Yes sir! It will… and I’ll fire it up right here on that day. I’ll be doing it from my new room that is getting built, that is dedicated to my sons and my collecting issues/passion. It’s a “safe-place” for all things unnecessary 😬. I’m predicting 2 “6’s” and 4 “7’s” in regards to my Luke’s. I feel that conservative enough… and I can hopefully put my expectations there, and then be happy if I get that or better of course. But looking at them over and over…. I tend to see more and more little flaws. Maybe I’m looking at them too close though 🤷🏻♂️. “I’ll be happy with whatever” is my mantra 👍🏻

Wow! You saw, you conquered, you ACTUALLY did it! Great stuff, E-dubb! Enjoyed living vicariously through you. Love the Revenge of the Nerds "We've GOT...." reference! Side note: I just got a PSA sub back for 1980 ESB and the grades seemed pretty harsh. Similar to your series 5 sub. Not sure how many graders do vintage Star Wars over there, but feels like if it gets on one guy's desk it will be reasonable but if it lands on the other guy's desk, you're in for some heartache. People may disagree, but feels that way to me. I might suggest breaking this group of cards into 2 or 3 submissions (and split up the Lukes) so you don't get stuck with one grader who seems too harsh. Better to spread them across multiple graders, I think. Still ship 'em all in one package, but make separate submissions/orders. Good luck! Keep makin' videos and I'll keep watching!!!

It’s hard to not feel that the grader given to a job, has too much to do with the results. It’s too bad though… that I did not do what you have stated here. I sent them already. As I’m sure you picked up… I’ve been done opening the box for a week-ish… so I sent in the Lukes in one batch (75$/ea) and the rest all in one other batch (bulk). So I’ll be subject to this scenario that we speak of. I’ll just be sitting here for a few months with my fingers crossed I guess 🫤. Thanks so much for all you support Ryan!

I really don't think you could of asked for a better box. None of the Luke #1 were on the wax and of coarse the stickers absorbed the gum damage. If the stickers were in the middle you would have one to maybe two gum damaged cards in each pack. The gum tends to bleed through two cards if the stickers were in the middle of the packs. Thanks again for sharing this opening. Might as well crack the other box, lol
My thoughts and sentiments exactly… right now, I’m definitely happy. Any issues with the Luke’s (or pretty much any of the other base cards) are printing related. They didn’t come from gum, storage, or box damage/mishandling. so that's all I can ask for. Plus, I got a solid assortment of cards I think. As far as the other box, I can promise you that i'll wait at least a month before I dig into it. 😬

A great journey of history. One addition is look at the bottom left with stars. 1 or 2 stars. Means the side of the sheet they were on. This collation is different. Do you think you got a 10 with any of them.

But I definitely feel like I got quite a few strong candidates…. but as you have seen by many of my returns… hopes and results rarely match. I’m hoping for a complete set of Series 1 with an average of 8. This would give me a great starting place for my journey towards one day having a complete set of 9’s possibly. #onedaymaybe

As far as the next Box to break… I’m not totally sure… or when. I have a slew of PSA returns coming in… and a Box of Series 5 that I’m itching to tear into due to my poor return… but as far as other ideas… let me know if you have any 👍🏻
@@e-dubrippinstuff9820 E, I think you taking another stab at Series 5 would make for some interesting videos. The key to getting higher grades will be to ensure the Series 5 cards you submit are very well-centered. So using your “centering” card device you bought will come in handy. Those 5th series orange-borders are the thinnest of all the series borders. I’d like to see you get some higher 5th series grades for your growing collection and you’ll need some to achieve your goal of getting a close to PSA8-9 full collection of 330 cards. Plus, it’ll be fun to see you crack into another Series 5 box. My suggestion is to do that video and put it “on deck” after your Series 2 PSA Reveal video which is next.
Just wanted to add...Thanks for not screaming, acting like a 4yr old jumping up and down, dancing around, high 5'n the cat, and playing stupid sound effects whenever you hit a banger. Oh...One more thing, when i first started watching your Vintage SW card openings a month or so ago, you seemed pretty keen to learn as you went along. Well i think we all learned a few things from your research. Now do me a favor will ya? Next box you open, try not to take all the packs out, and restack them a couple times, before you begin to open them. lol. This past video was great. I could tell exactly what position each pack was in the box, as i marked down the #'s, of every card, in every pack. (...as I tried to do in your other videos) Hopefully now, one day when I get to a card show, I can buy a few packs...and try my luck. ; ) The list you held up at the end was pretty cool to see how many of each card you got as well thanks. Anyways...looking forward to seeing you rip open another Series 1 soon....It will help with my studies. LOL. Good luck at the graders!

I've opened a few 1977 Star Wars packs recently and noticed a lot of fraying on the edges. Has anyone seen this with their vintage Star Wars cards and how have you cleaned them up? Also, for those unfortunate top cards, how do you safely clean off the wax buildup on the top card?
The fuzzy edges are a pain but the wax on the front surface of a card is pretty easy to remove: I blow a few hot breaths on it and then remove with gentle circular motions using a clean paper towel or microfiber cloth(some use a nylon/pantyhose)... Important techniques are to have the card on a firm, flat surface and to not catch the corners and edges of the card with the cloth or paper towel... There are a bunch of youtube videos showing the technique... was stains on the backs of vintage cards are usually permanent though... Fun times! Thanks for letting us watch over your shoulder!
As for the fraying on some of these Vintage SW Series 1-5 cards, PSA May deduct one grade for that, and I’ve seen it where they don’t count it as a defect, but that’s on older PSA slabs. No way to clean up the lingering card fraying on edges. I wouldn’t send any in with fraying. As for cleaning off wax, best to use a pantyhose and lightly go in circular motion. The pantyhose is less abrasive of a surface than a microfiber towel or paper towel and won’t leave circular scratches if you only apply light pressure. Good luck
