The first time I’ve heard about bergamot was in connection to Swedish snus. Some of them are flavored using this citrus variety. Now golden sliced - to me anyways - has bergamot topping. Definitely bergamot.
Adore OGS have many tins of it in my cellar gaining some age. Really changes after a couple of years on it. The 50g tin is very much a flake and the 100g tins have a rope of it. In the UK we have a vintage Orlik too which comes in a brown tin.
I'm on my 2nd tin of OGS (primarily because I'm breaking in 2 new pipes) and i find the perique to be very light in this blend. I think it's comparable to Peterson Flake, which lists no perique.

Love both of your pipes. What are the make and model

My favourite...sadly no longer available in the U.K.
And 20% is a lot of Perique. This probably has 2% or less. Bright Virginia has its own spice characteristics
It just barely has Perique and that’s just to cool down the Bright Virginia which can burn hot. I don’t even consider it a Va/Per
