What do you mean by "alternator is not regulated". I think all regulator outputs are regulated for improvement of DC output (no overvoltage etc.) Did you mean protected? Nice scenery and many boats! 😀
When the alternator goes over temperature the output current is not taken down to regulate the temperature. If you are not careful it will just burn up
Hello, the freezer turns on and off to keep the fridge temperature down. When I did this video our fridge was not insulated and was running 50% of the time. The freezer temperature will fluctuate between -2 and -18/20. Since I insultated the fridge I have taken the on time to about 25%
@@SailingAurora I have two panels and they have both been replaced several times. It seems the amperage goes down after a year or so. It is a lot of work to get them out of the Sika and get the new ones in so it is not just a matter of complaining to the company.
@johanhackman very true, I found out I had applied abit too much sika and it became alot of work to remove one. I hope I don't have to do it again so soon
5:33 man, everything You show is VERY interesting for me :) Thank You !
Thanks very much :)
Hi! I did exactly the same way, my sailboat is what my mind and heart really wants❤
nice video
Great video, stunning pictures! Very clever all the integrated power mgt with B&G!
Thanks Jon, yup it's pretty cool

I noticed that the freezer was set at -18C. Have you considered increasing the setting to lower the current draw on the battery? Cheers.

My solar panels are the same make as yours. I have problems with mine and have had them replaced. It seems they degrade fast. Are yours ok?
I had to replace one of the 55watt ones recently as it was only putting out 14v or so. Interesting to know though, was it just one?
