The bladder is used to push out the bigger portion of the dent. The heating/cooling of the outer edge of the dent helps to relax/expand the metal to help the dent pop out more easily. I'm sure there will be some instances where heating/cooling the area will be sufficient to pop the dent out. This particular dent was quite large and using the bladder really made it easy.
I have a very small soft dent , should i empty the tank prior to this? if not use the compressed air, should i keep the tank open or closed so it breathes? Thank you .
A high pressure washer works excellent.. Make a rubber plug that fits the gas tank opening and a piece of tubing that goes through the plug. The pipe has to have a fitting that you can screw on the high pressure hose. Just be careful so you don´t make a ball of your tank.. ;)
