That was glorious…and manual too! Those are quite rare…most were automatic. Sounded beautiful. Brings back memories of mine….loved it as you wound that big XK engine up through each gear…and loved how polished that all was…used to spend a lot of time keeping my engine like that too…
Had a 420g for a while. if you follow one, they look like a ducks bum from the back. i think jag experienced with the daimler 4.5 V8 & it performed brilliantly.
This is a stunning looking machine !! I seriously thought about buying a 420G a few years ago. However, amongst other issues, it was just a fraction too long for the garage. We ended up with an XJ6 though, which is sort of like a miniture MarkX/420G. 😉 To be honest, the sedan range of Jaguars interests me more than the sports cars.

There will never be an affection for old electric cars - efficient, but characterless......unlike this Jaguar!
