Everyone had some great roasts but Alan’s “on our honeymoon she rolled over and played dead” was the best! That “no you didn’t!” look on Bettys face was priceless. God rest your soul, Betty White. Reunited with Alan but forever in our hearts. ❤️
She was iconic for that!! It's hilarious betty took the most offense at the joke about her wedding night and playing dead 45:20 she's like mother freaker you ain't about to lie that big on TV or it could have been he was thr reason they didn't get it on bc that's not the expression of someone that didn't do there part

This brings back so many great memories. I truly miss this era of television 📺 and comedy greats that would get together for these Roasts. Never could you get to see so many great individuals under one roof at the same table. You knew you were in for a great night when Dean Martin was on top of his GAME and FOSTER BROOKS as well. I watched these Roasts especially because of them. The Golden age of television was a special time and we will never see such great comedy like we had in the 60's & 70's.. these were special times and something today's generation will never get to experience. I enjoyed this film 🎥 very much. Well done ✌🏽
The friendly vibe. You can see it. You can feel it. You can almost taste it. I could watch these roasts non stop for hours. Just an avalanche of real talent.
@David Yeah bro .. that is a true statement. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Plus back then these great 🎭PERFORMERS🎭didn't need to use Vulgar profanity to get an audience engaged and laughing hysterically.

I'm already LMAO and I haven't even gotten through the opening intros. My YT closed captioning text for "Milton Berle" reads "Milton girl"😂😂😂😂 I'm not absolutely certain but I'm pretty sure my first memory of ever seeing a man in "drag" was "Uncle Miltie"😂😂😂which is why the closed captioning fail is so funny I had to pause and post this comment
I haven't even thought about Red Buttons since I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult, I can know how much of a pro he was. He totally killed with his time.
I love Georgia Engel so much. I'm binging things with her right now. She was so funny. She just made you go "gosh, she's so sweet!" Then she'd say something, "...I had to have misheard that." But you didn't! 😂😂😂
This was absolutely top notch - everyone was sooo good. I couldn't believe how incredibly good Foster Brooks was - probably the best I have ever seen and LaWanda Page never, ever disappoints! Loved her! Don't get me started on Dan Haggerty - a longtime schoolgirl crush for me!
Dean Martin always sounded drunk. Even when he probably wasn’t, he sounded like he had a hard day’s night. I used to think he had reading issues but now that I’m older, I see that he probably couldn’t even see the cue screen because he was blind drunk 😂
in reality, he didn't drink. He always wanted to be at the top of his game and would not drink during the day. He and Brooks were known for their acting drunk, and they would set each other off on stage. He did not like long rehearsals for his weekly show in part because he wanted to make it to dinner with his family every night. He then relied on adlibs and slip ups during the taping of each episode.
Everybody was classy, had a great smile, great sense of humor, talent to roast the living daylight out of everyone. We really should learn from this today
I remember that I used to watch these religiously even though I was much too young to understand like 90% of what they said or even who these people were. I guess I knew it was comedy and people were laughing, so I enjoyed it.
