To answer why the Yellow Mage won’t cast hurting if it loses a leg it’s likely due to it doing La Danse macabre to channel the attack as it does in the overlord.

You also can't use a lucky coin on the necronomicon. DO NOT use the necronomicon in hard mode l, black orb ain't worth it.
