On PC you have access to regional pricing with actual value; different game stores with great deals: humble with very low priced bundles, EGS with free giveaways and 10$ coupons in addition to sale, Gamepass that you can buy for month to play the games you want for price lower than on xbox and with very good regional prices in some places. And talking about PC exclusive experiences: modding, which gives multiple lives to games you already bought (usually for free); very cheap prices for old games most of which work without problems and run in your max resolution and framerate, lots of great indie games which release only on PC. All of this experiences cost less than playing big new AAA games, but might be even more fun. Also on PC big is price of entry. If we talking about buying PC for 1200$, something like 400$ worth of components will go to your next PC even if you completely switching platform. So next upgrade would cost you less. So, in general PC would be at least same value in long term especially if you buy high quality future proof components.
@@bfhandsomeface409 not very many people are actually buying physical games. Over 80% of games sold nowadays are digital. Games can still be found cheaper on PC even if you account for buying and reselling physical games. A game will be $60-$70 and you'll get $20-$25 for that same game.
Very close but I see a problem; Equivelant GPU = equivelant performance BUT equivelant CPU ≠ equivelant performance You've got a heavier OS doing more tasks, not to mention the 3600/x has SEVERLY less bandwidth which general especially RAY TRACING absolutely needs. Ideally you need better infinity cache, nvme 4.0, and to take advantage of ReBar/ SAM. Faster transfer speed from SSD to CPU to RAM back to CPU to VRAM is a negative performance factor on pc that consoles don't have. Ryzen 3000-5000 chips very much DO benefit from having four sticks of RAM in gaming as well by 8-15% in "modern" games, so 4x8 3600 cl 16 or even 18 is fiiine but optional A 5600 non x (undervolt + stock cooler) and a b550 chipset is required. Definitely snag whatever parts you can USED ALSO note that a 4070 is absolutely not needed as pointed out by other comments. Likely cherry picked scenario aka racing game which aren't hard to run. A 7700 xt is fiiine, you've got improved rt over last gen and while taking the other options I had listed above you'll reach the targets, also FSR3.1 is *now* dlss3 (not 3.7) quality and just now getting to be in most games. AFMF2/ Lossless Scaling seems to be decent at 40fps (even better on a 120hz VRR display) -> 60+ fps

If Daniel actually followed what Digital Foundry said then he would go for something 45% faster then the RTX 2070, and thats the 4060Ti 8GB, or AMD 6750XT, but PS5 is RDNA 4 which means way better RT so the best equivalent to the PS5 pro is the 4060Ti 8GB, also using ssd way slower then the PS5 pro defeats the purpose of building a comparable system to see how the price would match, this video is disingenuous at best and maliciously fakw news at worst.

All this upgrade does is allow for a stable 60fps instead of 30fps in quality modes. With a $1000 PC, you have a 2K gaming beast, a workstation, and everything in between. Plus, you can upgrade a PC anytime-you don’t have to wait five years for a new PlayStation to drop. Once games become more demanding, and if the PS6 isn’t out yet, even the PS5 Pro won’t consistently run them at 2K 60fps. I've owned every PlayStation since the PS2 and also use a PC, but there’s no debate. Also, you won’t get true 4K 60fps with ray tracing on high settings. Are you talking about path tracing? Even an RTX 4090 struggles with that. You might get some low-level ray tracing, but not much more.
Being a long time Playstation fan, I finally decided to step into the PC world. I went for rx 6800xt paired with Ryzen 7 5800x with 32 gb of Ram. Total build came just under $900
I think this was really well thought out and presented. That being said it has convinced me that the price tag is more reasonable than I initially thought. Particularly as some one with so many games in their ps library.
Consoles shouldn't be praised for only *just* beating a whole PC in terms of value. The whole point of consoles are supposed to be that they're subsidized and affordable. If PC's can even get near in terms of technical abilities for the same price, then the console is doing something wrong.
@@maynardburger And they do have that in the base PS5. This seems like a test market item that is measuring what the market is for that higher end experience with console simplicity. Since they don't expect a high adoption rate they want to actually make some money on hardware they do sell.

Original PS5 are using 7nm which cost around 9k per wafer. 5nm right now around 18k to 19k per wafer. Next year it will be around 20k because TSMC already confirmed the price increase of 5nm for 2025.
I think the upgradability is a big factor. Yes, buying a whole PC upfront is going to cost, but if you're upgrading you're only buying a GPU and CPU, especially if you're being sensible and going Ryzen. Realistically you only upgrade every 3 - 4 years. Hypothetically, if you already own a PC and want to upgrade to a PS5 Pro equivalent you'll only spend ~$630. If you have to get an AM4 motherboard as well it's ~$714. This is with a 4070 so you'll beat the PS5 Pro.
I think this conversation will be worth revisiting after seeing the RT and upscaling capabilities on some games that are difficult to run at high settings on the PS5 Pro. This is an excellent video. I've been lowkey trying to convince a good friend of mine to build a pc so he can have the freedom of playing games at 60fps+ that consoles sometimes never upgrade. (Talking at you RDR2)
Exactly. So far all we really have of the PS5 Pro is the DigitalFoundry Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth comparison, showing that PSSR can indeed do better than Unreal 4 TAA at least, and a few lesser comparisons that show off that the PS5 Pro can produce more detail with the same input resolutions. We have zero idea right now on how much more it can push in the RT department. This is why I argue that it is very dangerous to low ball people with current AMD GPU's which have lousy RT performance. If someone is going out and buying a PS5 Pro killer blind and immediately, they should get a 4070, on a CPU that is noticeably better than PS5, to ensure the headroom is there.
PS5 owner here who's gonna build a pc relarively soon. You're quite right about most things, although including the cost of the disc drive of the PS5 and not including mouse/kb (and os) on PC is unfair/biased imo. Also, with the PS Plus subscribtion you get 3-4 games every month. Are they all great games? No, most.of them aren't, but I think everyone could find a handful among them that they enjoy.
Well if you're only gonna use the PC for games you don't need a windows license for it to work. A windows license just gives you things like cloud allocation for files or some customization settings. You can also buy legitimate Windows keys for like $10-15 depending on the seller, I bought mine for like $5 7 years ago.
I get more games from Epic etc than I get from PlayStation. With all the f2p games from the stores; the bundles from Fanatical; the giveaways from GoG and others; I've never had so many games to play. It's crazy how fast my library of games grew once I built a PC.

