You can take it off. I have a large tracer unit. Also all of my cheap mid cap mags were to loose (i think cyma and some other brand) honestly just buy a few mags that are the same kinda p-mag style from g&g. Save your self the hassle of testing out mags if you can.

Unfortunatly the trigger does some of the mechanical work, but maybe somethings possible.

Is the outer barrel shroud needed or can it be removed to put one a larger tracer unit like the acetech lighter bt
It can be removed and a tracer unit can be added. But it’s made to use the same 14mm style tracer a M4 uses so removing it wouldn’t be needed
