So in general, those applying after March 2020 with USMLE exams without step2 CS aren’t qualified. There are lots of students who have graduated after 2020, so none qualifies since there’s no more Step 2CS post Covid. Perhaps GMC should update this and make an alternative pathway for these new graduates who have taken Step 1, Step 2 CK and OET. Well except they are not willing to accommodate us. Best option is to take the PLAB route if UK is where you want or stick to USMLE pathway and hope you get matched soon. This information is for those who already got all their USMLE exams done before March 2020 and not for new graduates.

Basically , there is a registration certificate called BMDC (Bangladesh Medical and Dental council) just like MCI registration certificate (Medical council of India) . We have a temporary certificate of BMDC , along with our MCI registration certificate as well thereafter , we'll be registering ourselves in kashmir by JK medical council as well when we return home. My Question is - If Insha'Allah in future we decide to go for PLAB , will that permanent BMDC registration certificate of Bangladesh be required anywhere even though If we would have our MCI certificate registration and JK medical council registration as well? If you are a graduate of a European medical school, u r eligible for plab registration. Irrespective of your citizenship..only ielts academic exam is required.

@@Missdovanova You have to call GMC first. They will confirm whether you are eligible using that pathway and then send you a form to fill. Apart from that, some documentation needed. You will know the process step by step as you go on.
It took me 3 months to complete everything. But it depends, how long you take to supply them the documents. Good Standing Certificates, forms to be completed by your line in manager from wherever you worked for last 5 years which are confirmed by them by contacting your supervisors directly. Results go through ECFMG to epicecfmg etc. But as I said, you will know the process when they supply you with the form after confirming your eligibility.

If I'm applying for UKFP, will the GMC handle my PLAB 1 booking, because it's really hard to book a seat within the same year that I'm applying in
UKFP has in the past helped in creating a priority system to those who are found eligible for the foundation program but have yet to take PLAB 1.

No, that stipulation is related to applying for GMC registration via this pathway, not to your application for training. You can still go for the UK.
