob Hope at the end of his bit was beautiful.

Lucy and Bob Hope were the best of friends and also neighbors.
Bob hope wasn't there live. He did a reshoot and they added him to the broadcast. They did that a lot due to scheduling conflicts.

I was born in 74 so I wouldn't of been able to watch these roasts but I do remember my parents watching them as I got older. I love seeing all these legends on stage. What an amazing time to be alive with the likes of Dean Martin Don Rickles, Lucy , Nipsy, Franks and the whole lot of them. Best comedy ever.

She was absolutely beautiful and an absolute brilliant comedic actress, plus a fantastic businesswoman who thankfully gave us hundreds of hours of joyful entertainment. Was she funny? Yes! And no. Watch her interviews with Cavett or Carson. She’s not “off the cuff” funny. She isn’t quick with a funny line or an entertaining storyteller. She was indeed a great actress. So great in fact, that after 4(?) sitcoms, we tend to think of her as The Queen of Comedy. She deserves every accolade for ILL, and the development of television as we know it, and for all the great business decisions made at Desilu. But she isn’t a “funny” woman. She used perfect timing with splendid physical comic ability and fantastic facial expressions to give us hours and hours of laughs and “perfect” television, no doubt, but she was not a “funny” person. She was a great Actress. Mr Gordon was correct, Viv and Carol truly were, as comediennes, funnier than our beloved Lucy. I don’t intend this as a negative slam on Ms Ball. She was, and is, the greatest. But that’s acting ability, not exactly the same as comic ability. After that diatribe- I do in fact Love Lucy
Despite the humour and jokes, you can see so much respect, admiration, for each other .💞💕

these great stars made you laugh without vulgar or cuss words. nothing will ever compare.
I think they were generous and kind people. But they still had sexual comments constantly laced throughout their talks. Could they have done more to stop the immoral landslide of entertainment? They may have held it back some, but they also contributed to it. They were entertainment world influencers. How did they influence the direction of immorality/morality? .

Gale Gordon and Lucy knew each other from radio days in the late 1940's, he was her husband's boss in "My Favorite Husband"

I was waiting for Henry Fonda turn, I didn’t know what to expect!. Surprisingly he did great too!
This was a great show!
I felt the same wondering how Henry Fonda would do- never saw him funny but he did well - great in fact
I think Henry Fonda and Lucy were friends when they were both in NYC renting apts. Henry shared with Jimmy Stewart and Lucy shared with Ginger Rogers. Then Henry and Lucy were in "The Big Street" together in the 1940's (Lucy said it was her favorite movie she ever made); and they worked together again in 1968 in Ÿours, Mine, and Ours". The movie was really good that they were great together. When Henry won the Lifetime Achievement Award, Lucy was one of the speakers, mentioning the two films they were in - She said, Hank, so many years have passed and the children in the movie have had their own children - we can make another movie together: Ÿours, Mine, Ours, and Theirs". Actually I loved them in that movie together - really had great chemistry. Later, I read that they were having an affair during that film in the late 1940's. Before that I had heard that Desi kept showing up on the set so often, he was banned. Now, I see why he was showing up. Since he was constantly unfaithful himself thought he was showing up cause he was projecting his behavior onto his wife. However, Jane Fonda at one time on a talk show said that her father really loved Lucille Ball. Nice to hear but they would have made terrible marital partners.
One of the few good things about being an old baby boomer. (class of '64). Remember seeing all of those people during the height of their careers....man those were the days.

As a child growing up in a home with very strict parents who are old fashioned and a bit puritanical I used to get picked on an elementary school a lot bullied a lot and I had no one to turn to as my mom was not the type to go and confront the school so I would run home and watch Lucy and all the fear and the troubles that I had and anxiety just melted away this is why I still Love Lucy so this very very day and at the end of that show I felt better and I was ready to go back to school and get bullied again and come home and Lucy was my saving Grace thank you this is why I truly love Lucy
a time of future and positivity ... manners and class
I love this show this is when people could laugh at jokes because they knew they were jokes
Thank you for the good old days. I wish they were back don’t you?❤🌹👍😇🙏🏻🥰🌻