Mint is easily my favorite distro to recommend), but for the very average user, the ones who barely know what a mouse is, it'll be just out of reach. Historically, people who used Linux were more technical, so there are still a few rough edges for the average user that need to be sorted out.
This is a great video really helps people who are on the fence I can add that the ability to mod games and just make them the way you want it to is unmatched by any console
I love my ps5, when the games are properly optimized it’s more than enough but too often they are not. They upscale so aggressively to hit 60fps things look blurry. The difference on my 3080ti rig is incredible, Bought mine used 500$ last year after i bought the ps5. I can’t see myself buying new games for the ps5 so it just sits most of the time now.
Games are absolutely optimized on PS5 as evident by the vast majority of titles that run on 60 fps. The issue is the GPU and it's aging compute capabilities. Especially in Unreal engine 5; the engine is upscaling at too low of a resolution. Even Mark Cerny himself said that developers are requesting more GPU performance as their number one concern during the PS5 Pro presentation.
I agree. This is exactly what the Pro is being brought out for. That forced upscaling and blurriness. I’m really hoping that it does because I prefer console.
You weren't kidding about the upscaling. FF7 Rebirth looks like absolute trash on performance mode, and even then it can't hit 60 fps most times in the open world.
I don't know why people are acting like bang for buck is the primary reason someone would pick a PC or console. It's probably more about how you like to play, where you like to play, where your friends are, what games are specific to each etc. Basically buy whatever you want, buy both, who cares?
its mostly friends and such, morons who love pc are just the ppl who live on discord or reddit and wnat to game, ppl who like consoles again are friends and its cheap... trust me i play on both and some consoles users just want cheap entry to gameing.
Well deciding what is best for you can be a difficult choice. And I definitely think more people accustomed to console gaming should at least give PC gaming some thought, because it really is a fantastic platform for gaming enthusiasts. It still wont be for everybody, but many write it off too quickly and have many misunderstandings about it.
@@aaronclay4665 Yah but they can buy a PS5 instead of a Pro right, does it matter if they don't have the uber version? PC is like that too, for the price of the Pro you'll get a low/mid PC, you can play with your friends all that jazz but you're making the choice to do that rather than dumptruck money on a 7800X3D/4090 rig for example. Ultimately it still shows the bang for buck of the platform is probably a lower consideration. I have been a PC main since the 90s but owned/played all consoles the whole time until XBO/PS3; Switch for Nintendo. I still remember all the venom getting chucked out in the PS3 vs 360 vs PC era, just never got it. They are less different to PC now, but they still serve different audiences and the performance per dollar really shouldn't be a factor if they have the games you want and play them well with your friends. Switch on the other hand, that thing I understand performance focus because it's goddamn dogshit 😂 I actually avoid playing it because the framerate is unbearable.
PC people are unable to live with the idea that a console packs way more power than any PC on the same price range. The mental hoops this guy has to jump through to get into the same budget are amazing.
@@jesusdiaz270 Not all PC people, I'm one of them. My job is literally designing, pricing, marketing custom built gaming PC's and I don't understand the obsession with this comparison nor do I think it's a realistic. From personal experience, people are more likely to buy a better balanced PC than the one in this video, and with the budget of a PS5 Pro it's going to be entry level. With the budget of any other console I wouldn't even sell it as a gaming PC. In Australia the regular PS5 is $679, the minimum GPU I would spec is the RX 6600 and that's $300 by itself, and two models down from what he says in this video is in the PS5 (not pro). It's not even close, and that's OK because it's not an apples to apples comparison to begin with, not should it be a primary focus of a buyer as mentioned in my OP.
I've been building/upgrading PC's since the 90s. I got a 570XT £420, in Jan 2020 (paired with 3950X, 64GB ram) I mostly play 1080 and some 1440. Currently plays all my games and not really missing RT. Consoles have a place (I still own a few) but PC's offer more, than just gaming IMO.
@@RonniSchmidt-mi7pd ya no.... Newer and more powerful architecture and higher clock speeds make up for the 6 v 8 core. And remember the RAM isn't shared between system and GPU.
Also - at the end of it - you have a PC. And can do pretty much anything from any platform from any era - and actually - you know - do some work now and then on it. It's worth adding that the comparisons are based on Sony's own pre launch figures in terms of upgrade/uplift. Now I'm not saying Sony are outright lying - but I bet every claim of "X% improvement" is a cherry picked best case scenario. They always are.
$950 for a console killer vs $700 + $tand + diskdrive + annual fee to play online + more expensive games.. Seems like there is now a convenience fee on console gaming. If youre technical..build a dang pc!!
And with Sony it is even more dangerous. They’ve made system updates that remove console features, they will remove rights and delist things so you can never redownload them. And yeah, they don’t sell their digital codes anywhere so they control the prices entirely on their digital store.
I already own a regular PS5 and I'm building a PC for roughly double the price of the PS5 Pro but it's interesting to try to mimic it as much as possible.
One thing I think videos keep getting wrong about Playstation Plus and its cost is that it isn't as cut and dry as "you have to pay to play online". The most played games on almost every system, be it PC, PS, XBOX, are F2P and on both Xbox and PS you don't need online subscriptions to play those games, eg Warzone, Fortnite, Valorant etc. Moreover, I'd say the PS+ Extra is great value. Sure its £99 per year but there's 462 games in the game catalog (PS equivalent of Game Pass). And those games are games you'd be paying £20-60 for. Regardless of price there's just some incredible titles in there: Bloodbourne, Animal Well, Undertale, Remnant 2, Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, RE2, Uncharted series, Last of us Part 1 remake, Death Stranding, Doom Etneral, Returnal, Control, Disco Elysium, God of War....I could list another 20 easily. There's 1000's of hours of brilliant gaming to be had. If I bought god of war on steam it would set me back $50. Or sure pick it up on CDK for like $15 but even then after you've bought a handful of games you've made up the cost difference I spent on PS+ Extra. I appreciate theres even more nuance but I don't want to write war and peace ha P.S - PS+ Gives you pretty hefty discounts as well so the money really isn't as simple as £99 gone
If you don't mind buying used GPU. RTX 2080ti for $200-250 is about 30% faster than standard PS5 and has 11GB of Vram and DLSS! PS5 is close to 2070S or 2080, but these GPUs only have 8GB or Vram so I don't recommend them in 2024. 2080ti is significantly faster then the PS5, so it would let you play games with higher settings, or you could use same optimized settings but bump up render resolution. But the biggest winner is DLSS which looks significantly better than FSR. For example the PS5 will play Alan Wake 2 at 60fps, 1440p FSR balanced (872p render), but 2080ti will do the same framerate in 2160p DLSS performance (1080p). The difference in PQ will be like night and day. If you wanna do 1440p DLSS balanced this would still look much cleaner than FSR. I'm speaking from my own experience as I have a PS5 from day one, and I'm also using 2080ti in my PC.
@@yassertechtips5568Yeah, not even close. It's like comparing a 2080 desktop to a 2080 laptop... Sure, same specs, but the laptop/console version is about 30% less than the desktop in actual performance.

