    That is freakin sweet. I got my first Ti-Lite this week. It has detent lash to where the tip can wander almost out of the liners. I’m looking around at some RUclips to see if anyone else has had that issue with the Ti-Lites. Thanks for the video 😌

    I dig the blade shape. Though I tend to shy away from the expensive steels when choosing a "tactical" blade. Mostly b/c IF (God forbid) one has to use it the police will take it & you'll prob never see it again. I know b/c I have lost one that way when I was attacked. Got myself some stab wounds, some cuts but im still here b/c my training & that $40 knife saved my butt.

      I carry a self defense blade too, but I have found that police grade pepper spray works far better for self defense. The main reason I carry a blade is to cut through a seat belt in case the belts lock up during a bad car accident.

      Mine came with slight side to side play. Tightening the pivot screw just a tad took care of it, though it also made the blade more difficult to deploy and close. I really wish that this knife came with some bronze pivot washers as opposed to nylon. What you really don't want is the play along the pivot axis. That's called "lock rock" and indicates bad lockup geometry. Though sometimes, that will go away as the knife breaks in as you open and close it a bunch of times.

    I just got this knife for under $100 (Cold Steel site sale + coupon). It's an impressive chunk of S35VN, with the blade looking like a really mean balisong one. However, I'm a bit disappointed. The knife same with some side to side blade play and by the time I eliminated it completely (by tightening the pivot screw), it became a lot more difficult to open and close. Also, the washers feel like simple nylon. They really should've upgraded them to phosphor bronze on this sig model. That's not my bigger issue with this knife though. I like to weak hand (left) carry "tactical blades". This knife doesn't have a lefty clip mounting position. Ideally, it should be like Benchmade SOCP Folder - left/right tip up/down carry positions. Also, it's kind of a bitch to open reliably one-handed. Both the thumb stud and the "front flipper" really dig into my thumbs. It blows my mind that they didn't just stick a SOCP Folder style thumb disk of this thing, which would have mostly eliminated the need for that scale cutout and made thumb deployment ambidextrous. I'd love to be able to carry thing thing as my weak side backup "defense tool" but it's just not practical enough, relegating it to a curiosity blade for me. If someone has so tips on how I could make it work for this role, please share.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'm glad you got it for such a good price! Sorry to hear it was not suitable for the carrying though. I'm sure you will find one of their other large sized folders for that. I sometimes carry Espada L or LX.

    • @Prizrak-hv6qk
      @Prizrak-hv6qk 8 месяцев назад

      @@WeAllJuggleKnives I have a Mayhem, which I can actually carry without too much trouble. It's probably the largest folder ever than can still comfortably fit into a jeans front pocket. I also have a Counter Point 4 which I like quite a bit and thinking about getting the big one as well. I'm still thinking of ways to to make the Ti Lite Sig work for me though. It seems to have a rather strong detent holding the blade, so it might not be too unsafe to carry in the left pocket with the blade towards the front (and my junk :) ). I also discovered that when when I take it out of the pocket like that, I can then give it a good shake towards the ground and whip the blade out in the reverse/tactical grip. I am also getting better at verse flicking it open with my left hand and am considering just carrying it blade towards the back inside a leather pocket slip held in place by an UltiClip. It's still annoying that they didn't simply provide a lefty clip mounting position and a thumb disk opener, especially considering that the vast majority of their other knives are ambidextrous!

    Not recommended for lilliputians. Come to think of it, few of Lynn’s knives are meant for the lollipop guild.
    There not XL, they’re normal sized knives. Others are for pairing.
