"Review after using it for 1 year"
I bought Baleno Alpha model fully automatic in the year 2019.
Had faced two breakdowns so far (WITH IN A YEAR OF PURCHASE & kms is less that 9500)
1.Rear tyre burst-entire side wall of tyre was damaged.
(kms less than 7000)
2.Fuel pump failure.
These issues are frequently faced issues by baleno customers .
Have not received any proper response for the complaint.Know i regret buying the car !!!
Check all sources before buying -fb,twitter,blog.etc
Maruti has issued a recall to replace all the faulty Fuel Pumps.
have you escalated to Maruti in email? I get immediate response and raja mariyadhai after putting mail to them if any issues in service..veetuke vandhu service panranga..thats where Maruti stands..i hold Swift VXI..no problems in one year

It has LED projector headlights which will have a relatively higher light intensity than the Halogen bulbs and Halogen projectors.

Welcome Brother. The HEARTECT platform is light but it's not that light to form dents easily. But the bumpers are so fragile. Baleno will be stable in and around 100 kmph

Try the Ford Figo Diesel. It's dynamically sorted with excellent highway manners and drivability, it's build strong, has the powerful and peppy Diesel engine with fuel efficiency.
The ordinary cabin looks and poor resale are the negatives
Agree with the admin, but usually the Figo owners keep the car for a long time coz once you go the ford diesel route it’s hard to go back to other companies in India.

Datsun is the low cost budget brand of Nissan. It was pitched against Maruti Suzuki by Nissan to compete with the smaller cars. But it couldn't create an impression in the market.

I'm in search of buying a car which will be suitable for long drives and Hill's. Pls suggest me and my budget is max 6lakhs on road price. I have an idea of altroz, Tiago or wagon r. But altroz is XE base variant is it advisable to go for base variant.
Buy the Tiago mid variant for the price you mentioned. It's not great to buy the base variant.

Since you are using in the Hills, Figo petrol with 96 PS power and great cornering ability is making a choice. Do test drive personally to feel the difference.

Hello brother, the HEARTECT platform which is used to build the Baleno is lighter, but it is not that bad as the internet projects. Also note that Baleno is the best selling car in the premium hatchback segment. Every car has its USP's, goods and bads, which help people to buy it or reject it.
If you are in the market for a premium hatchback with spacious interiors, modern looks, peppy petrol engine and reliability go with the Baleno.

Hello friend, during the test drive we drive the car in different roads, different speeds which will return a relative low fuel efficiency and that to this particular product is an automatic which shows a very poor fuel efficiency. In real world condition you will be getting much better fuel efficiency.

Baleno has the CVT. Swift, WagonR, Ignis have AMT. The AMT syncs well with the 1.2L engine and is refined and efficient

Ford Figo Diesel will be best choice for your requirements. It's powerful with 100 ps Power, it's Peppy in the city, it's stable in the highways, has got the reasonable build quality and is fun for keen drivers.
The negatives are the outdated interiors and features.

Ignis vs Baleno. Which one has a better build quality and drivability?
Both share the similar platform but in different versions and the build and kerb weight are similar.
Baleno is more comfortable than the Ignis due to the Soft tuned suspension.
Ignis has a bit harder suspension to justify it's raised ride height

Baleno has better plastic quality than Maruti Hatchbacks like Swift and Ignis. But i20 has superior fit and finish with top quality plastics
