Good health is so hard to find. Cost of doing business just keeps going up higher and higher making it less profitable and more stressful. Excellent video thank you.

I have been feeling the burnout for awhile now. I did back off the gym for the last year to let my shoulder heal. And have dropped 30lbs. I need to get back at it. I will be 51 next month and 30 years of roofing has taken a toll. My life is good, I have no reason to be down but yet I am feeling it perhaps harder than ever. I will snap out of it but the time to walk away from roofing is coming.

I'm in HVAC business but have learned so much from you as I recently needed my roof replaced. and so as in HVAC you have to educate yourself to the current products and services. I started as a younger man in the Forestry, Landscaping business, so got a kick out of your "trees through the forest" quote. And it's okay because I know exactly what you mean. Which is "I can't see the forest for the trees". Simple definition is you're overwhelmed by minor issues, details and tasks that hinder your best decision-making or problem solving abilities. And suggest a need for stepping back, reassessing and reevaluating. It happens in all trades that require a skill, hard work and long or "on-call" hours. I got my new roof replaced yesterday and learned so much from your channel! I wish you continued success and good health!

Those are excellent tips for managing burnout, especially as a business owner. It’s so important to recognize when you need to take a step back and recharge. It's a great reminder to prioritize self-care while juggling the demands of running a business.

Thank you for posting this. It goes overlooked all the time. Burnout is real, and can take people to a dark place. Hard work cannot be sustained without rest.

That part about exercise couldn't be more true. I spent most of my life taking medication and seeing psychologists until I found out that just exercising every morning does more than any of the medicine they ever tried to give me.

    Hello,
My home country is Turkey! I am here since 1999. It is a beautiful country and culture! There is really great food. All kind of kebabs!
You should see Cappadocia area in central Turkey Ürgüp, Göreme, Avanos and under ground city Derinkuyu.
Family destination! I am not sure for weather in November. Best time to travel summer! Don’t forget the hot air balloon!

Hey Dimitri , I’ve been struggling with major clinical depression so I’ve been told and I don’t know what to do with myself. My company is going well the money is coming in, everyone is getting paid well and I don’t want to let them down by falling apart

@@RoofingInsights3.0 I exercise some probably not as much as I should , and my family life is great I have two beautiful little boys and wife.
I have no vices no drugs or alcohol.
It started afew years ago when I got on a plane for work over on an island which I’ve been to many times , had a small nap then I suddenly woke up having bad panic attacks which I’ve never experienced before and things have been going downhill mentally for me ever since a lot has happened since , I’ve tried a number of medications but they don’t work so I stopped. whatever this brain fog/ anxiety / depression is I believe it’s here to stay and I just need to deal with it. I was a mess when it first happened but afew years on it’s still there but I’ve managed to sort of get used it but it’s still there and some days I just don’t know if I can continue feeling like the world is crumbling around me cause the happy chemicals in my brain are nonexistent . I want my life back but running the roofing business and watching over my family and employees takes priority.
I apologise for the tone and the 10 page novel . You don’t have to feel like you have to respond and I don’t need anybody’s help. I just needed to say something or vent or whatever.
