A great video showcasing the whole fortiview feature of fortigate. One of my most love feature about fortigates. Keep those coming, mate. P.S., the background music does get me distracted while being nice, I personally believe that you better ditched it but well I am me. 😅
Yeah, I am not set on it either way. I feel like people are leaving videos early and missing out on some critical information that is later in the video because of that. It may be because of my editing or singular camera shot. Guess we shall see.
Good overview. One thing I would be interested in hearing about is what are some approaches to dealing with IPS policies. At the moment I generally put the default IPS policy on our Outside to DMZ rules, but this generates a lot of irrelevant alarms in FortiAnalyzer (like alarms for Mirai.Botnet against windows servers which would not be affected). Is it common for people just to leave it like this so they can be like "Wow, look at all the attacks my IPS are blocking" or is it more common for people to make more granular policies so the blocked attacks in FortiAnalyzer become more relevant
Hi Mike, Just a questions, what is you favorite build to use till date? For my self, i always stick with 5.6.X as i found it is most stable to me till today, even on client side and myself setup at home.. Mind to share urs and why are you using it.. Thanks
I personally run 6.0.9 I would like to go to 6.2.5 once it comes out if they resolve the issues that 6.2.4 brought out (or exacerbated) I may very well just wait and skip to 6.4.x code though as I'm more impressed with it so far.
Is FortiView standard on a FortiGate? I don't see it on my 61E anywhere. I am running 6.4 (it was a new unit and I didn't think much about it before I configured it).
What do you like most about FortiView? Has it made your life better? Post below!

Absolutely
Is it still worth to buy this 50e WiFi model with license till 2024 for home use? Or better something cheeper like 60D without license?
good overview, I always use FortiView since day 1 it have been included.
btw, if Mike suggest to upgrade to fortiOS 6.2.3? it is stable?
I have some folks running 6.2.3 without issue.
And FortiView is gone in 6.4. Surprised you didn't mention that.
Hi, would you say 6.2.3 is stable, i saw your post on 6.2.4 issues, i need to upgrade from 6.2.0

It comes on all newer devices. On 6.4 they moved where it is. Check under the security fabric.