This is one of the better pc vs ps5 pro videos out there, unlike Jay's video of an heavily compromised non-spec matching machine microcenter ad video. That said, there are a few credits left out for the console. CPU wise, it's literally a slightly underclocked 3700x, but on the pro it can boost 10% higher. The 28% increased memory bandwidth also matters as Zen2 was greatly affected by this via infinity fabric. The PS operating system also has less overhead than Windows, so although it seems 5600 is superior on paper, it's really what you need to match PS5 pro gaming experience (as oppose to being flat out better). 4070 was the right choice for comparison as you needed something with AI upscaling. While it's true that is a 60% uplift vs the pro's 45%, between console specific optimizations which most pc content creators don't factor in, and the 200-300% RDNA4 raytraying tech, the PS5 pro should be able to exchange blows depending on the scenario. Lastly, the costs, I applaud you acknowledge the fact that it comes with a controller, but you didn't include that in your PC build for comparison. Shouldn't assume online subscription is a must either, not all games require it for online play (Fortnite is a big example). I don't subscribe myself, but I know it comes with several free retail games every month too (better games and cost less yearly then a pc humble bundle).

I’m a console guy. I’m never going to go through the effort of trying to put all this shit together and build a pc that slightly beats a console and still costs more. I want a box that plays the games I want to play. I realize pc’s can outperform consoles but that’s not really my end goal.
Does more than just outperform. You can put this together in an afternoon if you aren’t completely braindead like most console junkies, and you have access to pretty much every game ever made and multiple storefronts and freebies. I can’t imagine paying nearly 10 a month just for the privilege of playing GAMES I ALREADY PAID FOR online 😂
That's fine, but also realize that there's a whole world of prebuilt PC's out there. And this isn't just about technical specs, PC's can do a whole lot more(even just in regards to gaming) while having access to way more games than any console. Not to mention the superiority of keyboard+mouse input for many games, or even if you like controllers you've got access to a huge variety of options(and you wont have to spend $70+ to replace one...). PC's really are kind of the 'ultimate' gaming platform, even if consoles do still have some advantages. And yes, a bit higher initial price is gonna be the cost, but if you're a gaming enthusiast, it can be very well worth it.
@@jonr7364 Bro let´s stop this "having to pay for online" crap. First of all, the most played online games like Warzone, Apex Legends, fortnite, Valorant, etc DO NOT need PS plus. Second, the ps plus sub also gives you GAMES and you can get a cheap PS plus sub on any key website or digital accounts services, look for it. Emulation? I do that on my android tablet, how is emulation an argument for PC when I can play everything from Atari to PS2 on my 150€ tablet or even Android box on my tv? And just to finish, sports games offer an objectively better experience on console compared to PC. Not only you have more options but also no cheaters and bigger communities. EA FC 24 on PC is rubbish because you get oponents with full 99 overall bronze team, every player 2 meters etc.
@@乾淨核能 Yes, but better value. If the PC was priced like a ps5 pro without disk it would be 933 dollars but it is 910. And you don't have to pay for online. And for 933 you can get a 5600 which crushes the PS5 pro.
Let's be real consoles are for kids that way they can just jump in and play games. They aren't better or worse they just have a different functionality for a different demographic of people
Also factor in the difference of games' prices between platforms. Most games are usually 10 to 20 bucks more expensive than on PC, especially if you go digital
Put together a PC for my kid to take to college, used the same MB as your base system, and originally the same case. Had a leftover 5600X and 6750XT, and picked up 16 Gig of 3600 CL 18 RAM for $35. Found that the case has really poor airflow so replaced it with something better. But overall it is a pretty speedy system, and considering current prices, it would come in around $500. Maybe not PS5Pro speed, but certainly PS5 capability.
Games on PC aren’t always cheaper. Physical games still exist for consoles, and you can get them used sometimes for huge discounts. Even new physical copies of games can be on great discounts, especially if they are older games. The PS5 can play basically all PS4 games, so you have a lot of cheap options. I was able to snag Dark Souls 3 with all of its DLC included for $15. I’m not saying this to defend the PS5 or PS5 Pro. I still prefer PC. I just wish physical PC games still existed :’(
Games are always cheaper, keys or sales are better on PC. Steam is also respected among PC gamers and thats why we all love Steam and hate other GameLauncher like Epic. Steam will never rob you with your digital Games, im not so sure about sony.
@@bearwynn Yes, you are right. It's just that I see people use the "games cheaper on pc" point against consoles when it isn't always true. The cost of the PS5 Pro and disc drive is absolutely insane.
@@venusprinzj8094 Please point me to where I can get Dark Souls 3 plus all of its DLC for $15 on PC. On Steam, the lowest Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition has ever been was $14.44, and that was only one time in April 2020. Most other times it was on sale for $21.24, and ever since January 2022, the lowest it has been is only $42.49. I'm not saying you can't find games cheaper on PC than on console. It definitely happens. But all games are not *always* cheaper on PC.
One thing few ever talk about is the fact that when you have a PC, you can use it as a PC (obviously). If you just get a console, you still probably need to buy a PC anyway. It that's true of you, figure in that $800 you would spend on a laptop during the life of the console to the cost of the console, because that's a cost you don't have to pay if you bought a PC. So that "$700 console" is actually $700 + ($79.99 x 4 year console lifespan) + $800 for a laptop = $1,820. For that price, you could have a high end PC, or a mid tier PC and the monitor, desk, and chair.
I have a PS4 and a 4070 PC I only play the PC for stuff that's not on the PS4. I guess it's all about preferences, but console for me are just reliable and easy to use. I've had my PS4 for a decade now and never had any issues. My PSU failed on my PC once so far in the year i've had it, took a month to get it back through warranty. It mainly depends on the games you play tbh
“I recently bought an RX 6700 XT Sapphire Nitro for $250. I built the entire PC for around $500 , power supply , monitor , ram, cabinet, brand new from Amazon
The difference between PC and Consoles... My gaming PC I bought in 2014... still good today. Yeah I game in 1080p but its still can run any game on the market even new ones.
@@GhoulSolo___ So if you already had a controller you could buy a ps5 pro then could sell the controller since they already have one for $75 brand new knocking the playstation pro cost from $699 to $625.
Most people doesn't count Europe. In Europe PS5 Pro is 800e, that's like 880$. Also ps1,2,3,4, retro consoles, xbox360, nintendo switch emulation with this pc will work smooth. Free online, plenty of apps without ads or anything. Couple ps games are exclusive rn, everything else is on pc. There is game pass which you can share with 8 people. Cheap cd-keys for every game. Settings in games for most fps and adjusted visuals as you like. You want 144fps, just use dlss/fsr and frame generation, you want better visuals, just go native on ultra settings. Turn off shadows and get 10-20fps. Plug and play is good but with pc you can also do that. I just turn on my controller and it's connected to pc. A lot of free games from epic store too. PC will get bloodborne 60fps before PS.
But that's why they may have different use cases. I already have a cool thin and efficient laptop for all my productivity needs. I just need a gaming box that works, that doesn't make me handle extra Windows and drivers non-sense and works well on my 4K OLED TV instantly when I come back from work. From that perspective as a gaming machine, the PS5 is good. Of course if you just want one machine there is nothing that is as versatile as a PC, but that's not the goal of a console to be...
@ZratP I understand and agree but I still think a pc offers advantages that you can't overlook. For one pcs can be upgraded over time without needing to buy a whole new console. Plus with a pc you have access to a wider library of games like indies and mods. A pc seems like a more future proof investment. Nonetheless, I get wanting to game without the hassle. Also ps plus is a thing...
dont forget dan, if using a controller is your thing you can use ANY controller you like. a new controller is also 80 dollars now which is insane. lets not forget about the pc only games as well. there are no games for ps still.
We had an offer last month from 2 retailers in Germany for a finished Gaming PC with a 4070 Super GPU and a Ryzen 5 7500F for 1170€. Compare it now to the PS5 Pro: 800€ for the console 120€ Disc drive 30€ vertical stand 216€ PS Plus essential for 3 years (I calculated 3 years of life span until PS6 arrives and many people would upgrade their PC) Total: 1176€ So both would have over a life span of 3 years the same cost but the PC would be way stronger. I didn’t even count the other advantages the PC brings like cheaper games and so on
Disc drive why? 80%+ of customers buy games digitally on Playstation. But if you still need a disc drive in that case you also need to add disc drive for PC, over wise comparison isn't valid. Then PC also needs Wifi7 for proper comparison. Then PC also needs GPU with advanced RT and ML upscaling features like a 4070. Then PC also needs high quality input peripherals to match DualSense (not some crappy 10$ mouse and keyboard). Oh and DualSense has advanced haptics, microhone, speaker, adaptive triggers. None of that with mouse+kb. Then we come to PS Plus and this is the biggest "fake news" that people spread around. You do not need to pay for PS Plus to play pretty much any most popular online game.
You don't need a vertical stand and you definitely don't need to pay upfront for a 3 year PSplus subscription...and the PS5 pro is perfectly functional without a disk drive. I not defending the PS5 pro price, I think it is a bit Hight considering is not including the drive, but equivalent PC hardware is going to be more expensive than consoles.

