The UNLV full-court press instilled fear in their opponents. That 90’s UNLV was my favorite college team.
Chris Jackson aka Mahmoud Abdul Rauf was the player I emulated growing up. He was unstoppable. You can tell he was special. He forced players to play at his pace. He never looked out of control or pressured. He was shooting 48% on midrange jump shots and 3 pointers so opposing point guards had to bring their A game or get embarrassed. He was most definitely one of the best pure scorers in college basketball history.

Chris Jackson was like Allen Iverson before AI but he was a better shooter and more accurate but not as athletic but remarkably quick as well. He and Timmy Hardaway both had those devastating in and out crossover dribble but Chris would ALWAYS pull up with accurate form. IT's sad how the NBA dogged him because he was coming into his prime. And LJ was like Lebron in that he had that freakish build and athleticism but could put the ball on the floor and score of shoot.

I'm going to answer the 34 year old question in 2024, How did LSU not win it all. 1st of all LSU did not have a True Leader on the Team, a guy to take over, Shaq was a Freshman, Stanley was good in Spurts, Chris was Amazing, however he wasn't the Vocal Leader, and Dale was not a Typical x's and o's coach he was a Great Motivator, so once they entered the tournament they could never get far enough especially with the talent that they had. So now the question has been answered!!!

Better low post arsenal, tougher player, more flexible and fluid aloft, hang time, double-clutches, same hops but not as stiff as LBJ, more athletic and FAR STRONGER (he was a bulldozer with his back to the basket unlike LeBron who is strong only facing the basket), and more explosive overall, both in upper and lower body.
