Awesome video, you're such an amazing storyteller recounting your adventure. My eyes teared up in joy watching you clear the fight. I cannot wait to see how your journey continues to progress.
This is one of the coolest ffxiv series ive ever seen. Most of us just fly through the game more like its a chore than an experience. Solo play seems to really force the player to engage with all the systems of the game to get the clear. Your excitement of getting a ilvl 150 crafting top or some mats dropping or clearing a trial is like clearing a savage fight for me lol Makes me wish the game as a whole had its difficulty cranked up so "achievements" actually meant something.
I love this series so much because it makes you look at every single aspect of the game thats available, no matter how obscure, even stuff that people have completely forgotten about (potentially even the devs!!)
I love how your choice to include chat interactions really highlights that even though this is a Solo challenge ff14 is still a game about community....even if that community is not that great at predicting door RNG 😅
i really like that this channel got the same spirit as one of my favorite "push to the limits of the game" Runescape Channels, Settled, i think a long time ago if you could do a "Solo Run" of FF14 but quickly decide to it's to hard or imposible, but, you did it, you actually did it, a fucking solo fight of Bismark, you my man, have my absolut respect and of course a loyal follower.

First of all, this was a blast to watch (as always). Second of all, it's neat watching how your editing and narration have improved with each video you release!
My heart dropped watching you kill the bubbles during the thunder phase! After such a cluch win against the dragon I thought you were about to die from the thunderstrikes. For reference the two bubbles actually baits the lighting strikes onto them, greatly reducing the damage you yourself take. Congrats on the win though! Started my own solo character and I can appreciate the effort that goes into this playthrough!
Somehow I missed this video when it came out, I'm glad I realised and watched it. That was an epic journey and well worth sitting through an hour long video for. Belated congratulations, and well done.
Holy epic story, Batman! Seriously, though, your story telling has been incredible in this series, and this was so much fun to watch. The map saga was kind of insane, but it was funny watching chatters just completely get screwed and banned lol. Very satisfying finally seeing you clear Dusk Vigil as well. Good luck with the rest of Heavensward!!! Have a feeling Aertherochemical Research Facility isn't going to be quite as much of a breeze as The Vault...
Hi there! Map addict here. One of the silly ones that have done that thief map title more than once (and working on getting it on a 3rd character/2nd alt god help me) Really enjoying the series! Still watching the journey to kill the whale (as in I'm being a bad RUclips commenter by commenting before the end of the video for SHAME)... but I didn't expect you to dive into the rabbit hole of maps! Good lord I do it with Blue Mage but you're doing it with WAR. Absolute GOAT. Might be more fun to tease your chat and friends and such... and we can't prove it... But from statistics and rates I think the addicts generally believe that the doors are a roll via RNG regardless of which one you pick (unless one is lit)! Otherwise the three doors in Hidden Uznair for Thief Maps would have ASTRONOMICALLY lower chances.
@@rathgames Despite knowing it could be predetermined to make it more "fair" for chances to be weighted instead of a hard 50/50 I feel like that's being too much of a nitpicker. Hell the funniest things with Shen probably wouldn't have happened otherwise! I also didn't mean to go "ummm actually" tone but now that I've read my comment I apologize it could be taken that way! Just wanted to share fun fact from people that haven't seen the light of day outside of a map in months! I hope you had fun with the high and lows of maps despite it not being integral to you clearing the whale! Seriously man you're putting so much effort into this series. Hopefully I can go throw a few extra bucks to help support you next month! Looking forward to more of your shenanigans!
I still remember soloing this as WHM for the Heavensward relic at level 80. Of course, I had level 80 gear and being level 80 made the epic echo way stronger, but fishing for Afflatus Misery crits in that small window where you can really damage the adds is relatable. On that note, two more levels on Reaper and this would have required significantly fewer optimizations, but solo leveling 20 levels above the expansion would probably take an equally long time... and be way more boring for everyone involved.
@@iPlayOnSpica I was under the impression that Epic Echo scaled with level and now I'm realizing that I never set myself up to test that properly since there is rarely a reason to unsync content unless you're high enough level to steamroll it. In that case, yeah, level hardly makes a difference unless he uses Silver Chocobo Feathers to get gear for it (and I think he has already used them all). Thanks for calling me out on that!
Okay.... further confusion. Located a level 39 alt and hopped into Brayflox's Longstop unsynced. I get a 30% Epic Echo in there as opposed to a whopping 300% on my level 90 main. So something definitely affects it, but I need someone with a spread of job levels to test if that's it.
Found an explanation on consolegameswiki! At level 71, he would have a 60% stat increase rather than 30%. About a 23% increase comparatively which would be noticeable, but by no means the cakewalk solution I thought it would be.
I was there on stream day when you killed it, but I had to AFK cause I was at work. When I came back the victory was there, but when I tried to rewatch it later, for some reason when it got to the bit where you fired the second cannon, the vid just skipped to the victory screen black fade out. I was pretty confused for a bit! Anyway, congrats!!! Reminds me of my first Bismarck Ex solo. Nice choice with the Nier music. I love the fact that treasure maps were the lifehack needed to not need to re-buy the i385 quest set for Reaper or whatever. Very fun! Very Grind!
I regularly run treasure maps with my FC. So seeing you hope to get a particular drop from the LAST room, with a limited amount of maps, my only thought was "That's not going to happen." Even if you would have made it to the last room, there is no guarantee you actually would have gotten what you needed. I'm glad you made it in the end without having to rely on that much RNG. Otherwise we could have been here for another few months.
Amazing video. you really put so much time, effort and skill into this series and I love watching it because of it. Poor Shenpai getting banned though due to maps and RNG