I think if you are building a PS5 Pro killer, it is just safer to get a 4070. Gives you a comfortable cushion. I am glad that you are at least acknowledging that. I am just thinking in the long run, it is a better buy as a 4070 will definitely be better and will definitely hold its use longer, and well into the cross gen of next gen. If you are factoring in the lower cost of games, and not needing to pay for PSN, I think you can put that towards the 4070. It doesn't hurt to go with slightly higher surrounding components too, just leave yourself with a buffer.
14:03 Also let's not forget this thing launches in November. Wait a few more weeks and it's Black Friday. You might well be able to slot that 4070 in without blowing your budget I suspect you will be able to beat the PS5 pro.
I recently stopped paying and switched from my ps5 to a 4060 1440p PC, the only thing I miss is the controller and the couch, more games should add controller support
PS5 was the best value option for gamers who prefer to play single player games because there is no pc you can build new that matches a r5 3600 and rx 6700 for $500 brand new, keep in mind that ps5 games are developed with 12GB of VRAM ...ps5 pro just destroyed that proposition lol time jump on pc boys !!
The nice thing about the PS5 or PS5 Pro for most people is that you pick it up at the store and plug it in. The cheapest system I can find on best buy's website with a comparable video card (7700XT) is 1200 bucks. It does have a much faster Ryzen 7700 CPU, but its not in the same price range as a PS5 Pro. There just doesn't seem to be many reasonably priced OEM PCs with a decent component mix. If you like building PCs, you probably already have something faster than a PS5 Pro, or just need $400 to upgrade the video card. If you build a new PC, you should also add a Windows license to the cost. If you build a PC for someone else, you have the continuing cost of providing tech support.
PS5 Pro, I just don't understand it. Where is the value in such a device and ecosystem? I've been a PC user since the 6th generation consoles (Dreamcast, Gamecube, XBOX etc.) and honestly, PC Gaming has (at least for me) been a whole lot cheaper in the long run, while offering superior experiences as well (higher resolution, better framerates etc)... I mean, I still have access to ALL of my 400+ games since 20 years back (and I can run most at 4K and even mod high-res texture packs if I want to) and I have also been able to collect all my games throughout my 80's/90's childhood through emulation, same goes for Nintendo games (don't worry I bought the games, not the consoles however) On the PC I have never.... - paid for online subscription - needed to buy expensive marked up games - felt the urge to re-buy HD remasters - felt the need to own several different console hardware due to "exclusive games" - never needed to change peripherals due to being locked to a specific manufacturer or generation. People tell me that PC is "SO EXPENSIVE" but usually it's just a small extra upfront cost, but when you have bought yourself into the eco-system you can keep your chassi for an eternity, the PSU usually last two platform upgrades (Heck I have a 30 year old fully working PSU still running). Same goes for storage, especially now with SSDs if you use them more as static storage for game- and media- library (causing very few read/write cycles. Today I have 7GB SSD space in total divided on 3 disks). Also, I can often remove the entire platform cost since I would need the PC professionally anyway. I generally only see the GPU as the only actual "gaming cost". These days I keep my platform for 10+ years and upgrade my GPU every 5-6 years (being only an incremental cost as I can recoup some of that cost by selling the previous GPU). Yeah, no. I will never go console again, and now when PC handhelds is a thing. I will likely never won't buy a handheld console either.
TBH current Nvme SSDs have very good lifetimes. If you buy a 2 TB Samsung EVO or comparable SSD you can expect it to last without degradation until about 2000 TB have been written onto it (with heavy use that's around 20-30 years).
@@definitelynotacyborgThat's if you buy a top of the line one. I've had nvme's only last not even 30tb. Also the samsung evo mostly has a 1200 tbw, not 2000.

