- I show how to install a cb radio in a semi truck as I mount the Stryker 655 version 2 into my 2016 Peterbilt 389 Flat top semi truck. This shows the process from start to finish on what it takes to get a cb radio installed in a semi truck. Big shout out to @GroundControl204 for all the knowledge and help with the radio. Check him out if you're in the market for a solid Stryker radio or just need to give your current radio a little love.
Thank you for checking out my channel! Please follow along and subscribe to watch as I drive a Peterbilt 389 hauling mainly hazardous materials from plants and refineries to customer locations. I hope to bring insight to those wanting to know more about over the road trucking as well as to those interested in tankers hauling hazmat, or just because trucking is cool, m'kay!
Please feel free to comment and ask questions - this is a great way to interact.
I will do my best to answer them and want to provide links to the things I have in my truck to make my life just a little easier.
As always, keep it between the mayonnaise and the mustard... Take Care!

Let me know if you have any questions on this install. I explained most but could have missed something you need info on.
Hey brother, love the video and the lil guys interest in checking the oil lol. Learn those controls on that radio and get that RF power all the way up, she’ll do her job each and every time. 73👋🏻
@@GroundControl204 will do. Thank you again!!
Just had Ground Control 204 set up a 955v2 for use as a base (no amp). Am considering a 655v2 for my pickup. Beautiful rig, beautiful family, God Bless.
Good choice! He does great work! And the 655 in your truck won’t disappoint!!
Sweet I got me mine 655 about a year ago. Still love it!!

My uncle use to work for Acord and 3 others
👍👍
I would try and get that set lower than that not bad as is but the lower the better
Swr
The pipes created a little interference, now that I’ve changed trucks with shorter pipes I have less than 1.5 👍
How's that Stryker Microphone doing for ya, I considered buying one when I got my 655, but I already had a 636 Astatic.
It worked good for a while. I messed up the plug on accident one day and got a Ranger now, really woke the radio up!
I got 655 to im thinking to buy roadking mic 😊,btw I like this radio
How did you tuck your wires up under the plastic for the antena? I'm really struggling with tucking my wires for a good, clean look.
Could you be a little more specific? What plastic are you referring to here?
@Trucking with TramJam The cb antena you have is tucked in the overhead dash, so you can't see any wires. I can't figure out how to tuck the wiring so you can't see it.
Striker great radio great install
Agreed. It’s a fantastic radio. Thank
You for watching!
All that coiled up coax🤦♂️
