I've always thought that the Fennek is practically the perfect recce vehicle - it's fast, has half-decent cross-country mobility, and its small size makes it stealthy, which is exactly what you want when doing classical 'mud recce' taskings. Its major failing, though, is that it doesn't offer a lot of protection against mines or IED's.

As a reconnaissance vehicle it would seem valid, while for troop transport it would require a hatch on the back. Does the flat under-excavation guarantee valid anti-mine effectiveness???

Without the heavy weapons and classified gear, armored cars like this could be very useful in Florida,US. When anyone reaches the ripe old age of 15, they are entitled to a learners; permit. At 16 a operators' license. If they somehow pass school driving classes, they DO NOT have to take a road test. A month, or less, after the license is issue someone dies.