This comparison is really good! But I think the cost of a good first-party controller needs to be considered. The DualSense is USD 74, the Nintendo Pro Controller is USD 70, and the Xbox Wireless Controller is cheaper at USD 60 but lacks gyro control, unlike the other two and just assuming that we're borrowing a mouse and a keyboard to set up all properly. I probably won't purchase a PS5; with my Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC, I'm well-covered. However, the reality is that our money has lost significant value due to central bank emissions. Inflation has affected all of us. I don't think the PS5 Pro is for everyone, and if I were to buy one, I'd probably go with the base model just to play the exclusives, though I don’t think it’s a bad deal. It's just the most-powerful console that it's for a really-niche audience.
I feel kind of glad I got a PC instead for only about $100-$150 more than the ps5 pro. The 4060ti might not be as quite as good but the intel 13400 is a much better CPU than on the pro , plus you get freedom to optimize your settings for better performance. This also doesn't include things like mods, or DLSS and frame generation. Plus you're actually get a super fast PC with it. I don't know, just seems like better value to me.
Best argument for PC is that you don't need to wait for a patch whenever you have a new console model. I was so frustrated when i open a ps5 game and notice it's just the ps4 version capped at 30 fps 1080p because the developers didn't patch their game ... The same game on PC can be played at 8k if you want even if said game was released 15 years ago
Yeah honestly these days in the era of backwards compatibility and mid generation refreshes console games should just flat out have comprehensive PC like graphics settings. Give us the usual developer optimized Performance and Quality modes as a base for people who just wanna jump in. But also include a menu with advanced settings for power users and future proofing.
Long story short, you cant build a gaming PC with equivalent parts and storage for $699! To be fair you would also need to include accessories and a operating system!
True, but if you factor the cost of games + a subscription I feel like the value offer makes more sense. Say you upgrade systems every generation (PS4 to PS5 or ps4 pro to ps5 pro). In that period of time (8 years since the ps4 pro) you buy a conservative 1 game a year. 8x60 = $480. Add to that the cost of ps plus for 8 years ($160 for 12 months x 8 years = $1280). Not including the vertical stand, in that amount of time you’d have spent $2,460 from console gen to console gen. Easier to stomach paying it bit by bit over the course of 8 years, but for that much you could easily afford to get a basic gaming pc, a 1440p monitor, a keyboard and desk. With whatever you have left over, very slowly upgrade your pc.
@@Middy666 This sounds good, but is not necessarily true. First - the online fee is optional, Second - If you do buy it you get 30-40 free games and extra discounts, and Third - you still have access to physical media, which, when resold makes new games cheaper on the consoles! Also, most people upgrade PCs more often than 8 years.
There are lots of good points for PC gaming, but this is the weakest in my opinion. A phone these days is enough to Google things, see emails, social media, video calls, stream Netflix ect. Productivity is only true if your job requires a computer. Some people work in retail, others in construction and more. Why would your average Joe who just wants to play games, spend thousands on a computer for versatility? It's better to focus on other points.
@@LiberkonRight, and also many people say they don’t want to play on PC for that reason. They worked on a PC all day, they don’t want to come home and get back on a PC. And some people don’t mind, that’s cool too.
Being a PC gamer, I would be wary of ever buying a PS5 pro. My concern is because the PS5 pro cpu isnt good, game developers will release the same old garbage game engines that are cpu bound. This will mean you are still playing the game at 30fps despite a massive increase in horsepower of your machine. I would make my ps5 pro 'match' with a good cpu like the 7600x and a decent but possibly slower gpu like the 6750xt or 7700xt.
speculation... you dont know the inner workings of it no one does, no one has even had their hands on one yet wait till DF or some one reputable does an honest break down of the machine ppl are losing their minds over this thing its crazy
Good video. Detailed. You missed a few option cost for PC: No OS, Keyboard, Mouse, Controller cost. HDMI cable, disk drive. All things must be factored in if you’re factoring in all things for console.
I think its using the new gpu from amd 8000 series that not out yet not sure but I will definitely compare the 3 ps5 pro 6800xt 7700xt and 8000 series that doesn't have high end gou
@@bfhandsomeface409 it’s the shimmering that made me switch. It was so distracting to me and I couldn’t unsee it. Other than that, I actually liked the card and the Adrenaline software is leagues ahead of nvidia control panel
DF has stated several times that the 6700 is somewhere in the region of around 10% faster than the PS5 in games, on average. They just use it over something that is more on par to it like a 6600XT, because it has 10GB of VRAM instead of just 8GB. Which is more comparable to what a PS5 typically uses. They don't want a VRAM limitation to come into play, whenever they are comparing PC and PS5 versions of the game, while using identical settings. Like they said, it's just better to use it, when it comes to graphical comparison tests.
ps5 pro will have 60 underclocked CUs which results in 7700xt performance. an AM5 pc (with 1tb gen4 ssd) that's just as fast in all aspects would cost 100-150 more (depending on component quality). but you can run it with win10, win11, linux, and have access to all games and emulators. as well as afmf2, which doubles visible fps in almost all games (if you have a 144+hz screen that is)
The 4070 is very capable with that large L2 cache and a constantly improving DLSS. But I do very much agree that going for 7700xt would be a downgrade in terms of upscaling and ray tracing, so it has to be the 4070; good call. PCs are expensive, PS5 Pro is less expensive but also a great TV entertainment platform. PC obviously an amazing / essential productivity tool. So both are good (but expensive). Playstation knew what they were doing with this pricing.
I had PS4 pro. I have ps5, switch, and a gaming PC, and a very nice TV. I suspect I am the target market, but this update makes no sense to me personally. (I actually find the UI a little annoying on the PS5, if I'm honest) Basically, I use the PS5 to play online games with friends when cross platform isn't supported, and some PS4 one player games. Yeah, it's nice to just sit on the sofa, but I will just put the price of the PS5 pro towards a GPU. I can also claim the GPU as a business expense. (Heck there is nothing stopping me connecting the PC to the TV, but yeah the PS5 is infinitely more portable for moving room to room) Oh and Sony just increased the price of their controllers. And let's face it as fabulous as the dual sense is, they don't build controllers like they used to But if they convince a very small fraction to purchase it (enough to break even) and it pushes some PS4 users to buy the base Ps5, then I guess Sony will be happy
12:30 The RTX 4070 is the most accurate choice because you have upscaling.... 12GB VRAM buffer.... and 15 percent faster GPU which equals the same as PS5 Pro when factoring Windows OS overhead.
