Hell yeah, I hope you’re doing good! I know shits kinda up in the air economy wise. Do you take video ideas? I have a 2004 buell blast myself, but belts seem to be a gamble, anyway to convert from a 3/4in t139 belt to a 1in belt that Harley uses today? Btw, what area are you located?

Hey thanks! That does seem like the type of conversion I would like to do. I was able to find a belt years ago after mine snapped on me. It’s funny though, Harley belts rarely go bad and they seem to last forever. I work on a ton of Harley’s and I have yet to do a belt. I would also think once you got a wider transmission pulley you would probably need to change the wheel in the back to accommodate a wider belt. It may be an upgrade I do some day. I’m in Pennsylvania outside of Philly 🤘🏻

@@ddubsgarage8285nice! I’m in the Missouri area, I picked up a buell that the belt snap on (got it for 960, runs and starts with no problems). Found out Harley doesn’t make the belt and left to scouring the 30+ belts online with very “good” and not so good reviews, some as bad as “I put the belt on, rode 3 miles and was left stranded when the belt came apart”. I’ll let you know what my results are, ordered two, one from Amazon from a Chinese seller, one from eBay from a place based out of Kentucky. Hopefully one is good enough to get me home if bad fortune shows up. Hell, I’d try a chain conversion if I had the knowledge on that stuff but I’m farm from a bike mechanic.

@@vashspecter oh gotcha, I guess I got lucky finding my belt a while back. I guess it’s more the baggers I have never seen a bad belt on. It’s funny, I actually looked into doing a chain conversion because I thought it would look cool 😂 part of the reason Harley uses belts is to dampen their rough offset firing order and smooth out your ride a bit. Let me know how you make out 🤘🏻
