Alexis played technically brilliant. The first set was a set of learning. Then he applied what he learned. His main asset is his power, and he managed to use it well. He also understood he has to shorten the points to stand a chance, and he managed to do it. Exciting match.
Ιnteresting to compare Qiu with the other Lebrun. Alexis has an advantage here because he is used to playing his brother Felix, who is a better penholder than Qiu. Qiu is more a conventional penholder. Felix is something special.
If you want to beat Lebrun, you definitely need to be faster than him. Qiu managed this somewhat in the first two sets, but as soon as he started slowing down, Alexis took control
Well, what are you gonna expect from dang qiu. In one tournament he's one fire and plays like a top 5 player and then in another he plays like a barely top 30 player...
Yeah its like felix going rumble against all players in the World but then loses to the most random chinese player. Maybe now alexis can be european chamoion. 🎉
@@RoamuopiaFelix is only 18 the average German player before the age of 25 can't make three shots in a row . That's why a guy like Franziska is considered an up and coming player at the age of 32...
@@AntAng-i1d And the average chinese youngster plays on the level of fan zhendong and ma long when they're just 16. Europeans have the advantage of having less competition, that's why they are higher in ranking and win against asian players most of the time (I mean more unknown ones obviously), however they are not really better in terms of technique. And felix doesn't have any potential left to grow with his current style. You can already see it with his results. He's peaked. Sure, he's only 18, but he's already been in the top 10 I think a year ago, he's lost his nr.5 position, and instead of making progress he became weaker.
Dang's style is too risky, too extreme. You can't kill every ball off the bounce, and Lebrun is smart to exploit Dang's BH with high, long and spinny loops. He deliberately made the arc higher to give Dang some devious balls, easy if played at the top point, but difficult when ripped off the bounce. A guy like Hugo would have these loops punished, but it's Dang Qiu who never steps back to mid-court. The end of 4th game fell into Alexis' hands just due to this trick. Magic? Tactics.
Wtf wrong with you? 😅 If all of his serves are illegal in your opinion, maybe you would need another sport… if anyone serves illegal, that are the Lebrun Brothers.
The change in Alexis attitude is so obvious. Really happy to see him in this mindset. Keep up
He's on fire.
Gros match, beau combat. Bravo Alex'!
Thanks god, we back to the best angle.
Unfortunately no… not for the main world tournament, with the WTT…
this is not WTT.
The angle where you never see the ball.
yes!!! from the side is dogshit. but its the OG angle and at least the best
Slightly better at best. Better angle would be between side and front.

Brothers are interesting
these annoying kids are just disgusting. They play really well but have a big problem with their psych, even when they lose a game.
bravo alexis quel mental.

6:11 That was so risky, please Alexis don't get hurt 😞
6:24 is possibly the best 2nd and 4th ball ive ever seen
Well, Alexis was on a mission after the defeat of his brother, and when he plays like that, he's a top 10.

almost every single serve from Qiu was illegal this is getting ridiculous.
It sure looks like it, but I'd want a camera angle well off to the left to be certain, and a little lower.
Wtf wrong with you? 😅 If all of his serves are illegal in your opinion, maybe you would need another sport… if anyone serves illegal, that are the Lebrun Brothers.
you cant be serious 😂😂look at the lebruns brothers serves they start throwing almost at forehand side and end on the far backhand side
both serve illegal
Qui is clearly hiding the ball and Lebrun is throwing the ball backwards.
It's ridiculus. This must be fixed.
Almost no pros at the highest level has a legal serve. Especially those who do the “hook/shovel” serve.