Hey, some comments for you: the 16GB of RAM in the PS5 is a 2 GB for the OS and 14GB for games. So how much is used for the program data and how much is for graphics processing is up to the devs. I also think you're beginning to see devs really take advantage of the 7GB/s data bandwidth more on PS5 now (see Spider-Man 2), so it will be interesting to see what those future PC ports will require (PS5 NvME is capable of around 8GB/s throughput thanks to the hardware compression/decompression chip; most devs just aren't pushing their games that hard because they know it would limit the market on PC). Additionally, the PS5 Pro is now running with a memory bandwidth of 576 GB/s, which is over 10% higher than a 4070. There's a chance that in non-CPU limited scenarios, the PS5 Pro could match the 4070 in some metrics due to this extra bandwidth - especially if the PSSR upscaler is doing a good job & the developer has taken the time to optimize for the console. If we assume these upgrades come with additional power cost, let's say 20%, the PS5 Pro would still be expected to consume around 240W during heavy gaming, which is still way lower than this build - the 4070 alone consumes about that much power under load. While the cost of power doesn't offset the cost of PSN+, it's still a bit more competitive than you present in the video. On the CPU side for the "beats the PS5 Pro": you probably want an 8 core if you are going to build a new PC. Yes, it's more expensive, but when you factor in typical use case for PC gamers has lots of background tasks (all those launchers and RGB managers) and PS5 games are designed to have uninterrupted access to 6 or 7 dedicated cores, then having some extra cores that can handle your PC background tasks is ideal. Finally, the suggestion of "if you have a console game collection, so you might want a disc drive for the PS5 Pro" is a bit unfair to the PS5: the PS5 only supports PS5 and PS4 games, and PS4 emulation is a thing now. So if you want a backwards compatible disc drive, you'd probably want a disc drive for your PC too - and in fact, thanks to emulation you could play more games on the PC than just PS4 and PS5, so it's more value add to the PC than it is to the PS5 Pro! But yes, the PS5 Pro needs to include the disc drive and stand at the current price.
The SSD bandwidth is a good point but not unique to the PS5 Pro. The memory bandwidth difference is negligable when you consider that the PS5 also uses that bandwidth to do its RAM. Hardware specific optimization will have a bigger impact than that small advantage. You can undervolt the 4070 quite nicely to get closer to the PS5. Chances are a PC is still gonna consume more just be the nature of its modularity. 8-cores are unnecessary for gaming. RGB managers - what are you talking about? A launcher like Steam costs you almost nothing in background tasks. If you compare apples to apples - as in you don't run stupid bs in the background cuz the PS5 can't do that either you'll be more than fine with 6 cores. I don't follow your disc drive emulation argument. Most people who emulate don't actually rip their own blu-rays or DVDs but rather hoist the sails and go pirating. You don't buy the necessary equipment for each and every potential system you want to emulate games from - or even buy an original copy of the particular game - let's be real.
@@Innosos On the disc drive point, I was commenting with regards to the logic presented in the video as to the value of a disc drive, not what is typical user behavior. You're right, most people who emulate do so with less-than-legal copies, but if you find value in a PS5 disc drive, you'd probably find value in a PC disc drive as well. And I work in video games professionally. You ABSOLUTELY want 8 cores for modern gaming, esp. on titles that are releasing this year and next. The PS5 is an 8 core CPU with 6.5 cores reserved for the OS. For a PS5-equivalent PC, you would also want 8 cores for the OS and background tasks plus the game. Additionally, many PC games will run on lots of threads if you have more available. Yes, older games do not, but newer games - the kind of games that would be targeted for the PS5 Pro, don't have PS4 versions, and are fully designed for modern PCs, would indeed see a performance benefit to 8 cores - in non-GPU bound scenarios. Most PC gamers though prefer to play in GPU-bound scenarios, so there is a question of user behavior at play too. However, even if you play the games that aren't CPU-bound, if you want to so stuff like capturing gameplay, the PS5's dedicated CPU cores will handle that without as much a performance hit as happens on PC (the PS5 is constantly recording several minutes of your gameplay at all times). And for the SSD - I completely agree that it applies to PC. But he put in a pretty slow SSD because most games to date haven't mandated it (despite plenty of games still showing a performance improvement), but I think buying a slower drive to save bucks is going to begin to see longer load times as more devs take advatnage of the proliferation of faster drives.
Yeah Jay's two cents did a similar episode today. Same thing I've been saying for years and years. Also console hardware is always from previous gen tech. Ps5 pro has a 6000 series gpu and zen 2 cpu lol. My rigs grandfather gpu and great great grandfather cpu.
I built a small form factor pc with a 7800x3d and RTX 4080 for the living room last summer. I have only used my ps5 for Spider-Man 2 since then. It is slightly annoying using windows in the living room but once I hit play on a game it is amazing. 4k for old stuff and DLSS for newer or less optimized games that support it. I’m loving it.
I will never not laugh at the console fanboys that claim you have to pour thousands of dollars into your PC to keep it updated while claiming consoles are more than powerful enough. But the second a "PRO" version of their favorite console is released they're falling all over themselves trying to buy one for that precious performance boost they could have had years earlier if they'd only gone PC in the first place. PC: The "Pro" model was always available.
Also this experiment doesn't even factor in a monitor, which becomes more expensive on the Ps5 Pro side if you really want to justify buying it over the base model. If you're using a 1080p display, your mistake is even considering the Pro model in the first place. However, you can get away with 1080p (but preferably 1440p) on the pc side. Imo a ps5 Pro needs a 4k screen to make it worth it. Specifically, a 4k 120hz VRR screen.
+ Black Friday is coming in two months + PCs are upgradable + Most solo games can be found cracked + A PC isn't restricted to gaming. It's also a professional tool + Your favorite console controller can be used on a PC
RDNA4 GPU's are also coming fairly soon, probably within a couple months of PS5 Pro, give or take. And these will likely offer further improvements in value on the GPU front, and something more directly comparable to PS5 Pro.
"most solo games can be found cracked" that´s a big lie there. Most of 2023 and 2024 best single player games have Denuvo and no crack because Empress doesn´t crack anymore. If you are cracking Indie games don´t even bother discussing about gaming, you are a roach
PCs are marginally upgradable. I think this is a very oversold talking point in the PC vs console debate. There are so many socket, PCIE lane, and DDR updates every few years. I think buying tech early on in any new generation of those types of technologies is bad value. Maturity in a socket, PCIE Lane, and DDR iteration allow hardware developers to get actual results from those infrastructures. Then by the time you build a PC with mature hardware, if you want to upgrade and actually get value out of those upgrades, you need a new motherboard, maybe a new PSU. This requirement of needing to upgrade multiple components at a time is especially common because Intel has the majority of the CPU market share (usually a socket change every 2 generations, constantly seeing power draw go up), and NVidia has the vast majority of the GPU marketshare (constantly seeing power draw go up).
@@maynardburger However it's likely the new GPU is just as expensive as the PS5 Pro.. I'm a PC guy but I wouldn't tell the average parent to build a PC just so their son can play spoderman. It might be funny but this is the truth. There are more birthday kids out there asking for a console each year than all of PC gaming combined.
I think a lot if ppl might disagree with going Nvidia 4070 instead of an amd one but I think you made the right choice. If I had to guess, the gpu is probably gonna be like an 8600XT with more vram maybe. Idk tho. Originally everyone was saying it’s most like an underclocked 7800xt. Also, I think if you compared buying a PS5pro and a PS6 to buying a PS6 quality PC, I think there’d be a more compelling argument.
A $1400 PC will get you an AMD 7800 xt with 16 gigs of VRAM a Ryzen 7 7700x CPU that clocks between 4.5 and 5.4 GHz, 32 gigs of Ram and an SSD... so yes that will beat anything that remains of "this gen" plus anything "next gen" as well which will equal to about 10 years.
Besides not having to pay for online, you also have access to playstation and xbox games on steam.

