0:10 I think the Egg Lay stored the knockback of Ganon's n-air, so the egg went flying when the move is over.
0:28 ZSS's forward smash, in this case, didn't link correctly to eachother. Pichu entered it's landing animation after the first hit, which shrunk it's hitbox to make the second hit whiff.
0:50 Pac-Man's grab put Greninja inside the hydrant, and I think he pummeled to launch the hydrant, hitting Greninja.
1:25 Inkling threw out an aerial (most likely back air), which extended her hitbox into TLink's up air.
1:42 After the Gordo first hit Falcon and made the special effect, the Gordo hit him a second time. I think the second hit occurred through either jank Gordo hitboxes or the slant of Yoshi's Island.
1:58 Link's and Mii Swordfighter's up Bs have really jank hitboxes that send you in different directions, with strangely high knockback for linking hitboxes. I also think Bayo charging her smash attack also increased the knockback of the up B.
2:14 6:46 Smashville slant shenanigans have returned from SSB4 it seems.
2:29 DK hit Dedede with a back air. That part is easy. The weird part is the weird knockback DK received. Judging from the comment section, Dedede has a really weak Ryu dair-esque spike hitbox on his forward smash.
3:03 Pokemon Stadium has awkward ledges for recoveries like Olimar's. Not sure if Myran didn't get close enough to the ledge or not, but that is the only explanation I got.

7:44 Palu's up smash has a lot of active frames, and Ike got caught by it as he was under the corner of the ledge.
8:25 The purple pikmin extended the hitbox duration of Mac's forward smash, and Zephyr got caught in it.
8:51 Snake's forward smash is wicked powerful. Not sure if Sonic did anything to extend his hurtbox, or he got hit by pure large hitboxes. Since Sonic seems to be in the middle of his roll animation endlag, I am leaning towards the latter.
9:11 Daisy/Peach's up B has a rather high base knockback, which is how ROB got stage spiked to death instantly. It is the main reason why up B rage jank existed for her in SSB4. Daisy, in the other hand, got hit by a single hit of ROB's side B, which gimped her.

Something might've triggered when Squirtle was charging Water Gun, but Ganon used Flame Choke while he was doing it
Wow and I thought I had a fluke when I got a pikachu mid recovery with a ganon choke, but that was ridiculous.
@@razor8304 I think Squirtle actually tried shooting the water gun and got the windbox's momentum on Ganon while already being in range of the command grab's hitbox.

well people are used to little Mac jumping, using ko punch and he lands on the ground as it hits so it counts as grounded ko punch

I wonder if Sakurai himself watches these in his spare time. If he does, do you think he thinks to himself "That's SUPPOSED to happen!" Or does he take notes for the next patch so stuff like this doesn't happen anymore?
I bet most of these are glitches turned feature, like Ganandorf being pushed by water gun making him suicide or Link bouncing off the Villager's water animation. Others are intentional like Little Mac's air KO punch being weaker and so can be countered/shielded cuz most of a punches power is from the legs pushing off the ground.
I'd say like 5% of these types of instances are actually "bugs" that they would consider patch worthy.

That's what i'm thinking. He might tune in to big tournaments like EVO or Genesis, but I doubt he has the time to check every local tournament that happens all across the world.

some of those are far more understandable than others. as one who mains the links, yes, the down air can bounce off strange things. if it has an active hitbox, you can bounce on it, and it operates a little differently when clash canceling. yoshi's egg rocket on the other hand... my best guess to the ganoncide is that squirtle launched his neutral special the frame he was grabbed, pushing the airborne ganondorf with squirtle still trapped in his clutch.

@@LeudieBlues I notice Roy has weird properties like that too. I managed to kill someone who was standing right behind me with an F-Smash. Granted, they were practically grinding on Roy's back, so perhaps it was the startup? But Chrom here didn't even strike within the same continent as Dark Samus.

Samus and Dark Samus have their charge shot actually starting inside them, not in front of them. Which means Chrom countered that initial hitbox. It's still hilariously uncommon though.

6:27 aerial KO punch doesn’t but a grounded one does, you also can’t counter a grounded one but you can to an aerial, it reinforces the idea that Mac is strong on the ground but weak in the air

What he said ^ but put simply Squirtle has watergun as his neutral special. It has a push back property. But he must have shot it as soon as Ganon grab that boii and they both went for a dive
When Squirtle was done charging it's attack it used it at the same time Squirtle got grabbed thus pushing Gannon away while Squirtle got grabbed
Ganondorf demanded the game allowed a Ganoncide at this moment

What I assume happened with the Little Mac KO punch is that, because the move is so much weaker in the air, it doesn't break shields when used like that.

in 6:24 the KO punch does not go through the shield because Little Mac was still in the air. As he needs to be on the ground to shatter shields and evade counters, he does not have the grounds (bad pun TM) to kill Snake via KO punch.

Villager has a wind box on His/Her/Their Down Special Part Two(Happy Watering Can).
It also counts as a entity so he was able to bounce off of they Water.
Usually when wonky hit box stuff happens it's because the person who gets hit extends there hitbox by using an attacking move like mario's back air for example

3:59 I have gotten that sort of thing with Bowser's F-Smash a lot, due to using him in spirit battles. For some reason, it seems the hitback for the back (not the kick) does as much damage and knockback at the front, which it honestly shouldn't do.
Here's an explanation for that little mac clip.
K.O. Punch is only unblockable if initiated on the ground. In the air, it's actually blockable.
