- Custom cockpit camera views make it quick and easy to access vital parts of your flight deck and its instrument panels during critical stages of flight. This short tutorial video shows you the best way to set them up and access them quickly when needed.

Thank you for not making a 56 min long video for something that simple.
That was so flippin' easy - I was expecting something far more complex - thank you!
That intro tho...(love it!)
Thanks very much
Great idea! It didn't work out of the box, however, since the default key bindings are for normal number keys only, not the numpad (even with NumLock on). So go to "Options/Controls/Keyboard", search for name "custom" and reassign the load and save commands to (ctlr-)alt- key, and everything works like a charm!
Thanks for this tip. I don't remember having had to do that myself, but I may very well have just forgotten!
Thank you Stefan, but I don´t find it. German Version here. I have Benutzerdefinierte Kamera. Those are the ones on teh Keyboard. Can I use both, the ones yet assigned plus the Numpad?
@@uwebestmann2477 Genau, auf deutsch "Benutzerdefinierte Kamera x laden/speichern". Use the right column to assign your additional custom bindings, both columns will be used.
Thanks so much for your tip. I am new to FS2020 coming from X-Plane 11 and had hard time with it. For those like me, that had issues setting up the views, I just learned that you save the view with the Ctrl+Alt+Number by using the main numbers (not the Numpad numbers), But to see (load) the set view you saved then you do it with Ctrl+Alt+ Numpad Number. Thanks so much for your tip!!!!
Very helpful thanks
Great video I have been wanting to set my views up to the # pad keys what you say works for my numbers keys but not on my # pad any ideas?
nice video.. appreciate your not technical support but did you or do you have any issues with the plane pulling right on takeoff roll or on rotate (a320).. Im finding that I have to give it constant left rudder to keep it straight, you dont seem to have that issue in your vids... are you using FS2020 sensitivity settings or controller software ?
Not so far, but then I hadn't experienced it rolling left on landing until recently and that's a known bug.
Very nice and informative video, swift and to the point! And how about assigning the assigned key combos to my hatswitch?
I have not found a way to do this. I don't think it's possible, sadly.
Once I get in a 'view' I find that the mouse can easily cause undesired screen shifting and even flipping - for example, a cockpit view of the throttle quad in the 747-8 will flip over (almost upside down) as I drag the mouse around to focus on something, frequently the view jumps to an entirely new view in the cockpit. There must be a way to stop that from happening, but I haven't found it yet. Can you help?
Hmm, I can't say this is something I've experienced myself. You're not using a head tracker are you? I find this sort of thing happens with my TrackIR when there's another light source in the room but never just from dragging a view around with the right mouse button.
I would like to custom the cockpit views by pressing only one button. Is it possible please!? Thanks in advance.
It's not at the moment unfortunately.
Doesn't seem to work... Then When I press alt+4 or 6 aircraft is pitching left and right.
Im having trouble with this on my Xbox and is it custom camera and idk I’m just lost
i tried, every time i set the view and hit ctrl-alt 1 and then alt 1 it takes me outside and not to the view, what am I doing wrong??
Sorry to hear you're having problems. I would guess that this is due either to not having num lock on, or due to having different key bindings. The controls for setting and selecting camera views can be changed in the settings. If it's neither of these things, I'm afraid I have no idea.
I just had the exact same problem - see my other comment!
How to reset views if you messed up
?
What if you want to save it to a hat switch on the joystick?
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's possible to assign custom views to the hat switch.
@@FilbertFlies custom views default to the joystick hatswitch
@@freightdawg6762 The joystick hat switch switches between preset views, not custom ones. The video explains how to set up custom views.
why the numbers pad keys does n t work to me? where is the setting ?
Not too sure I'm afraid. They worked out the box for me, without needing to set anything up.
The MSFS camera system is awful! We need chaseplane asap