Very close but I see a problem;
Equivelant GPU = equivelant performance BUT equivelant CPU ≠ equivelant performance
You've got a heavier OS doing more tasks, not to mention the 3600/x has SEVERLY less bandwidth which general especially RAY TRACING absolutely needs. Ideally you need better infinity cache, nvme 4.0, and to take advantage of ReBar/ SAM. Faster transfer speed from SSD to CPU to RAM back to CPU to VRAM is a negative performance factor on pc that consoles don't have.
Ryzen 3000-5000 chips very much DO benefit from having four sticks of RAM in gaming as well by 8-15% in "modern" games, so 4x8 3600 cl 16 or even 18 is fiiine but optional
A 5600 non x (undervolt + stock cooler) and a b550 chipset is required. Definitely snag whatever parts you can USED
ALSO note that a 4070 is absolutely not needed as pointed out by other comments.

Games are absolutely optimized on PS5 as evident by the vast majority of titles that run on 60 fps. The issue is the GPU and it's aging compute capabilities. Especially in Unreal engine 5; the engine is upscaling at too low of a resolution. I don't know why people are acting like bang for buck is the primary reason someone would pick a PC or console. It's probably more about how you like to play, where you like to play, where your friends are, what games are specific to each etc. Basically buy whatever you want, buy both, who cares?

Well deciding what is best for you can be a difficult choice. It still wont be for everybody, but many write it off too quickly and have many misunderstandings about it.
@@aaronclay4665 Yah but they can buy a PS5 instead of a Pro right, does it matter if they don't have the uber version? Ultimately it still shows the bang for buck of the platform is probably a lower consideration. I have been a PC main since the 90s but owned/played all consoles the whole time until XBO/PS3; Switch for Nintendo. I still remember all the venom getting chucked out in the PS3 vs 360 vs PC era, just never got it. I really wish Sega would make a comeback. Would really love to play a new virtua fighter.
I appreciate theres even more nuance but I don't want to write war and peace ha
P.S - PS+ Gives you pretty hefty discounts as well so the money really isn't as simple as £99 gone

I'd save money by getting the 6800 or 7700xt and get a more powerful CPU. That 3600 will if not already be a bottleneck with something like a 4070
Tell that to the PS5 pro... its still uses a potato for a cpu
@@evilpotatoman9436 It's a weird choice for them not to upgrade the otherwise amazing R5 3600. With powerful GPU comes great CPU responsibilities.
They will waste up to 20% FPS with that bottleneck.

@@evilpotatoman9436 they use a 3700 rather than a 3600... and that#s still enough for all the gpus out there in this price range. just because they are slower on a 4090 you don't need a cpu that satifsy the conditions of a 4090
RDNA4 GPU's will be coming out in the same ballpark as PS5 Pro anyways.

After you add in the CD-ROM drive for the PS5 pro and the stand you're over $800. You also can do a lot more with a PC
You can but I don't. I do almost all my lot more on a laptop.
The PS5 pro will cost 800 euros in Europe. add the disc drive that costs 150 euros and you are up to over 950 euros. The pS5 pro will cost 1050 euros in sweden due to high tax rates and such. add the disc drive on top of that and you will get a cost over 1100 euros here. So a PC quickly becomes an more viable option.

I can relate with having owned PS from PSX to PS4. And PC since the early 90s, we used to game on them until I couldn't (think this was around TR5) system requirements wise in the 90s the PCs were having to be replaced a lot as a youth. I went to console for SNES & PS1 era then spent some time on both. But I went back to maining PC in 2016, Still can't play WoW on console and Steam library as far as I know. I never owned a PS5 and 3DS/New 3DS were my last portable consoles (encrypted game saves had to be decrypted to backup).
I’m a console guy. I’m never going to go through the effort of trying to put all this shit together and build a pc that slightly beats a console and still costs more. I want a box that plays the games I want to play. I realize pc’s can outperform consoles but that’s not really my end goal.
Yup my thoughts exactly I only got a pc this year because I saw a game called star citizen and wanted to play that
Does more than just outperform. You can put this together in an afternoon if you aren’t completely braindead like most console junkies, and you have access to pretty much every game ever made and multiple storefronts and freebies.

$300 console over a $700 PC, understandable. $700 console, $800 with a disc drive, over a decent gaming PC around the same price, lunacy.

People are also forgetting that the ps5 pro is just a console, a pc has way more functionality.
But that's why they may have different use cases.
I already have a cool thin and efficient laptop for all my productivity needs.
I just need a gaming box that works, that doesn't make me handle extra Windows and drivers non-sense and works well on my 4K OLED TV instantly when I come back from work.

