@@Cal90208 That’s nothing to be ashamed of! I think it just means that you are nostalgic! I still get that way with some of the old Amtrak commercials!
I enjoyed e video of the Pacific Surfliner. I rode on it on 5/27/2017 to & from Oxnard, CA to visit the Ventura-Oxnard area for the day. I enjoyed my trip on board the Pacific Surfliner very much. It was very relaxing, comfortable & enjoyable. I will be riding the Pacific Surfliners more often in the future when I'm home in the Civilized San Diego area between San Diego, Los Angeles & Oxnard alternating between Los Angeles & Oxnard. It beats driving, the bus. I travel long distance by Amtrak and will become a regular rider on the Pacific Surfliner. I rode on it a total of 9 times, 7 of those times were when it was called the San Diegans when it only went between San Diego & Los Angeles. The Pacific Surfliner is the best way to travel. The young lady in the video reminds me of my late daughter, Sh used to ride the Pacific Surfliners between San Diego, Los Angeles & San Luis Obispo when she lived in Imperial Beach.
Ernest Jay I would agree. Though flying it convent because of time, it does tend to get uncomfortable. I’m not a big fan of flying, which is why I prefer train travel.
The only way I want to travel long distance inside the U.S.Mainland & Canada is by Amtrak & ViaRail Canada passenger train. My flying is restricted to only Trans Pacific flights between Los Angeles & Manila, Los Angeles & Honolulu, San Diego & Honolulu where the only other choices are travel by merchant freighter across the Pacific Ocean or don't travel trans Pacific at all.
Actually flying is slower You will have reduced travel time but you have to go through security and check in and find a place to park makes it slower than a train ride Airplanes are recommended for long trips
Ever since I started riding the Pacific Surfliners between San Diego, Los Angeles & Oxnard on my visits home to the Civilized San Diego area for visits up to a week, I’m becoming a regular rider on the Pacific Surfliners, it beats driving, beats the bus & flying domestically. From where I live at in the Ugly,Backward,1870’s,BarbariN,Sh#thole,Loser City Tucson metro area I have no choice but to drive because the Sunset Limited is only triweekly when it should be daily and there should be more passenger train service between Tucson,Phoenix, Yuma,Palm Springs & Los Angeles as I-10 between Casa Grande,AZ & Chandler,AZ is only 4 lanes,2 in each direction when it needs to be widened, but the state of Arizona won’t do that at all as that stretch of I-10 is slowly turning into a parking lot like it is already a parking lots between Downtown Los Angeles & I-215 in San Bernardino.
Christopher S. O' flying instead of riding the train is several orders of magnitude faster, but only slightly more expensive. I’m not convinced that rail is worthwhile (at least in SoCal).
@@danm6665 Rail travel is worthwhile if you don't like the hassle of the airport. And if you don't care about speed. I would much rather sit back in a impressive train, enjoy the views, and just enjoy the train itself than be stuck in a plane after security, and seeing clouds. Rail travel also leaves a smaller carbon footprint
Dan M are you flying on the freeway? There is no way it takes less than 3 hrs. It takes almost 3 hrs with a bit of traffic and it takes way longer with traffic. Lol
@@filibertogarced My GPS is saying it takes 1:51 to get from Santa Barbara to Fullerton. Add traffic, that is still less than the train. I love the train, but it is slower than cars.
I LOVE YOU AMTRAK!!!! this made my eyes water, I love amtrak THAT much
Awesomeboy _13_ wow I found your channel on sc44 Fan lol

When wake up i hear the Pacific surfliner horns in the morning and I like it
When air travel getting worse, Train is getting better, the only thing that plane still better than a train is length travel time.

Trains are so much bigger on the inside that buses or airplanes!
@@AmtrakandAWVRFan I love train travel, I also love aviation and plane travel. But at the end of the day, Amtrak wins
I love Amtrak I wrote on it from San Diego to Oceanside
Amtrak is honestly amazing. I always love taking it with my friends to eat at the spaghetti factory at Fullerton.
Can't wait to go either business or coach to Santa Barbara, I've loved trains since I was a kid!!😅

I live in SoCal and would love to take the train sometime. But it takes 3.5 hours to get to Santa Barbra from Fullerton. That’s slower than driving.
