@vinny_29 I was 12 years old 1997 and did not follow TT closely back then. I do remember the Waldner Fever at the time. Him and Persson are two of my all-time favorites.
he has such confidence on both wings it's equivalent to Fan Zhendong. he needs to find a way to not get injured too often. and he'll be a monster. Felix needs to get a bit more muscle mass. and he'll be good to have a great career. both are incredible players.
He's been in great form and confidence. He gave the win for his club in Pro A by defeating Aruna where losing would have meant the club losing. Won both his matches whereas Félix lost 3:2 to Aruna
In this championship Alexis Lebrun was like a wall. And many of his shots were beyond the reach of the rivals. Excellent footwork and condition. He really deserved to win this event.
@@frsfthg9212 well no personally i always said it, way before. Now what I'll say as well is that many players don't fulfill their potential (kyrgios at Tennis). For now, Felix seems for stable but I just feel that Alexis' game at 100% has a higher ceiling. But the next tournament might be super disappointing from alexis, I believe more in felix consistency tho
You become a great player by elevating your average game, the one you'll play most of the time (your 65-75%). Being at 100% is great but rare, for anyone.
Thanks for the video. Just as a feedback to the video creators: the graphics in between points are very white/bright. The shift from a mostly dark/black background of the arena/arena floor to the very bright graphic actually hurt my eyes. I'd recommend using a darker color on the graphics in the future.
He said that everything he tried when training and failling to implement to his game just began to work here the more he played. He wasn't sure of his level when he entered the competition.
Wait... He played a perfect tournament.... This time.... The next one, his psyche could become a problem again. Nobody knows, but so far there has been a low after every high. I know it's unpopular to write this, but the truth
In the world team championship, he had an other match against FZD and was leading 2-1, 10-9. So it isn't just chance. You can't be serious by saying he won only because of the edge ball
@@RavelOndine24 I am all for European or non-Chinese players beating the Chinese like Truls Moregard of Sweden and Benyamin Feraji of Iran defeating the world number 1 Wang Chuquin recently. But generally speaking, the Chinese still dominate table tennis. However, the North Koreans are also coming up. Look at little Kim Kum Yong's win over China's Sun Yingsha and then went on to win the singles title in the Asian Championships. As for Alexis Lebrun, I wish him the best of luck against the Chinese in the future.
@@philippelepage1609 Yes, Noshad Alamiyan of Iran has defeated him twice already. But I do admire LJK because he always fights back even if he is on the verge of losing. I don't recall Alexis beating him.
Alexis dominated this tournament like I have not seen before at this level. Taking the semi and the final game 4:0. Guy was in the zone.
He revenge for his little brother who was defeated by Duda

Impressive performance. Speed, power, tactic, fight spirit. Very, very spectacular
Our european Fan Zhendong- ultra agressiv, body stability, godlike placement and footwork
I agree:) However Chinese have also Lin Shindong, new superstar, future no 1, I think.

Those shots are brutal

Really impressive Alexis Lebrun. Let’s hope he keeps playing at this level for the whole year

Alexis was on fire..The confidence was superb =)
For me he is the best of the two brothers if 100%.
I always thought that too. He has enormous potential and this weekend he proved it.
Yess the best potential for sure. I mean he's so powerful, quick and unpredictable. Really special.

Felix won olympic bronze btw
Not that i disagree with u but still

Olah has a non conventional style. And his backhand Can be lethal.