Cool content, cool how this channel grew, keep up the great work!
We had an offer last month from 2 retailers in Germany for a finished Gaming PC with a 4070 Super GPU and a Ryzen 5 7500F for 1170€.
Compare it now to the PS5 Pro:
800€ for the console
120€ Disc drive
30€ vertical stand
216€ PS Plus essential for 3 years (I calculated 3 years of life span until PS6 arrives and many people would upgrade their PC)
Total: 1176€
So both would have over a life span of 3 years the same cost but the PC would be way stronger.
Ps Plus is optional u don’t need to play Multiplayer games most buy the PS for story games to play it on a couch and chill

The nice thing about the PS5 or PS5 Pro for most people is that you pick it up at the store and plug it in.

It does have a much faster Ryzen 7700 CPU, but its not in the same price range as a PS5 Pro.
There just doesn't seem to be many reasonably priced OEM PCs with a decent component mix.

If you build a new PC, you should also add a Windows license to the cost.
If you build a PC for someone else, you have the continuing cost of providing tech support.
People buy windows?
tbh the Windows license is like 10-15 bucks...
I mean, I still have access to ALL of my 400+ games since 20 years back (and I can run most at 4K and even mod high-res texture packs if I want to) and I have also been able to collect all my games throughout my 80's/90's childhood through emulation, same goes for Nintendo games (don't worry I bought the games, not the consoles however)
On the PC I have never....
- paid for online subscription
- needed to buy expensive marked up games
- felt the urge to re-buy HD remasters
- felt the need to own several different console hardware due to "exclusive games"
- never needed to change peripherals due to being locked to a specific manufacturer or generation.

Give us the usual developer optimized Performance and Quality modes as a base for people who just wanna jump in. But also include a menu with advanced settings for power users and future proofing.
These 2 can not be compared! PC is KING and will always be PERIOD
Long story short, you cant build a gaming PC with equivalent parts and storage for $699! To be fair you would also need to include accessories and a operating system!
Just get a free windows 10 license

That’s going to be so embarrassing if Sony can beat FSR. The bar is pretty low, FSR is absolutely terrible
They are going to. If they couldn't, they would just use fsr. Why invest the money?!!
I think its using the new gpu from amd 8000 series that not out yet not sure but I will definitely compare the 3 ps5 pro 6800xt 7700xt and 8000 series that doesn't have high end gou
@@Kapono5150 FSR at 4K is actually good, maybe at 1080p it’s bad, not sure.
@@bfhandsomeface409 it’s the shimmering that made me switch. It was so distracting to me and I couldn’t unsee it. Other than that, I actually liked the card and the Adrenaline software is leagues ahead of nvidia control panel
they already did... what are you talking about? can 6700 give you 60 fps in 4k?
DF has stated several times that the 6700 is somewhere in the region of around 10% faster than the PS5 in games, on average. They just use it over something that is more on par to it like a 6600XT, because it has 10GB of VRAM instead of just 8GB. Which is more comparable to what a PS5 typically uses. They don't want a VRAM limitation to come into play, whenever they are comparing PC and PS5 versions of the game, while using identical settings. Like they said, it's just better to use it, when it comes to graphical comparison tests.
I've just build a PC a month ago, R5 5600x with 7900xtx, still playing games with my PS5 a lot more 😅
ps5 pro will have 60 underclocked CUs which results in 7700xt performance.
an AM5 pc (with 1tb gen4 ssd) that's just as fast in all aspects would cost 100-150 more (depending on component quality).
but you can run it with win10, win11, linux, and have access to all games and emulators.
as well as afmf2, which doubles visible fps in almost all games (if you have a 144+hz screen that is)
the 12700K COMBO. on micro center was like $250
The 4070 is very capable with that large L2 cache and a constantly improving DLSS.
I have a 4070 Super R7700X system. I just prefer console. Maybe I’m just old and lazy but I do. PS5 Pro is a day one purchase for me.
I have both also and will probably pick up the pro! Consoles are just so streamlined and simple!
You are a part of the problem.
Crack is real
Well, you definitely don't like money or performance.
I had PS4 pro. I have ps5, switch, and a gaming PC, and a very nice TV. I suspect I am the target market, but this update makes no sense to me personally.
(I actually find the UI a little annoying on the PS5, if I'm honest)
Basically, I use the PS5 to play online games with friends when cross platform isn't supported, and some PS4 one player games.
Yeah, it's nice to just sit on the sofa, but I will just put the price of the PS5 pro towards a GPU. I can also claim the GPU as a business expense. (Heck there is nothing stopping me connecting the PC to the TV, but yeah the PS5 is infinitely more portable for moving room to room)
Oh and Sony just increased the price of their controllers. And let's face it as fabulous as the dual sense is, they don't build controllers like they used to
But if they convince a very small fraction to purchase it (enough to break even) and it pushes some PS4 users to buy the base Ps5, then I guess Sony will be happy
@@Innosos
On the disc drive point, I was commenting with regards to the logic presented in the video as to the value of a disc drive, not what is typical user behavior.
So glad I swichtrd to pc last year!
nobody cares pc clown
I built a small form factor pc with a 7800x3d and RTX 4080 for the living room last summer. I have only used my ps5 for Spider-Man 2 since then. It is slightly annoying using windows in the living room but once I hit play on a game it is amazing. 4k for old stuff and DLSS for newer or less optimized games that support it. I’m loving it.
Do you really need dlss for a 4080?
+ Black Friday is coming in two months
+ PCs are upgradable
+ Most solo games can be found cracked
+ A PC isn't restricted to gaming. It's also a professional tool
+ Your favorite console controller can be used on a PC
*Good thing about PCs is that you can some of those items a lot cheaper, especially bundle deals*
but console can also resell games
@@RelyksJ True, but can get a lot of free games on PC, some very good games.
A $1400 PC will get you an AMD 7800 xt with 16 gigs of VRAM a Ryzen 7 7700x
CPU that clocks between 4.5 and 5.4
GHz, 32 gigs of Ram and an SSD... so yes that will beat anything that remains of "this gen" plus anything "next gen" as well which will equal to about 10 years.
Change the CPU to a Ryzen 7600x as they perform basically the same in gaming and get a better GPU like a 7900gre or 7900xt
No one keeps a GPU for 10 years lol
i say rx 7800xt is good for another 2-3 year with help of frame gen on 2k monitor i have one and its a beast
Buy a used GPU or whole used PC for less than $699.
