@@josephsaldana4868 The Marvel "brand" has not been around since 1939. That did start in 1961. The company was called Timely and Atlas prior. But the entity that we call the Marvel Comics Universe started with Fantastic Four #1 in 1961. That is what everyone was celebrating the 25th anniversary of in 1986. Almost everything hey published before that (except motably Captain America and Sub Mariner) was same company, different name, and also being its own identity, not part of that shared universe that started in 1961.. Hope this clears things up.
@@josephsaldana4868Prior to 1961, the publishing company was called Timely, and then Atlas. It eventually settled on the brand name "Marvel" in 1961 with Fantastic Four#1. So before that, it was same company different name and no shared universe aspects between books and characters. Some recognizable MU characters were around in early forms, such as Captain America, Namor, and Rawhide Kid. But not many. Also, they were each standalone books; no crossover or continuity between them. The Marvel Universe as we know it (all the characters co-existing in a single continuity) as well as 99% of the notable characters started during the fertile Lee/Kirby/Ditko period of the 60s. Hope this clears things up.
@@zemxxi2765 while all that is true, it’s all under the same moniker, which is now Marvel. Therefore all of it is considered Marvel. Hope this clears things up.
