Congratulations Sandy. Sometimes the best journeys in life are those that are not planned. Events happened the stars were were aligned and the Jacklore was born. Your comments about refinement and perfection are so true..... I appreciate the way you do things: honesty, integrity, courage and thankfulness. It has been wonderful to meet you via RUclips before starting the journey and smiling with you along the way. Brilliant. Thanks for the shoutout! Wow. Awesome White Knight! WOW

Congratulations on your first year Sandy - your knives are just amazing, and beautiful to the eye. (someday I will know how beautiful they are to hold and use). The white and light knives were very nice, but I favor that dark wood. I really enjoy the satin blade with the mirrored grinds, very appealing. Good luck on the 2nd year, we all can't wait to see your next creations.

Thanks for the video Jack. I really enjoyed you sharing your personal story about becoming a knife maker. I started making knives a few years back and my job sort of pulled me away from it, time issues. you inspire me to get back after it. I still have all my tools and I think I will dust them off now thanks to your inspiration.

Happy Anniversary Sandy! Well done! You are an extraordinary craftsman. I Had my knife now for the whole summer season, basically beating the snot out of it during all the courses I give and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It absolutely fits all the tasks I set it. I am not the type of guy who manages to keep knifes looking good and I sometimes feel guilty about that but use gave it a lot of character and I love it. Many more years to go my friend!

I am very new to the bushcraft scene and aim to learn as much as possible from others and since I first watched one of your videos Sandy I was hooked. You have gained a huge amount of respect from me even though we have never met. To me you seem to be a well natured and respectful person. I may not be the best judge of character but I believe in everything I see from your videos. I hope one day in meeting you and learning in person of your bushcraft skills and more. Enough creeping now lol. Since seeing 'Johnny Bushcraft' using a Jacklore Knife I always wondered who made them...Now I know. I will be honoured to one day owning my own set of Jacklore Knives and await patiently for the ordering process to restart again. Keep up the superb quality work you do. Catch you soon.

Sandy I watch this video once every year, you haven't changed a bit, still such a nice guy and amazing craftsman, watching your wiltshire man channel grow has been an absolute pleasure to watch over the years. This week such sad tragic news has hit the knife/bushcraft community as you will be aware of. Peter,
This is just how it should be. The knife was built to be used and taken into the beautiful places. Most of my knives are being used, but unfortunately a few have been placed in boxes and drawers of collectors and may never see the light of day. It doesn't matter that the knife gets a patina and shows signs of use. This is all good.
Maybe in the new year I il try and get a course booked at Varavild.

    Sandy,
Finally getting settled in our home in Texas. We had to do considerable remodeling and it’s taken up more time that initially thought.
However, the shop and ham shack are not far from being completed. I’ve been using CW during the time without formal shack using mostly QRP equipment. Still having fun pounding out code.
    Take care,

I have suffered a number of accidents, including shattered drill bit in my eye, I still have my my but no lens to vision in blurry, smashed my leg and have 11 screws, 4 metal plates., still walk but have to be careful , and survived a blood cancer, which I didn’t even know I had. Like you I keep moving forward and always find the positive in life. When I get a bit down my wife makes sure she snaps my out of it. Anyway I have a lot of you vidieos to catch up on. Sandy first congratulations and best wishes for you continued success. I have one of your earlier knives and you have always been know for your attention to detail, your heat treat and edge retention. How would I go about ordering a knife as I think one of your new knives should be sitting along side my knives by Alan woods Ben Orford Simon from Raven Armoury. I love my early jacklore and it's pleasing to see how far you have come to becoming a legendary knife maker. Your reputation precedes your blades. Look forward to hearing from you and once again congratulations. Sincerely Roland

      Hi Roland,
I just want to get the order book reduced then I will take a few more orders. I am only building around 3 knives per week here. The early knives are a world away from the standards I have now reached, but like all things in life you are never going to produce your best work from the get go. built around 230 knives to date and learned a lot along the way
I will be at the UK knife show in June and will have some pieces there.

Sandy , something that seems to be lost on some of your waiting customers is the following.
You seem to be improving on your craft at such a rate that those people that are on the latter end of your waiting list ( myself included ) are missing the point.
The longer a person waits ( within reason ! ) the better their knife will be made for them.
