I'm always a little unsure about those techy/glitchy sounds because they're so unconventional, and I worry they might rub people the wrong way, so I put a LOT of thought and time into choosing the sounds, manipulating them, adjusting them, etc. Means a lot to hear that people like them.
@@JBGreenASMR Nah. I love this stuff. There's an awesome one called Ella ASMR from Korea that does Sci-Fi ones with tech noises that might give some inspiration. I also have fun trying to figure out which type of store or 2nd hand store/flea market she raided for props while listening. (I think she used one of those wood burner tools from a kit to do one once along with what looked like aluminum knitting needles. 🤣)

I was at a Renaissance faire, and I was looking at all the patrons in various historical, fantasy, and creature costumes, and I was thinking about how ren faire communities have a lot of parallels to the ones you described.
Obviously, I get why it's always ok to fall asleep during these procedures, but I think it'd be amusing if for once there was one where "I'm going to talk in a slow, soothing voice for the better part of an hour, but it's absolutely vital that you remain alert and focused for the entire thing or the procedure will be ruined!"