Your excitement of getting a ilvl 150 crafting top or some mats dropping or clearing a trial is like clearing a savage fight for me lol
Makes me wish the game as a whole had its difficulty cranked up so "achievements" actually meant something.
"Sickness must be purged!" is a pretty good voice line, but it's no "Rejoice in the glory of combat!" :P
The line I expect will haunt his dreams sometime soon. "The seas part for we alone!"
Exceptional video, milord!
Thank you :'^) I try my best
That really means a lot. Thank you.
This is seriously one of the greatest series of content related to xiv. It's actually insane what you and the theory crafters have planned out. Incredible stuff.
another amazing video to document this amazing journey! i can't explain how much i look forward to these coming out. it's always such a joy to see you succeed, especially in massive effort situations like this. keep it up, and i can't wait to see more :)
That exact moment you mentioned 60 Maps at all I *knew* what was to come. All those "junk" items I passed on...
First of all, this was a blast to watch (as always). Second of all, it's neat watching how your editing and narration have improved with each video you release!
Incredible! I knew you had it when the first one fell. What an amazing feat! Congratulations! It was such a pleasure to watch!
Belated congratulations, and well done.
oh hello jannet how are you
@@rathgames I am ....thankful for the content you provide, which offers an enjoyable alternative to spending the weekend thinking about my day job :')
@@notjannet :'^}
Absolutely incredible. Looking forward to your next adventure!
One of the silly ones that have done that thief map title more than once (and working on getting it on a 3rd character/2nd alt god help me)
Really enjoying the series!
Yeah this came up when we started maps as well, I just think its way funnier thinking that the doors are predetermined
@@shadowofchaos725 no no youre all good :^) thank you for the kind words gamer
I still remember soloing this as WHM for the Heavensward relic at level 80. Of course, I had level 80 gear and being level 80 made the epic echo way stronger, but fishing for Afflatus Misery crits in that small window where you can really damage the adds is relatable.
On that note, two more levels on Reaper and this would have required significantly fewer optimizations, but solo leveling 20 levels above the expansion would probably take an equally long time... and be way more boring for everyone involved.
He has the same echo strength at 76 vs. 80. It's just the gear difference, since he's stuck with crafted hw gear.
WoW, i didnt even know the island bar existed, never mind it being destroyed. that game over was crazy lol
Amazing Video, Amazing dedication, keep it up! at 46:10 i really felt the pain of not getting the last room.
:'^)
Shenpai being a chaos gremlin cameo as it should be. Congratulations on another successful run! Actually insane.
I can't believe you actually solo'd this. Absolutely incredible.
Solo numero uno :'^)
As someone who recently started my own Solo Only character this seems quite interesting but also fucking terrifying for when I eventually get to HW
I've waited so long for this ❤
Great job rath, i genuinely Believe you might be able to complete the whole game eventually
Very fun! Very Grind!
This was amazing... you deserve way more views
Absolutely incredible!
Mad respect!
This video was AMAZING, congrats on beating Bismarck!
chills. LITERAL CHILLS BRO! I'm so proud of you! con fucking grats my man!!!
You cleared the one thing i didn’t think you could do. Incredible.
Incredible achievement and fantastic video. Will be watching again and again thank you!
Watching this live and seeing you kill the bubbles during lightning phase after the adds I almost cried I swear lmao. CONGRATS!!
Excellent video m'lord
Amazing video. you really put so much time, effort and skill into this series and I love watching it because of it. Poor Shenpai getting banned though due to maps and RNG
That was a beautiful video and Congrats of beating bismark!
Thank you :'^) Im glad you enjoyed
Amazing dedication dude ! Well done !
Good job on the grind still entertaining without major spoilers i love watching your content
Congratulations for completing this immense roadblock!
Yippee
Thanks!
woah thank you
I remember watching this live and how the stream died right as he killed Bismark.
I’d like to take this chance to formally apologize for saying “oh I feel like bismark won’t be as bad” after you beat ravana.
But seriously those streams were a wild time, you deserved that win! And excellent job with the video as always ouo)/
Love the series, unlucky for me u Stream only when its midnight but the Videos are a good way to see how u keep up!
Thaaank you :^}
I cried watching this video you did amazing rath keep it up! I wanna see just how far you will go

Have to say you are probably making the best content on this game.
You did absolutely fantastic, milord. WELL PLAYED!! TO THE NEXT!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
AN HOUR LONG WE’VE BEEN BLESSED!!! Congratulations man, I was there when the whale went down and I still can’t believe you did it. Incredible achievement. Now let’s hope you can get through the rest of hsw!

Seeing how far we have come and seeing what’s ahead of us I wonder if the palace grind would have been better considering the dps check we on now at acian prime
I gotta like comment and share just for that sheer amount of grind, soon as aquapolis came up i knew you were going into hell
I love this series actually the warrior of light here doing everything and I mean EVERYTHING to succeed I love this I can't wait to see how far you'll go 🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is unbelievable. Im convinced you might have the most intimate knowledge of this game
An HOUR of the funny solo man? Boy was it worth the wait since last episode
Don't stop keep going am following your journey since the first video you uploaded 👍
