One thing I like doing with king especially against the blue/gold ranks is using single pokes into grabs. So DF1 a couple times into a gs or 1,2,1 D, 1,2 into another throw. We battled in one of your streams back when you were a battle ruler, but it'd be fun to do again!
Played with you yesterday as king player (ninja costume with blindfold). I was so happy to fight with you that got so nervous and couldn't play right ahah! GG
@@Santanazation I'd say the opposite 😅 King's low attacks are supposed to be bad to force you to use throws as low attacks. So I'd keep Ali Kick bad - and also have f,f,n,2 nerfed. But I'd want muscle buster Oki back. It's weird having King be very minus after muscle buster and the old BT 3 OKI was cool and hard to do.
To be honest- I haven't really started playing in the Gold Ranks proper yet outside of playing a through Tekken Kings on the way there- I would say at this point though, EVERYONE has their offence game nailed down (they know what works for combos, setups and flow charts) but the difference between the really good players is whether they also have high defence stats. I've honestly played (in Player Match) Xiyaou's who still haven defence under 40- so for those players IF you can break their momentum and start your own pressure, they fall apart like a cheap suit. But the really strong players know how to play defence and adapt to your own playstyle and right now I'd say that's maybe 60% of the opponents
orange rank king here and ive been watching your vids soaking up knowlegde but I wanna ask since this happens a lot in my matches at my rank. How do you stop ppl from mashing and rushing you down as king? how do i apply my own pressure more so they fear me and stop pressing so much?
It depends which char's they're playing, some chars are just rush down by design (Reina, Hwoarang, Nina)- but for those who just mash regardless, probably your best tool for those players is B3 as a "get off me!" tool as it's pretty low risk. For the longterm, it's all part of learning when you can take your turn back, so holding back, wait for the string to finish and then using something like 21, 12 or DF12 to take your turn back again- rule of thumb, most strings generally are not "plus" at the end of them (unless the final hit is a low) so try to wait them out and then use your jabs to stop them starting the next one!
Can tou do a video on myscke armour showing when we can and should be using it? I rarely use it and in trying to but never really know when its safe to do it i.e after blocked attacks, minus frames etc.

I dont put much faith in the rank system even though its been fixed sort of. But as u know because u called me a legend i just to blue ranks
